  1. I lived nearly ten years in Roi-Et and during Songhkran everybody is out of control. My experience, it is the same in the rest of Isaan.
  2. If you are not married and you didn't apply for shared custody you have nothing. https://www.siam-legal.com/legal_services/Child-Custody-in-Thailand.php And taking away the child from the person who have sole custody ( unmarried mother) is a crime which can be punished by law. Your name on the birth certificate gives you no rights at all.
  3. When I visited Germany with my son( 1.5 years old) we organized a letter from the Amphoe that stated that I have the permission of the mother to travel to Germany with our son. On top I had court papers to show that we have shared custody. The Thai Immigration wanted to see the letter from the Amphoe and the German Immigration wanted to see a translation of the court papers.
  4. It is the same with my son. He has the family name of my GF and I am the father on the birth certificate. Normally the hospital is informing the authorities and doing the paper work. My stepson had the family name of his father from birth till the day my GF changed it at the Amphoe. My experience in Thailand is that a name change is really easy so nothing to worry.
  5. This isn't true. If you are not married and the child is under 7 years you have to approach the Family court to gain parental rights. I did that when my son was born. What Nino3 wrote is correct. And btw I have full parental rights like the mother. And for dual citizenship. My government(German) insisted of going through the Family Court route before granting dual citizenship for my son.
  6. What you wrote is true if you have access to artificial lighting, a greenhouse and a proper seedbank which in Thailand isn't the case. You kindly forgot the time which is needed to dry and cure the cannabis to make it smokeable. If you grow outside in Thailand because of the weather( rainy season) you can have only one harvest. Fact is if you use a Thai sativa strain you need at least 6 months to make a proper product. My point is that if they will only allow the production and consumption of CBD Hemp than very quick people will try to make a quick buck by turning CBD oil into THC oil with the method I mentioned in my OP or use one of the other available methods.
  7. It is only a question of time until clever people here will come up with this method or several others to change the CBD I to THC. Easy and cheap: https://future4200.com/t/how-to-convert-cbd-to-thc-mass-production/78722
  8. Maybe you should complain here. Even in Thailand a doctor cannot send away someone in pain. I complained about 2 lawyers with the " Lawyer's Council of Thailand" and both were punished/ had to compensate me: Dental Association of Thailand 71 Ladprao 95, Wangthonglang. Post Box 1589. Bangkok. 10310. Thailand. Total members. 8970. Phone number. 6625394748. Fax number. 6625141100. Email address. [email protected]. Website address. https://www.thaidental.or.th/
  9. Cannabis isn't and never was legal in Nl, it is only decriminalised for personal use. Recreational consumption is tolerated and it is available in "coffeeshops".
  10. From Wikipedia: Isan's total population as of 2010 was 21,305,000. Forty percent of the population is concentrated in the provinces of Khorat, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen, known as "big four of Isan" To me it looks more like 30%.
  11. If you are sued by them it is possible that the court will not allow that you leave Thailand. Keep in mind that the whole case can last quite long and there is always the possibility of an appeal to a higher court. Remember a case of 2 foreigners who have to stay here around 5 years because of damage in a condo they rented.
  12. Your typical lousy excuse when somebody proofs you wrong. You are making things up nothing more and you can't admit when you are wrong. The OP got the laptop sent to him by his employer. How is that importing personal items? Last time when I wrote about importing my dog sent from overseas you said the same. Are you covered in teflon?
  13. Here you go: https://financialtransparency.org/incentive-imbalances-in-thai-customs-enforcement-encourage-illicit-flows/ And here: https://www.ganintegrity.com/portal/country-profiles/thailand/ And if you Google "Thai customs bribery" you can find many more examples. You stand corrected.
  14. In my home country kids in kindergarten and school get tested for free 2-3 times a week.
  15. Not so long ago they lost against Laos: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai–Laotian_Border_War
  16. Offer her an incentive for agreeing to a mutual divorce at the amphoe and signing over parental rights solely to you. Take your daughter to the UK.
  17. This is just pure speculation from your side. The OP stated very clear that the vendor did it and nowhere is written that the vendor suggested it and he agreed What about the other examples apart from importing a dog? Only picking what fits your agenda isn't a proper discussion. And my experience with importing a dog illustrate that Thai customs make some rules as they see fit. Have you ever been to a Thai customs office. What do you think are all the normal people doing there approaching you to help with the formalities for a fee. I can't help myself but you sound like you are working for TAT?
  18. How could he have done it himself? Travel to China and send the package himself? Don't know why the vendor did it? Maybe want to stay under the radar? In any case the OP did nothing wrong. And I can tell you from personal experience that the Thai customs is a law to themselves ( brought my dog with me, had all paperwork and the info from the Thai Embassy was that there is nothing to pay. I had to pay 15,000 Baht under the table to get the dog out of custom. I was there when a couple wanted to import a container of household goods which is tax free for Thais returning from abroad. They charged a " fee" of 40,000 Baht). I confirmed only that you didn't read proper and falsely accused the OP of wrongdoing. And maybe you want to read up on the subject why Toyota went to court and the SEC in the US. It has something to do with Thai customs not honouring the Japanese/Thai free trade agreement about importing tax free parts for cars.
