In other words, you believe what you want to believe and reject all else as propaganda.  I can picture you in Galileo's time screaming "burn the heritic!".

On the contrary, I believe in fact not what is being spoon feed to the general public because of a political agenda.

The earth has been MUCH warmer (and colder) during the past 800,000 years than it is now. Guess what, the polar caps didn't melt and the polar bears waltzed right through the warmer periods.

In the sense that science is man-made you have a point. As for 30,000 climate scientists being a party to a propaganda campaign, not so much.

Happy we agree. I will even tone propaganda down to miss-information.

As for your 30,000 climate scientists, it is like asking the 30 guys NASA have looking for extraterrestrial life, if aliens really exist?

Not one of them will be honest enough to say they had to invent Tetris to keep themselves busy during the long nights at a mountain top in Chile.

In case you have been sleeping for the last year the petrodollar is DEAD. The BRICS are trading oil for yuan and others are jumping aboard. They are afraid to tell the mericans.

You are dreaming all this nonsense up in your sleep?

If you are awake now, try reading this (https://www.economist.com/news/finance-and-economics/21730200-and-forthcoming-communist-party-congress-unlikely-kick-start-it)

Some very big global shifts will change the complexion of all currencies as early as November or possibly later and the dollar is very likely to devalue significantly I believe.

Remember that these are fiat currencies and are not backed by heavy metals or cryptocurrencies,  just superficial smiles saying that "you can trust us with your monies" and that has not been true since the USA went off of the gold standard in 1972 and the American dollar has since been  backed by nothing and the USA is trillions of dollars in debt.

Get some gold or silver or both to have a store of value which transcends currency fluctuations.

In your world the mighty US dollar would be more secure if it was backed by cryptocurrencies. And Bitcoin is backed by what exactly? pigeon droppings? Hot air? greed?

Like to know the gallons of water pushed to gallons of fuel burnt? Once the water gets 100 ft from the boat it is going to slow down to the same speed of the rest of the water. Amazing Thailand. I guess they need to show the people that are getting flooded that they are doing something.

Maybe it is more fuel efficient to use one of these.

  6. It is really anybodies guess, but if you want any guidelines then watch the list of candidates for the Fed chairman that will be sent to congress on November 3rd.

The market is expecting a 25 base point increase in the Fed rate when they meet in December, so if they follow through, this should be a non-event.

Sometime in February they will announce the new Fed chairman. If Yellen is not re-elected, it might set the tone for a stronger dollar in 2018.

    Will it work?

    Yes

Will it make a noticable difference?

    No

    And at what costs?

    Man hours, fuel, pollution, etc.

It is like the old saying, that is all Chinese people jump at the exact same time, the Earth will actually be pushed a little out of its orbit.

True, but the Earth will also be pushed out of its orbit if I jump alone, just a whole lot less.

The only measure I believe is my home made level stick stuck to our outside wall.

Currently 30cm to go before the "water in the house" marker, tides are indeed going to be the factor.

Whenever an area is flooded in Thailand, they always show pictures of a flooded 7-11 shop. Since you are 5 km from the nearest 7-11 store, you should be safe Crossy.

The problem is with the choose files option which will not accept any image larger than I think it is 129kb.

There are a couple of work arounds that will post a larger image.

Some images ( depending on the source ) will let you do a copy / paste and another one is insert image from URL.

There is some information here that may help as a stopgap measure :

    https://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/942998-posting-images-on-to-a-thread/

Everything you need should be on the 1st page.

The advise in the link seem to be out of date:

This image was posted by using method No1 - choose files

Only images less than 7mb work with this method. You will have to use another method if the image is larger.
