After doing 6 years worth of marriage extensions.I would have to agree it requires more signatures than enough.I look at it this way, it usually takes an hour to complete and saves me a further B400,000 stuck in the bank doing nothing for the alternative of a retirement visa,so all in all I don't mind much.I have to admit though the amount of paperwork here is staggering.

Will really help attract quality tourists, make Thailand the pothead capital of the world.
The marijuana is hardly going to be the quality of Amsterdam. As previously stated it's still illegal if it has a THC content(the ingredient that gets you stoned)higher than 0.2%.So the intake of such a low Thc content will be akin to trying to get drunk on a 0% non alcoholic beer.

so - let us see: a person on the minimum (and we all know that is effectively, certainly " up country" for very many the standard) wage is receiving around 2000 baht a week.
Not going to be many going for tests then.
Should keep the numbers manageable...
And that's why I believe Thailand's figures to be highly inacurrate,as compared to the size of their population, hardly anyone has been tested and at 1500 Baht for the ordinary Thai, are unlikely to be either.

OP, you can use the money.
The important thing is to show that the 65k deposit(s) came from overseas. That is topic in itself. Google "FTT code thaivisa"
and all the thaivisa threads will be shown. Lot of good information. Popular thransfer company is transferwise. Recently rebranded to "Wise". You also may need to show money coming from "pension"
If you mention your embassy someone can advise if you can use 'embassy income letter'. Good option.
USA, UK and AU do not provide embassy letter.

You make a good point, but as another poster pointed out the money needs to be seen to come in from outside Thailand.
How is this then possible with Wise(ex transferwise) when although wise extracts funds in my case from my uk account, wise actually pays it into my Siam Commercial from a bank within Thailand.

Some children can be mischievous granted, but these are the charcteristics of a child, because they are just that,a child.
This however does not give an adult carte blanche to exact violence upon a child.
She needs to be given a taste of her own medicine.Public flogging is the order of the day,yes a nice big loss of face and painful exercise.Although two wrongs never make a right,it would surely make her think twice before committing violent acts against a defenceless minor ever again.Shame on her.

Exactly. If they don't issue an Interpol red notice, he will never be caught.
He'll never be brought to justice.
It just has to appear something's being done.
I would think all involved have had their bins nicely lined to ensure his little rich ar*e will never ever see the inside of a courthouse let alone a jail cell.
Can you imagine the consequences if it was Joe Farang that had caused the accident which killed the copper?

no and no. try again.
The government needs to realise,it can't have its cake and eat it too.
The definition of a holiday isn't being released from a 14 day jail term and being tagged.

They can open it up as much as they like, but so long as restrictions exist, what tourist would want to come, with potentially many days of their vacation stuck in a hotel, plus all the paperwork required, not to mention the added expense.
Waste of time&money.
Not what I'd describe as a holiday.

Very informative report.
You,God bless you must have the patience of a saint.I'm gonna sit it out, till all restrictions are lifted, however long that may be.Really could not put myself through all that for a trip to Blighty. This was Holland,UK will be worse.
Mate,I'm a massive fan of your resilience, you certainly managed to eat the elephant piece by piece.
I wish you huge success with your Phuket rehab centre.

I swear I did not put a 10 baht coin on the track to flatten it out and add to my collection. Not my fault.....
The big question is what it brake failure...lol, or was there a track issue where the train jumped the track due to some other mechanical issue. Time to bring in the crane and lift it back up. Where is Thomas the Tank Train when you need him.
Thomas has been in the states celebrating Ringo's 80th birthday.

Although not urgent at this stage,I could do with returning to the UK for a month.2 weeks would be compulsory self isolation imposed by the UK govt, and a further 2 weeks tying up a few odds and ends.
Being married to a Thai for 17 years I fall into number 6 of the 11 eligible categories, but can anyone tell me where I am supposed to obtain within the UK "a Health certificate clarifying no risk of COVID-19, using a RT-PCR laboratory technique, issued no more than 72 hours before travelling (required from passengers in Types 2, 3, and 6-11).
I have read on the net these are not obtainable within the UK,let alone within 72 hours of flying.
As said I could do with going to the UK,but don't wish to be locked out of Thailand where I live.
Any advice appreciated.

Go ask the poor Thai citizens lining the streets in sweltering hot weather, holding their hands out for food rations, what's amazing to them about Thailand.

Extremely sorry to hear the plight of this man, however he will be taken to hospital and treated free of charge for his injuries. Its about time the Thai government reciprocated for long term residents here.
Hope the gentleman makes a speedy recovery, and the racists found, arrested and feel the full force of the law.
