  1. May all the junk food locations worldwide fail. Processed food. One of the scourges of ' modern' man.
  2. You can't be serious, to quote John McEnroe. https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2024/10/un-commission-finds-war-crimes-and-crimes-against-humanity-israeli-attacks
  3. How many Jews live in Arab lands, you ask. The answer is the whole lot! They've been stealing the Palestinians' land since 1948.
  4. Here are the facts, no wonder the Arab countries attacked Israel. "History of Israel (1948–present) - Wikipedia" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Israel_(1948–present)#:~:text=On 14 May 1948—the,as the State of Israel.
  5. Already mentioned but perhaps needs driving home: a stateless person is not the same as an expat clutching a passport of his own nation.
  6. Israel have continually seized Palestinian land since 1948. If any two state solution is unacceptable to Hamas and Hezbollah, it is because of this A quote from Wikipedia 'By 2010, when direct talks were scheduled to be restarted, continued growth of settlements on the West Bank and continued strong support of settlements by the Israeli government had greatly reduced the land and resources that would be available to a Palestinian state creating doubt among Palestinians and left-wing Israelis that a two-state solution continued to be viable.[84] In January 2012 the European Union Heads of Mission report on East Jerusalem found that Israel's continuing settlement activities and the fragile situation of the Palestinian population in East Jerusalem, as well in area C, was making a two-state solution less likely.'
  7. Jeffrey Sachs provides a concise history of Israel and its actions.
  8. Israel has been land grabbing, persecuting and killing Palestinians since 1948. That is appalling.
  9. Hamad are evil, however there is no justification for Israeli violence since 1948. A two state solution is the way forward but this is always denied by the Israeli PM f Thai workers caught in the crossfire, should leave the country. Let Israelis work their own farms
  10. Pheu Thai were once known as Thai Rak Thai which doesn't suggest any love for foreigners, so this move could be cynically intended as a 483,626 vote grabber. That said, those stateless adults and children, stymied for life by accident of birth, surely deserve to be able to fully participate in Thai life. Just a shame it couldn't be proposed by the People's Party along with Pheu Thai. The dinosaurs, of course, will never join
  11. I understand Thais who have borrowed a lot of money to work in Israel, wanting desperately to at least pay that money off before coming home, but that country will never be safe after its extreme violence towards its neighbours for several decades. By the way, this story is already 24 hours old.
  12. Trump is not only a fascist, he's a stupid fascist who is exploited by Putin as a useful idiot
  13. RIP Phil. Thank you for all the music.
  14. Back in LOS from Old Blighty, I took some spanking new £20 bank notes to Kasikorn Bank today. They divided them into two piles, those featuring Queen Elizabeth's head and those with King Charles. They returned all the notes with Charles's head. ' Sorry, we don't take those featuring the new king', they said. Well, well, well. Perhaps he could drop in on his way to Oz, have some fun in a tuk tuk, sample some somtam, etc. Hopefully the banks will relent then and accept the new notes

  16. Some folks have trouble reading and understanding the original post.
  17. No, he can't travel overseas unless he can prove it is necessary on medical grounds. The man is facing very serious charges. And it seems he hasn't offered any evidence to back up his medical claims to need to go abroad. No one is saying he is innocent or guilty, that's up to the judge. Do try to concentrate more.
  18. You like to throw insults around but I fear your statements are frequently devoid of substance. Gambling is an addiction with dens all over Thailand. In addition online sites use insiduous techniques to hook the naive. Many a home has been destroyed by gambling. What do you mean 'I am told Thailand is a democracy so should it not be looking after its people'????
  19. You stop him by the alleged lack of medical documents to back up his claim that overseas treatment is vital.
  20. I'm talking about Thailand where gambling is a scourge.
  21. Yeah, take kids to building sites to live in corrugated shacks with the parents. Or take them to the industrial estates in Chonburi and then pay for day care if they can find it, when the parents are working shifts. The kids are frequently better off at home in the villages with grandparents who are often only in their forties or fifties.
