It will always be up to each state period. It's surprising all the comments about the USA but most countries in Europe have more strict time frames for being able to have one including France for example. But of course no mention of that on this thread by all men.

Now this is really something that Americans should freak out about. Not 50 people sent to Martha's Vineyard for 44 hours. There is every resource available on Martha's Vineyard year round. There are for sure 50 jobs available as well. You act like it's some backwards hick island when in fact it's one of the nicest wealthiest places in the United States with tons of empty mansions from now till June for sweet accommodations. The Massachusetts national guard were called in to ship them off in 44 hours! What a joke. Now they are back in Cape Cod and will probably soon be in the Boston area using their McD's coupons and of course playing with their expensive phones and all wearing very decent clothes. I'm here watching it on TV now. I don't watch CNN however. I was however in both Nantucket and Martha vineyard AFTER Labor Day this year. Both places were very busy and I was there during the week. No. Your post is useless. Knowing exactly what you get visa exempt day wise and how long you can extend it is needed for people to make exact travel plans.

Again. There is not a single word in this post that states the 45 day visa exempt can be EXTENDED for 30 or 45 more days in country at immigration. One expert mentioned it would be 30 days. But can someone FINALLY let all of us know what the exact extension can be for? I completely understand that a 30 or 45 day extension at any immigration office can be denied for some reason. My question is can it for SURE at least be attempted for 30 or 45 days more? Can you please prove it? Thanks! I think if you look just at the Pattaya area with maybe 1 million people in the area it seems that jumpers or people accidentally falling and I think some for sure pushed off the rate seems very high. Bangkok with 8-10 million seem much less even. Moscow and Peking I really don't know about but they are very large populated areas. We also don't even hear about all of these jumps mostly the ones with Westerners involved. I live in a large city in the USA 1/2 the year and it's extremely rare to read about a jumper. The area I'm in has about 5 million in the metro area. When some posters argue this ( not you) I think they just want to be difficult or different, certainly not correct.

What I've seen no one has answered is at the very few places that ask for vax proof are they looking for any certain date of your last vax? Mine was November 2021. I don't know anyone in my home country who got a Covid vax in 2022. If these places or airlines accept your last vax date in 2021 why in the world would they even ask? Seems pretty strange to me.

Your views on drugs is antiquated. Where are you " seeing " these drug addicts and did you go up to them and say " what did you start doing?" . The biggest " gateway" to hard drugs is alcohol btw. Pattaya had losers 30, 20 and 10 years ago. Nothing is increasing. There are many states in the USA where pot is legally sold and the towns that have dispensaries are doing just fine. The few staff at these locations probably have to wear a mask. Why not go by what the majority of customers do? In most large stores it's easy to distance yourself as well. So why would you need a mask?

You have so many problems. Hey it's 6 pm , I'm on Sukhumvit. Hmmm I'm going farther up/down Sukhumvit. Hmm Taxi will take forever. Hmm What is that sky train when I look up!!! I bet it's cheaper and much quicker at 6pm. Elevators and escalators too if you need some extra help.

Why would you ever ask? Why do some foreigners automatically wait until the driver puts their window down and ask/beg to go somewhere? Why doesn't everyone just get in the back seat say hello in Thai, let the driver know where you want to go in Thai and guess what? The driver hits the meter to go and you are off!! How do you know that 45 + 30 is definitely possible?

My country has treated an extremely large amount of Thais with 10 year multiple entry visas on there first or second try for a visa ( the first timers got one entry and 10 year multiple entry the next try. I still see why Thais are treated strictly in other countries as well. For me even a simple 60 day visa in Thailand can take over two weeks to get and they do want a lot stupid things that other countries doing e visas ( instantly or less than 24 hrs in most countries) do not ask for. Now even the METV is much harder to get and takes possibly 3 weeks! So I think you should be more open minded about the whines!! I mean an e visa should simply not take more than 24hrs to get. It's just pure stupidity.

If you can't figure out why Thais do not get 30 or 90 days without a visa to visit Europe or USA or Canada then you may be the goon today. I mean really. Think about this for one minute what might happen if any Thai with a passport could do this?? Think.......

Many people come 90 days + in the Wintertime. You are wrong and people who come 4/5 months are still tourists. Have you ever heard of snow birds? Thousands in Thailand.

It's amazing that the first basic question anyone who receives visa exempt for 30 days and could easily extend in country for 30 more days NOW would ask. Would we be able to arrive with 45 days and then extend 45 more days for 1900 baht after Oct 1. But nowhere is this discussed. If it's 45 days only it's worse! If it's 45 + 15 it's ridiculous!! Why can't these goons know that this would not come up?? It should be 45 + 45.
