  1. Why would anyone need a law to tell them you don't park the WRONG way on a street?
  2. What does your post back to me have anything to do with my question? Of course you will hear tales of woe on this little forum. In real life a lot of foreigners including myself have made good profits on buying and selling condos over the years. If I listened to most of them I would never have started in the first place. I remember clearly selling my first place on Satorn 12 in a slightly older building to a Thai female. Everyone here said " Thais don't buy older buildings " blah blah blah. I've only lived in quiet streets and still do. No karaoke ever. I think Bangkok was great buying and selling over the years. I stopped a few years ago but look forward to buying and selling in the future. Your last point about a yoga studio has nothing to do with buying and selling properties and by your own account you have no idea what happened! I'd stay out of Real Estate big time if I was you. ????
  3. It's a terrible system. Agreed. I entered recently with a six day stop in Turkey. Turkey is not exactly the IT/Tech base of the world lol. I had to do the Thailand ( just the 60 day tourist visa) within a day of my Turkish visa. I type slow and Turkish visa took maybe a few minutes with one thing to upload. I got a six month multiple entry visa minutes later that I can use again on my way home in April. I must have had to upload six/seven things into the Thai visa sight. A couple pages long. Even had to watch two vids to understand some silly things they ask for. Four DAYS later I got a visa. So many completely unnecessary things they ask for. Who the heck would really want to do this for say a 49 day visit? It's absolutely insane. My first six month multiple entry Thai tourist visa years ago was a walk into the Boston consulate ( with an appointment) met the nice lady there we chit chat for exactly 9 minutes as she hand wrote out my visa. I did give her some paperwork that was briefly looked at. Paid and was done! The following year had to be in person or by mail to NYC consulate then it just got harder and harder. Very bad not even slightly thoughtful system. I really think many fifteen year olds could do a much better job.
  4. Hard to believe with that post. Very hard. Article states he was walking down the street. You state he was hiding.
  5. Don't buy properties? As in condo's? Why is that?
  6. I highly doubt it. A simple 75 day overstay. Where do you get he was hiding out from? The only thing mentioned was he was walking down the street. I'm reluctant to go home as millions of people are it's cold lol. I just don't get some of you part time detectives sometimes on here who make up stuff in their head.
  7. Fun? Oi. You guys can all get together for a man's B session followed by lots and lots of whine! Kind of the same as here but different. Best for all of us involved too.
  8. Same old 4 or 5 posters. Something has got to change here.
  9. Elephant in the sisters room. Or Chang. He smoked waaaay more than weed since he was young. Did webfact check fact? I doubt it!
  10. They can reevaluate some archaic rules. Even reporting every 180 days / 6 months is both convenient and they can still keep track of those people who report 90 days now. Thailand can change. You are so harsh! Other countries have also changed year to year. Get over it.
  11. I'm confused where you and another poster KNOW CLEARLY he is no threat to anyone? I read the link twice. No one has any idea of his background before 2 years. Police records in the states etc. I just don't understand your assumption.
  12. That's about 800 people or so.
  13. Yes. You sound like a true peach.
  14. Miserable. You act like the Western squatters on Judge Judy. You know what she would say to you and your lawyer friends?? MOVE!!!!! You seem almost experienced in this BS. So come on tell us. How many fish have you left in your previous homes in the walls?
  15. How many properties have you owned and leased out? With thousands and thousands of apts available to lease it's very easy to find another probably better home. I'd start right in the same building if I was the OP. Stubborn old men only become older and more miserable when fighting about not being a pussy.
  16. Oh. Never mind then. I'll take my stopover instead!
  17. It's 15 hours and 55 minutes by schedule. . Someone somewhere made the 13 hour flight mistake. it is IMPOSSIBLE for a commercial flight to fly from Vancouver to Bangkok in 13 hours!!! https://www.google.com/search?q=flight+ac65&rlz=1CDGOYI_enTH791TH826&oq=flight+ac65&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i22i30j0i390l2.9943j0j4&hl=en-US&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
  18. From Edmonton this new flight MIGHT be worth the extra $$$. 35 hours!! OMG. Tomorrow you'll be in Thailand so fast you might not even need to watch a movie! Good luck. I heard the return flight BKK to Vancouver is even shorter. I love it when the Europeans on here complain about their flight to BKK when most of them can get here non stop in 10/12 hours!
  19. That amount is insane for economy! I'd rather take much longer fly Turkish Air Vancouver to Istanbul to Bkk and do a night or two in a hotel in Istanbul ( cheap and way more comfortable than Business class ) and do the same the way back. See an incredible city each way or just sleep a lot. Probably $1500 ish including Istanbul hotel. $2580!!! Come on! I'm sure Cathay with one connection in Hong Kong was much cheaper than that but they might not be running yet.
  20. That flight was awesome! No morgue. You def don't want to do Singapore -JFK the longest flight in the world at 18 hours. Just did that each way in March and April. The flight was great and slept a lot and that was premium economy.
  21. You couldn't pay me enough to fly China airlines on a long haul flight. Also with the times you quoted I bet some of the layovers are just an hour or so. If your first flight is a little late you may not make the second flight. From the east coast Boston and NYC have similar flight times maybe about 21 hours going 19 1/2-20 going back with a layover. I did Cathay BOS to Hong Kong ( 15-151/2 hour) then Hong Kong to BKK ( 2 ish hours ) several times. There is something about just getting there that I find attractive. I always have an aisle seat to get up and walk around. Emirates going the other way was great but now they have less flights Dubai to BKK. I agree with you the international transfer when doing Seattle to Vancouver is not convenient at all. You must have to enter Canada go through customs get your bags then get to possibly another terminal , check your bags again, go through Canadian customs again and wait for flight. A lot of wasted time.
  22. Never saw a fishbowl 125 Sq meters with a private 15x3 meter outside balcony with great plants, sun chairs , table etc. Top floor corner and amazing views. Walk to every conceivable restaurant, mall, business, gym etc in 10 minutes or less. As a side note. Ever think the HUSBAND could be involved!!?
  23. The flight from Vancouver to BKK is 16 to 16 1/2 hours. More bad reporting. There simply aren't enough people to travel this route even in high season. It will fail. The Thai air New York City to BKK and even Los Angeles to BKK flight should be started again. They were always filled and the airplanes have become more modern and light weight since these routes seized operation. I heard in the past that it's cargo that really makes the $$ on these routes but maybe the new planes can carry more now. I for one prefer a non stop 17 hour flight from New York to Bangkok. Singapore air does daily 18 hour flight NYC to Singapore with no economy seats. Just premium economy and Business. Thai air or someone else should follow this model. Singapore air prices for premium economy are excellent.
