It's pretty small and gets quite crowded often with tons of Russians. Go a little further down to Nang Rum beach ( also military ) but easier going and cheaper! Yes both Thais and foreigners pay the same 20 baht entry. It's super quiet on weekdays and has good food. Also a foreigner can drive in on their own. At the beach you mentioned if you are foreigner and/ or with other foreigners you have to stop at a place , pay more than a Thai pays and take their transport to the beach.

Couldn't you just tell Immigration officer "there are no competent officials here" so let's just skip this silly TM30 thing??

What does " in the future " mean in Thailand? The article says that all IM offices will offer this " in the future ". So for now all the tourists who usually arrive in BKK now have to go back to BKK a week or so before their 45 days is up ( or their 60 day visa is almost up) to get this express service , so now a simple extension will be at least 2,400 baht. Then all new visitors and even many returning ones will find out that Bangkok Immigration is not even close to ANY tourist or central area in Bangkok and arrange transport there. It's easier to stay in Phuket ( I just walked 5 minutes from my hotel to Phuket Immigration right near the beach last April ) or Hua Hin or somewhere and get TM 30 copy from hotel and take your application and picture to local IM office hand in , wait and pick up passport 45 min to 60 min later. Oh yah they will never tell you Bangkok Immigration and others all close for an entire hour everyday for lunch. They still haven't figured out staggering lunch hours to prevent this and speed things up. I will def pass on this glorious opportunity.

Well tonight ( and in some places unfortunately later in the week) CNN and many others will find out that Climate change, abortion rights and the WOKE movement are not what's on the plate tonight at the majority of American households. I live in Massachusetts half the year. We have many dispensaries here. If hospitalizations went up 10% because of cannabis use it would be on every news station in Boston. You can buy weed well over 30% THC if you choose to as well. The 566% stat is sooo over the top and another big lie coming out of Thailand. I know some hospital staff in Bangkok and they said the same thing. Simply not even close to being true.

Most Thais who travel to USA already have and use their 10 year multiple entry visa. Most Thais with GOOD paperwork usually get this visa the second time they go for one and many get it the first time. The 10 year visa is also easy to renew. Your example is poor and Trump has nothing to do with it but he's up n your mind.

A Thai can buy many acres of land in the USA easily and they can get a 10 year multi entry tourist visa and then easily renew it another 10 years. Why in the world are you being such an over the top apologist? I'd love to hear from some normal retirees here. Rich Thais can buy so many different investment properties in the USA and not just one that sits on less than a 1/2 acre of land. You also seem to forget a Thai can easily marry an American and get a green card then citizenship too. There seems to be maybe 4 posters on here that have Thai citizenship ( maybe).

The ( what should be) simple e visa for a single entry 60 day tourist visa is the most pathetic visa system I ever went through! The ( confusing ) things they ask for , and then ask for the same thing again are a joke. One thing is uploading your last 12 months of international travel and it has to be done with ONE pdf!!! Are you kidding me?? Someone should make a U tube vid and show what you need to do to get a Thai visa then maybe show another country like Turkey or many others. THEN after you submit Thailand visa info it could be days or weeks before you get the e visa or find out you have to send more info or maybe even start all over again. Oh yah the visa for Turkey or other countries you often get back within minutes after processing! Who the heck set up the Thailand Tourist visa and METV system? They should be fired.
