  1. Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with their speed at the moment?

I changed from TOT last year and up until a few weeks ago I was quite happy with 3BB but then the download speed is all over the place.

Especially in the evening from about 6.00 onwards. Most nights I am lucky to get get 1 Mb.

I have contacted them but I may as-well talk to the wall in front of me. They have not even sent anyone to check.

Just interested in your opinions before I call again or even god forbid go back to TOT.

Last time I called I asked her if this was anything to do with the government trying out their single gateway.

She went very quiet and just rambled on with the bulk same answers from the script.

    Cheers

  2. Time to leave, mate.coffee1.gif

Looks like quite a few journos may be leaving after the report just published by Reporters without Borders.

It's only going to get worse

my thinking is if you truelly want to be a reporter without borders, then you are free to get out and go report Thailand news from Australia. At least there you wont get jailed.

Thailand doesnt need these moron shltstirrers "reporting" in the same style as they do in Australia.

Same goes with that idiot with the BBC years ago, sitting behind the red barracades defending the poor downtrodden while they tried to burn down Bangkok

    Did you read the report?

  3. They are all the same here I can not think of any company that is run proficiently.

I am with GMMZ and about 2 years ago they bought out a HD box and overnight they made it that you had to have the HD box to get all the Pay TV stations.I had just payed a years premium subsciption and I lost all my English stations.Calling was a complete waste of time so I turned to their facebook page and was amazed at the anger shown by Thais at this decision. Two weeks later they issued free HD boxes to all customers. The power of facebook in this country. Oh and you can not comment on their facebook page anymore. I wonder why?

Macro. Now there is a completely useless company since being bought out by Thais

  4. Instead of interfering with people running their business and forbidding people from having a drink when they want, why not focus attention on something useful, like improving driving habits and enforcing laws that will save lives such as the fact it is illegal to travel in the back of pickups, it is illegal to speed, it is illegal to run red lights etc etc etc. But then, that would mean real work, wouldn't it.

Could not have said better myself Barry.

Every other week there is some new law coming out concerning alcohol. Is this place run by closet muslims ,methodists or something. They can't enforce the laws they already have but still bringing out more.

And this not being able to buy alcohol when you need it. I have a bar/restaurant which opens at 11.00 but even with all the relevent licenses I can not buy alcohol before 11.00 now.Totally pathetic. So I have lose business to close to go shopping in the STUPID selling hours .I live in the sticks so have to travel quite a few clicks to Macro so can take a couple of hours business lost.

Why not educate the animals that it is not OK to rape ,Even if it OK back in thier village in Nakon Si Nowhere.

  5. Perhaps it a great big mistake to build tunnels? Overpasses are much more appropriate in a country that is prone to flooding from monsoons.

Too logical for Thailand plus the 2 year 150 million baht study said tuneels are the way to go.

  6. this has nothing to do with this post but i don't understand the problem some people have with the word "farang". The first foreigners who came to Thailand (it still was Siam at this time) were ambassadors of Louis XIV and they were french (farangset). Farang is the word for non Asian people and it's not racist. Learn thai and the origin of the words.

By the way, there still are people all over the world who call the black people "negros" Is this better?

    Have a nice day everybody

Probably western people do not like being associated with the French.

It is also the way some Thai's use the word in an agressive manner.

Try calling out "hey you Thai" and see the response you get.

  7. Anyone else bothered by use of the term "youngsters"? Admittedly they may be grown up brats, but to me youngster seems more fitting say age 6-9. Treat them as adults, and treat adult racers with firmness: impound the bikes for 6 months first offense and let riders spend at least weekend in jail.

Because most Thai males only have the maturity and intelligence of of a six year old that's why
