  1. Perhaps the UK Government should just do their own analysis on any samples recovered and fully publish them online for future verification by anyone who cares to do so.

For example the parents / siblings of the accused will show familial matches with the evidence assuming they are guilty.

This won't go away, proof of innocence would be just as damning as proof of guilt.

I suspect the Burmese and British governments will be setting this up right now if they care at all about this case.

There's nothing the Thai's could do to prevent this or meddle with it in any way.

Over 45,000 signatures now asking UK government to act

  2. Come on everyone on TV .. if you want to be sure about this then we need 10,000 sigs to move on it to petition the British Embassy and British government for another independent investigation, all people want is real justice and closure for David and Hannahs families, that means 100% without doubt .... get enough voices and the UK gov will have to open an investigation if they havnt already behind closed doors.

We can make a difference for once, all it takes are for good people to do something....

  3. FWIW, we've halved our upcoming vacation time on Koh Phangan from 6 to 3 months as a result of this horrid crime and lack of arrests. If things don't improve, we might cancel altogether and go somewhere else. Our friend has also cancelled his winter vacation to Koh Tao.

If you are after a bit of still unspoilt Thailand why not check out Thung Wua Lean beach just 15 kilometers out of Chumphon.

It has a beautiful beach and it really is still a very friendly place and they are not after your money every 5 mins.

It has restaurant's and bars scattered along the beach serving Thai, Indian and Western food.

There a couple of hotels but mostly bungalow resorts.

It also has a few dive, scuba companies that will take you to uncrowded sites.

I try to get down from Bkk every 2 to 3 weeks just to chill and have a very good Indian curry and few cold ones sitting looking at the view.

  4. Oh how they wish this tragic case would just disappear and be forgotten like the Samui rape and killing of a young British girl and the Chaing Mai and Phi Phi deaths.

But hopefully with social media like this site it will stay in the headlines.

If it was not for the internet this would have been forgotten now and probably 2 or 3 Burmese would be in jail.

And when the sick ***** post things like this on Facebook they deserve to suffer for a long, long timepost-120222-0-54985500-1411995236_thumb.

  5. I can't actually believe that people on Thai Visa are actually denigrating the Thai girl that brought this baby to term and cared for it even though it was not her own. Denigrating her, her religion, her decision to try to make a better life for her own two children by taking money to be a surrogate. Jesus! What is wrong with you people? Don't answer that. I don't want to know what makes certain people so cynical and mean spirited.

Nothing to do with being cynical and mean spirited. Just being realistic

Don't know if you live in Thailand or what but you seem very naive about Thai's and money.

  6. JoePai post # 3

Oh dear more holidays - do they not think of the work lost ................

So you think working a 10-12 hour day for 6 days a week for around 30 baht an hour is a breeze do you?

Do you work under those conditions for that salary?

Perhaps in reality the average Thai employee might just like or in fact deserve a bit more recovery time.

You obviously must be referring to the Burmese and Cambodian workers because the local workers are one of the laziest races I have had the misfortune to employ.

Don't have a holiday every week?I think there is only one other country in the world who has more holidays.India

  7. Now they are tearing down the taxi salas (Story on Phuketwan). I like the way things are done at the moment.

Around 0900 today, many of the salas in Kamala had been abandoned.

Looks like they haven't gotten to Rawai yet. Just drove along the beachfront and the sala across from Nikitas was going strong as was the sala in front of the family mart on the beach road where the taxis took all the car parking in the public parking spaces. Local boss has been known to accept a bob or two to look the other way, but allowing parking in public spaces, directly in front of family mart, is pushing it.

Please let me know when they get rid of that load of Scum.It was one of those aggressive ****s who punched me in the face when I sounded my horn to stop him hitting my car.

I will have a few beers when they get rid of all these pea brained morons

  8. My school's managment just emailed all parents to cancel school tomorrow.

Why? School hours are outside of curfew times.

As if they are not thick enough here already.Give em another day off to get under peoples feet in the supermarket.

  9. So they are only going to fingerprint foreigners not Thai's?

Oh that's right they already know most of the crims in Thailand and have warrants for them but can not bother doing anything about it.That would mean upsetting someone and actually getting off their a-ses and doing what they are paid for.Much easier to let a machine do the work but then they have got to find someone with any sense to operate it.

Bound to turn into a shambolic mess as usual

  10. Just been back to Phuket for the first time in a while.Took two mates and their wives over as they had never been before.Tried to talk them out of it but they insisted. on going.

First day rained so much that the truck go stuck in half a meter of of mud and crap on the back road by Patong hospital.Never seen such a mess in all my life.

Finally got to the hotel after about 3 hours of traffic chaos, sitting having a well deserved beer we witnessed the farang hotel owned having to pay off the tourist police for their services ??.

Headed off to Phuket town the next day via Patong to be greeted with a 2 1/2 hour sit in traffic because of an another accident on the hill then an hour at central.

The place is a complete joke.I pity these people who spend their hard earned money on a holiday to end up spending half their time sitting in traffic jams.

By this time we had all had enough so sat in traffic for another 2 hours to get out of the hell hole.

    The positive news is that.

That is six people who have vowed never to return.

  11. OK lavender, I go every few weeks anyway for sausage, bacon and pies although if in the shopping mall I buy them from there as he has a fridge in there but limited stock. Not sure I would pay 180 TBH as I live 10 mins walk from S & S on 94 and although their portions arfe small I am not a big eater and so a curry and rice can be had for 100 Baht fresh but I will try it once.

As I said I have tried many curry places here and these curries are the only ones that taste like a good old British curry so I don't find that price too bad for the amount of chicken and lots of sauce. If you are a small eater you would probably get two servings from one.

  12. Lavender19, How much are the curries in Soi 41 please ?

Sorry did not take much notice of price as it was added to all my other items.I think around 180 but large portion and the naan about 40.I will try to find receipt but I think that went in the bin.I will probably be back for more soon so will let you know.
