  1. And no photo of the tent when other sources published..
  2. Why does it matter when they bought it? It might have been 35k when they bought it four years ago. But it’s not worth 35k now. Yes, it was worth 35000 thb in 2019 and now its price around 20000 thb in Russia.
  3. Private hospital - yes, without insurance it could be too expensive for her. But government city hospital in Soi Buakhao is rather cheap, Probably she doesn't know it. I think a couple or three hundred baht for injuries treatment, bandaging if necessary and some medicine pills.
  4. No need to repeat Putin regime's propoganda. No need to justify worthless war started because of somebody's imperialistic ambitions. 1. Actually there was no such agreement with Russia (it was with Soviet Union in regard Baltic republics when they were part of SSSR so out of context now). 2. NATO is defensive organization - and why it cannot be expanded? It has open membership policy to accept anyone. 3. In Budapest memorandum Russia provided security assurances to Ukraine in exchange of nuclear weapons but violated it by invading Ukraine in 2014.
  5. Do you prefer to be selfish and save your life or die for nothing as cannon fodder? Just common sense. It is clear until there are mass protests in Russia these youngsters cannot change the regime alone (or you will repressed immediately even for anti-war picture drawn by your daughter in school) when the most of Russian society support it or passive conformists. Stiil, some people are just tourists looking for a holiday after long COVID period.
  6. Of course. The average salary in Russia now is ~800 $ (in regions away from big cities probably half or third of it) and a 2-weeks trip from Moscow to Thailand is around 3000 usd per couple (incl.airticket ~1000 $ pp). Before Ukraine invasion started in 2014 (and the ruble collapse) you could rent out your flat in Moscow for minimum 1000 $ per month and live in Thailand easily but not after.
  7. Well, they didn't expect such an impudent and indecent behavior especially from wealthy farang ???? But the lack of control is not an excuse. So, both sides are guilty )
  8. It is quite risky to plan such tight flight connection, better to stay one night in Bangkok before international flight out.
  9. You can use hotelscombined to see the best rates for a hotel from different providers. Example: Anya Nana At Sukhumvit Bangkok
  10. If not high airticket prices there would be 10 times more Russians in Thailand even only for winter holiday - now that most other tourist destinations are closed for Russians. In 1998 I was at a reception at the Russian Embassy in Bangkok and Trade representative of the Embassy said that half of Russian population would travel for winter holidays in Thailand if there would be lower transport costs ???? There was information that only to Uzbekistan 300 000 Russians had entered in the last year, so 200 000 to Thailand it is not so much ))
  11. It was a fake rally, a so called "puting" - to be used by regime's propoganda. Civil workers were forced to visit it or they would be fired. Students were forced to visit. Other people were paid money to visit it. So there's still no wide support by the Russian people.
  12. There is no mobilization now, but maybe people just fear there will be one soon...
  13. They can buy and carry out of Russia USD, 10 000 per person -without declaration. Visa/MasterCards issued by Russian banks don't work outside Russia any more. Some people issue credit cards in the neighboring countries like Kazakhstan.
  14. I think Serviced Apartments are more expensive than Airbnb because they also include some services - for example, weekly change of linen. The water/electricity tariffs are usually also higher than in normal condo/airbnb. But Serviced Apartments are usually better equipped.
  15. Stayed in The Promenade in February 2007, a budget hotel for 1 night. Also considered Stable Lodge at first even wrote email to them. Soi 8 seemed to be perfect location: quiet yet close to Nana plaza and skytrain station. There was also nice 2-storey Spa at the beginning of soi, with waterfall and soothing music - when I visited it first time, 2 girls at the same time were taking care of my legs for some treatment ☺️ it was funny and they giggled all the time.
  16. Like river flows army after army To bury their faces in the ground So stupid is to perish For someone's folly and ambition
  17. Typical pseudo-patriot, he supports Putin's regime, but goes away to Thailand not to front lines. Well, most of Russian people even don't understand Putin's goals in Ukraine war because they are unfeasible imperialistic fantasies of a crazy man. These people just wish the state to be strong like in Soviet era..
  18. Maybe you block the third-party cookies - then you can allow cookies or add www google.com to the white list for cookies.
  19. Actually Russian citizens don't have 15 days' visas on arrival since March 2007 - instead they have visa exempt stamp for 30 days free of charge (now temporary 45 days). They can go to Laos to get 3 months visas (2 months+1 month extension). The problem is it was always not easy to get this 3 months tourist visa in Russia - you have to present full payment of your stay and full payment of airtickets, proof of finances, certificate of your job - all docs translated and verified. Plus the consulate has always recommended to go on a 30 days visa exempt stamp. So it is much easier to get ED visa or go to Laos or Malaysia for the 3 months tourist visa where no such requirements as in Russia - if you wish to stay long time in Thailand.
  20. Same old propoganda tale about 8 years ) But not enough to justify the attempt to eliminate the whole Ukrainian people.
  21. 10 000 usd without declaration limit is per person, so the family can bring much more. I think a lot of USD in Russia now as imports of foreign goods steeply decreased or stopped and oil exports still continue though at lower prices. Visa / Mastercard cards issues by Russian banks are not working outside Russia now so Usd cash is the main resource for travel abroad. Some people go and issue bank cards in neighboring to Russia countries but it takes a lot of time and money. From my practice of work in travel companies tourists often miscalculate or forget how much exactly they keep at hotel safe then they complain and blame hotel. So it is hard to believe them.
