Out of interest @khunPer how long did the process take after the tea money was paid?
Extremely fast, payment followed signature; i.e. no honey, no money...????

I read in another article that this a catch up for those who received two Sinovac, so not really a booster jab in the true sense.
Yes, it's a booster. The early developed Chinese vaccine is based on dead virus from the original Wuhan virus, which the vaccines were fairly effective against. Unfortunately those early vaccines based on dead Wuhan-virus only provides 13-14 percent protection against the later Delta-variant, but one booster with vector based-vaccine like AZ, or mRNA-based vaccines like Pfizer, can improve that...????

So the second one - "we screwed up etc"
Ever wondered why most western countries did not trust the CCP vaccine?
The Western countries are also beginning booster jabs now, as the vaccines used so far only seems to last between six months and one year. Israel was one of the first countries to roll out mass vaccination - and they used Pfizer - the immunity is running out now, so they begin with boosters.
The Chinese vaccine is based on dead virus from the original Wuhan-virus. Unfortunately the mutated variants, especially Delta, seems to be (much) less protected by dead-virus vaccine, actually only around 13-14 percent according to Thai news. Luckily one booster jab with vector-based AZ, or an mRNA-vaccine, can change that...????

First check the the father will approve an adoption. From experience from a friend, you'll need the father's permission. In my friend's case - the friend is the mother that got married to foreigner - it was extremely difficult, but finally settled by a (relative small) sum of money in exchange for a signature on the right document.

You'll get used to being tall in LoS, if not by others ways, then the hard "head banging" natural method...????????
From years of experience, I can guarantee you that, that method works well...????

Ok - with so few poor people fully vaccinated lets get our HiSo friends vaxed
Or - we screwed up buying and using (continuing to use - but only with the poor) Chinese vaccines.
Choose please Dr. Oops I got it completely wrong but my TIT face does not allow me to say so (in good company with the general)
Booster jabs will be for those that unfortunately got "the poor Chinese vaccines" so they get improved immunity - especially important for front line workers and vulnerable people in hard infected zones - did you sign up for your jabs?????

Many, if not most, European tourists would earlier, befor Covid, take their two weeks holiday on Phuket and hardly commute out of the island, apart from some tours to for example Phi Phi and James Bond Island-area, and like. I'm not sure if the opening to move on was, and is, so important to real tourists - but it certainly is for expats that use the sandbox a more pleasant quarantine - I recall the panic when domestic travelling suddenltly became limited, and demand for special minibusses up north. I know lors of Phuket tourists, many coming back year after year, and they never been up to Bangkok, nor had the interest to head up there.
What's important to real tourists is however to enjoy the holiday, which for Europeans - and probably most Westerners - often is similar to a little better life-style than everyday at home; i.e. enjoy a nice dinner with a glass of wine or a beer, a drink in the afternoon and eventual in the evening after dinner - now they don't need to think about who is going to drive home, and therefore shall not enjoy a drink - and some level of excitement that can be tours in the area and entertainment at night, not necessary beer bars, but for example a cabaret show - that's not what you find in everyday's Europe - or "amazing" classic Thai dance and music, or anything else that is different from European culture and cannot be found at home...????

For tourists, at the moment, why would they come here. Europe is closer, more open, and still summer there. Tourist attractions in Phuket are closed, hard to find restaurants. No alcohol served. So they can stay at their resort and enjoy the beach. At least they could allow to serve drinks in the Hotel for Hotel guests. My opinion: the virus is here in Thailand, the low number of infection coming from outside doesn't justify the q14, 15 or 16 days quarantine anymore. They should open more for travelers, make the quarantine shorter for vaccinated people. Lower the number of tests (total of 4 test within 16 days= 300$) this is a waste tests for those instead of using them for local hotspots. Put more effort in delivering vaccine to the Thai people, this will help.

They "did okay for a while", when foreign expats used the sandbox as a more pleasant quarantine; some had even been waiting for the sandbox to open. Real tourists were most likely limited in numbers from the beginning, and fully understandable that some, perhaps many, of the few real tourists were disappointed, as Phuket was not at all as an usual tourist holiday - if I were a tourist there, I would also have been disappointed.

I wouldn't worry about meal preferences, if I was you, Bangkok Air will still know that you are vegan, and so will a lot others after buying the leaked data, and now everybody after you posted in ASEAN NOW...????
By the way, it's not the first time that some kind of data have been stolen from Bangkok Air, but I didn't see it in the news last time, or got an email from the airline. It'a a number of years ago, and I got several emails from others using my special Bangkok Air email address - i.e. [email protected] - the senders kindly told me that my mailserver had been hacked and encrypted, and I should pay them some money to reopen it.
I of course changed my email address in Frequent Flyer and informed Bangkok Air about the breach, but I never heard anything back. Just for reference I kept the "bkkair"-alias open and emails continue to arrive, the last only a few weeks ago, but now they want cyber-money - ,i.e. Bitcoins or Etherum - to reopen the encryption of my so-called "email server" on "bkkair@...". I of course never paid anything, but wonders how I can continue to receive emails when the mail-server is hacked and encrypted...????

Be aware of box jelly fish - by some mentioned as the most poisonous creature on Earth - especially in calm weather and after rain, or during soft rain, some experts warns.
Sadly, a 9-year-old Israeli boy has died after he was stung by a box jellyfish while swimming at Haad Rin beach on Koh Phangan even he was given immediate first aid and rushed to hospital...
You can read more in Thai language at Mathicon Online'a article (29th August 2021) HERE.
7 years ago we there was a similar sad accident with a French boy, The Guardian article from August 2014 is HERE.
In case of being stung by Box Jelly Fish, some beaches on the islands have emergency posts with vinegar - looks for example like in my photo hereunder - vinegar is the best instant cure while waiting for an ambulance...
Here is an emergency first aid guide in both Thai and English...
Samui Rescue might also be a source for instant ambulance help, their phone number is 077 421 444.
This is what a Box Jellyfish looks like in Wikipedia...

Do farangs carry a paper copy of their passport or even the actual passport in some sort of case, or is their some credit card sized ID format that suffices as legal ID?
Copy of you passport will normally do; i.e. the name & ID-page, and the page with your valid entry-stamp or extension of stay. You can have the photocopy laminated, or just use one of the water tight bags to hang around the neck.
If you have Thai drivers license then that is also a valid ID, it includes either your passport number or your Thai ID-number, if you are registered...????

Sinovac was the only fast available vaccine by that time, and many times better than no vaccine, which was the alternative. The initial problem was rather relating on locally manufactured AZ as the only vaccine in a roll out, but everything are always so clear in the unbearable crystal bright light of hindsight...
From Google...

The Sinovac vaccine is recognised as valid proof of vaccination by these countries:
