  1. Biggest dream right now is winning the 100 million Euro in the EuroJackpot...
  2. Makes really good sense to help the "around 15 million financially vulnerable individuals, instead of the planned 50 million in its proposal"... In reality, if given to 50 million people, it's not a "gift" from the government, it's a loan that the population will need to pay back plus some level of interest...
  3. Please, don't give them any good ideas...
  4. My immigration office – i.e., the one I use – Surat Thani Province, Koh Samui, requires GPS coordinates and Google satellite map (item #7 in the menu card)...
  5. It's online now; so, they don't send you a tax return form by mail anymore. If you cannot find out to it online, you would normally be able to get help at the local tax revenue office; they might register you, give you a password and do it online for first time. You can download a tax return form in English and prefill, so it's easy for the tax revenue officer. The online tax return is available in English; however, some scroll down options are only shown in Thai language. Last date for tax return was 31st March.
  6. Sin sot and party costs usually reflects the status of the families – including the number of invited guest – so, you wife shall have good knowledge about it. Average costs really depends on status; so, average cost in which level. A poor couple's wedding might be a very modest reception, where the money guests bring pays for it all and more (I've experienced that). Higher social level weddings might be with a guest list for hundreds – or even a thousand or more (I've also experienced that) – guests; so, we talk about several millions of baht. In that view, 500,000 baht is not out of range. Dowry is a question of negotiation. Also, if part of the sin sot – or all of it – shall stay with the new married couple. I'm not sure if "Thailand is cheap", especially not when it's higher social level weddings. I've been invited guest at four weddings in those levels, and they didn't appear cheap at all.
  7. So, how can it then be a kind of surprise, worthy a news story...
  8. A common problem that sometimes arise. Could be lots of things underway to Europe or US; higher than usual traffic, router down, or broken connection somewhere, so remaining open gates are overloaded. ASEAN NOW seems to have its server in Singapore.
  9. I'm replying OP on OP's OP; I do't need to read all comments to do that, which is why I quote the opening post, so it's clear what I'm commenting. And you are very welcome not to read my comments, which will save you for of spending time complaining about my posts. And it would be more expensive to fly up to BKK to get entry stamp corrected – money seemed to be a important for OP...😉
  10. I gave OP two options: 1) if she can get her entry stamp corrected; and 2) an extension, if she cannot get her entry stamp corrected. Not that difficult to understand...
  11. Probably: 80 baht for the beer, 35 baht for the lady and 35 baht for the bar = 150...
  12. Seems like a common problem at the moment, it also happened to me; so, I needed to report my address it in person, which I commented in the other thread about the subject.
  13. I can count five, or half of Top-10: Luxembourg, Ireland, Switzerland, Norway and San Marino....
  14. Thailand is already dependant of migrant workers from neighbouring countries; so, what happens when 20 million new jobs appear...
  15. The talk/question was about domestic possibilities. When doing so-called visa run, you leave Thailand and re-enters. I believe we all know that, that is a possibility...
  16. Which is what I suggested...
  17. Haven't heard that – interesting – do you have a quote-link to the change?
  18. So, please tell us what other options OP has...
  19. No – if you are talking about extension of stay; upon entry you need 6 months – but your extension of stay will not be longer than your passport is valid.
  20. Me too – so, I went to the immigration office and they didn't even wish to se my print of TM47, just my passport, took a few minutes to get a new slip stapled into it with another 90-days...
  21. Best thing to do is to visit Samui Immigration in Maenam soi 1, They either can correct your entry stamp, or you can get a 30-days extension of stay for a 1,900 baht fee.
  22. I'm one the old retirees, and I tip where that is appropriate – for example massage; nightclubs; restaurants; workers that do repair job on my house; and some times the kind delivery man, especially if it a large item – people are happy, and it's worth it, especially if you are a returning customer...
  23. To my knowledge and experience, it needs to be images as jpegs, you cannot use pdf.
  24. Agree with above posts; with a non-O based on marriage you are eligible for a work permit.
  25. Heat reflective foil reduces a lot of the heat radiation, which has also been suggested in earlier posts. Even better would be when it's combined with a lowered ceiling and mineral wool between the foil and the ceiling plates. You can even get mineral wool mats covered in reflective foil.
