1. meanwhile yesterday came across 2 indians being done opposite pattaya city walk 15 30 , but today about 16 45 came upon 3 going on at the same time.

1 st one with the footie shirt brigade (mixed bag of clubs today but more ac milan than anything else)opposite the blue lagoon sign.

by the time i came back there were 2 cops, madam jet ski and the extra from the water margin all involved.

2 nd one opposite mcdonalds royal garden plaza 5 lebanese/arabs with another policeman.as i passed the 2nd time no agreement and the cop was directing them to soi 9 police station. best of luck there then!

3 rd one opposite starbucks beach rd 3 or 4 indians again with yet another cop on the scene.

another day on pattaya beach. i could have written this march 2010 when i first came across one for the first time

Shame on Yingluck and her buddies for allowing extortion to run rampant every day.

You don't think Yingluck and her cronnies have bigger fish to fry than a few jetski rip offs in Pattaya? Get real!

  2. I'm a fan of the Garmins.. Maps are updated about every 6 months, Junction-views are updated every 3-6 months, and there's monthly POI updates (covering everything from NGV stations and 7/11's to massage parlours and pet shops). They can also do Thai + English simultaneously (i.e. you can have both languages on-screen at the same time, and elect to type in either one).

MBK is the place to buy.

What model would you recommend? what's the price, approx?

    Thanks

  3. Greetings - Just at The Mitzi Sales showroom today and very interested in the 2.5 GT - especially after reading your chipping posts smile.png

Please can you share more about the chip process?

what are the best garages around Bangkok for chips and dyno?

where did you buy your chips and prices etc?

Any tests on fuel consumption, are they really more economical given the increase in torque and HP?

This thread is turning out to be very interesting indeed.

Well, first off, you're looking at a newer model than what was discussed in this thread (the Mitsu 2.5L engine was upgraded in January 2011). So you could expect ~230HP from adding a piggyback wink.png

Piggybacks cost 5000-15000 Baht, and in most cases are a simple plug-n-play that you can do yourself in a couple of minutes.

Search for the thread "Cheap Diesel Performance" for more info..

Do i understand this correct, putting in a chip or re-mapping will improve fuel consumption? know anywhere it can be done in Pattaya / Chonburi / Rayong or BKK only?

    Thanks

  4. 300,000 THB a day robbed from visitors, for years, in broad daylight on Pattaya Beach and the police protect the criminals.

Same thing happens in Phukett, Samui etc.

    Yawn......

If you have seen actually a jet ski scam take place the last thing it would do is make you yawn.

Everyone harping on about it makes me yawn, i will however make time to go and witness one, any idea of time and location??

Maybe we can start another thread about it once i witness one, just what we need!!!

  5. My portable is a TomTom GO630, works brilliantly and is very accurate, can't the same for the Garmin Mobile PC installed on my carpc but not sure how this reflects on portable Garmin units though.

Thanks for the reply, was that bought here in LOS or taking over from Europe / America / Farangland?

  6. I'm after a good sat nav for my car, can anyone recommend a good make and model number that they have been happy with. How accurate are they for driving in LOS? How does it get on with translations / spellings from Thai to English?

    Thanks

  7. The Thai people in Pattaya do not represent the majority of the population. All the ones in Pattaya are horrible people that only want to rip you off, farangs and thai's alike, they are truly horrible nasty people here and should be treated as so....

Most Thai's in other parts of the nation are generally happy respectful people who are willing to help without the sole intention of monetary gains!!

I now hate 99.9% of the thai's in Pattaya as does the wife - c**ts, the lot of them....

Jet ski guys are a friendly bunch tho - lol

  8. Koh Chang Paradise Resort is the way to go there, around 2k per night and if you can take the pool villa at 5k, it's definitely worth the money.
Indeed Koh Chang is crowded by Russians, but I am not bothered.
Road conditions are not always very good, as the attached picture shows, this was on the way to the navy battle memorial site
WOW - that's a big pot hole....

  9. The beach is very untidy and is a disgrace it is also over run with rats.

It is amazing how the City Hall can allow it to be in such a bad state when it is meant to be the main drawcard to Pattaya if they could just concentrate on cleaning it up and getting rid of all the whisky drinking jet ski scammers ,families living on the sidewalk , drug dealers pimps and Ladyboys it would be much better.

It's the boys and girls that are the main drawcard of Pattaya not the beach, who you trying to kid?

  10. Put the car in for 20K service today ( Mitsubushi Pajero Sports 2011 ), the staff there tell me it needs to go in every 5K for service, that sounds a but frequent to me, anyone have any thoughts on this?

  11. If you are not in a rush to get the watch, I'd rather wait to travel to Malaysia or Singapore. It's about 15% to 20% cheaper then Thailand.

Thanks for that, i bought a Rolex in BKK about 10 years go and claimed the duty back on it when i took it out the country with me at the airport ( this made it a good deal )[/i].

It's been serviced at several locations in Europe and is authentic.
