That’s a great answer Woof999! Really! I used to use Skyscanner but I just forgot about them. Too old. Before, it was EVA for me or with my Thai wife. Going to Toronto this trip I started booking EVA but had a panic attack over their prices. It used to be so much cheaper (haven’t flown since covid). I’m sure a cross-Pacific flight is best (not stopping in the US); I don’t know if middle east stops would be possible for us without hassle. Any preferred BKK-?-YYZ carriers? My preferred departure dates are Jul 28-Aug 3; returning Sept 7-15. Pretty flexible. And very generous NextG!

I’m in Pattaya and need a travel agency to book fights out of country. Years ago I used All Seasons Travel Agency across from Friendship - they knew their stuff and the pricing was fair. Trying to call them just now from Google Search I found a weed shop with that name and a couple of other hits. None of the phone numbers listed went through. Of course, it’s Sunday evening so I will try again, walking by on Monday. If I can’t find it, do you have recommendations for an excellent agency Pattaya Tai / second road area?. Thanks.

I went to Tukcom Pattaya; 2nd floor at noon, no luck in Best Buy, then along to IT City which had it on sale at 2,890 Baht, all in. They tested it and I took it home. It works fine via usb link. As for wifi, I am probably screwing things up on the laptop because I can’t get it to connect. Later, later. Thanks all.

Thanks for that information tomazbider. My plan is to go to Tukom tomorrow, check the few retailers left, buy and carry home if possible. Otherwise, order from HP (saw their ad earlier) and wait a few days.

I’m in Pattaya and just broke my old HP1006 black and white laser printer. I definitely need a new one, not colour, very much prefer HP, INEXPENSIVE, wifi would be nice, available right away, low volume printing, my laptop is Win 11. In 18+ years I had a P1005 before the P1006; both reliable and affordable. I checked the JIB site and it seems they only have office hp printers. I’m checking the Lazada site and am overwhelmed and worried about delivery time. Lazada shows model 107W that looks good. What model do you suggest and where in Pattaya will I find it?

I got a wireless Logitech keyboard (mouse too) a couple of weeks ago from JIB Tukcom Pattaya. Big mistake. It does not have num lock, upper case lights. My fault, didn’t look, assumed they came standard.

Thanks. I had found that thingy. Now to bookmark a page it takes 3 taps not one. The bookmarks and relative location in a chapter are usefully to me, time management-wise and certainly not ornamental.

Ipadios is the latest. I’ve found they’ve replaced the useful features by a thingy you can press to get many of them back, though poorly implemented.

I haven’t read a book on my iPad for a long time. When I tried just now, I see things have changed. Before, every book was formatted to have a section at the front showing cover, chapters and bookmarks. These are now gone. Pages within a chapter used to be able to be bookmarked, top righthand corner - now this feature is gone and is replaced by a circled x which, when pressed, drops me out of the book. There used to be an indicator on the bottom right showing how many pages to a new Chapter, problem other features. How do I restore to the way it was?

I’ve had lots of learning and anger too. I’ve played avi, mp4, mkv with only problem sometimes audio out of sync (tried again and again and then that cleared up). My big problem, affecting most new and old mkvs I’ve tried - no audio. Might have subs, but no audio.

Some changes. I moved the android box power plug to a different power source. First time some lights are on the box. A menu came up on the tv. Bluetooth logo, broom logo, time and date amd these logos: Play Store, YouTube, File, Apps, Kdmc, Firefox, Wallpaper, Settings. At the bottom of the screen, a green A, Prime Video, red play button, white Plus sign. How do I navigate the screen? My new remote has batteries. On its back there are instructions re: using blue buttons. The front of the remote doesn’t have blue buttons. I can turn on a red light but can’t control the screen.

Hi Jai Dee. My MBP has finally died, last throues at least. i plugged in the box, hdmi to tv, usb-2 to external drive, batteries in remote, and … I’m stuck. The connection on the tv identifies as HDMI 3, unknown. No signal. in the installation guide it has 1) connect to your tv, 2) connect to the internet, 3) enjoy. Pretty terse. How do I connect to the internet? On the tv it says run an ethernet cable to the router which is far away. Will I have to keep that cable plugged in? Do I connect it to the new box or to the tv? Thanks.
