Yes, but what if someone steals the money from your account. You may have a hard time getting it back. No guarantees from Thai banks. System here is fraught with problems when money is removed. Not saying you wouldn't get your money back but... My money isn't in a bank. It is spread across multiple low risk investments and institutions. Western banks guarantee a lot more than 1 million baht on deposits. I'm glad you sleep well. I do too.

Have you got an answer? The poster you refer to does not post any facts, only possibilities for scaremongering. I quote you again "If you're out of the country for more than 183 days you will be deemed as non-resident for tax purposes" Where has this legislation been proposed? There is a very specific reason why the the reverse is proposed and that is to stop all the very wealthy using it as a tax loophole. -

Can you link to that proposed legislation. I was under the belief that the proposal was the reverse. People who are resident in Australia for 183 days will not be able to claim non residence for tax purposes. I am not sure the reverse is true at this stage. -
It may be worth trying acupuncture. I have lived with lower back pain all my life. 2 years ago I had 5 acupuncture sessions and it has made a massive difference. For the small investment it really is worth a try. May not work for everybody, but it sure did for me.

I believe the slight edge Wise has is that it is a not an international transaction so it does not attract the 200 to 500 baht international fee that XE does when the funds arrive in your account. I stand to be corrected.
