The three conditions are confusing and unintelligible considering the English language as well as the fact that they are supposedly being dictated by PAD. Why would PAD be "setting conditions" for public rallies? Maybe if the headline stated "PAD sets three conditions for "peaceful" rallies by them", it would make more sense. But even then, in this case, conditions one and two are incongruous with PAD. The third condition is entirely unintelligible under any circumstances and regardless of who is stating it.
In reanalyzing the article, I can interpret it differently and it's not as confusing as originally suggested. Sorry for taking up anyone's time.

Probably a few day laborers were recruited to secure the tanks. In hindsight, it's probably fortunate that they weren't secured properly. Makes the hazard of carrying open tanks on top of any vehicle in residential and commercial areas even more dangerous.

Dangerous. Small gas cylinders moving openly through residential/commercial areas. Very hazardous.

This 50 year US Military/Thai partnership adds up to a boom for Thai sex trade, an increase in drug traffic, lots of siphoned off US taxpayer money for lining corrupt Thai politician pockets. No residual benefit for US taxpayers.

With this "super stealthy warship" they'll be able to "sneak up", "pound targets", and have "incredibly capable sonar system 'strike capability'." therefore, it would make an "ideal" humanitarian and operations center.
The Chinese as well as US taxpayers must be freaking out with these blue prints. General Dempsey and Secretary Panetta should take a tour of depressed economically ravaged US areas such as the Inland Empire in California, and other areas across the country. Millions of Americans are living below the poverty line in makeshift dwellings and tent cities and 11 or 12% of the population is struggling without a job. Hopefully, this military initiated and managed humanitarian and operations center at U-Tapao airport in Thailand will reverse all of that economic hardship in the general's and the secretary's back yard in the good old USA.

This is tragic that Thai authorities would treat this hit and run so inconsequentially. He is 18 and had no intention of admitting the crime.
That Mercedes into the crowded bus stop just died a typical Thai lack of follow. That was extra noteworthy since the driver got out briefly and cursed the crowd then drove off.

Another one bites the dust.
I really would not like the job of having to be first in for the evidence after the suspect has defecated.
It's a shitty job but someone has to do it.
This reminds me of the film Training Day when Denzel Washington shoved the pen down Snoop Dog's throat until he puked the crack he had swallowed. Then Denzel told Ethan Hawk to "gather up the evidence."

What customer would stand there "reading the Ikea catalog aloud?" The linked story indicates that the Thai staff has been working on this for four years. What is "getting to third base" in Thailand? Does Thailand have bases? As in baseball? Is "third base" an actual expression as in American English?

It seems more appropriate, based on magnitude, that the Thai found with 40 million THB worth is more noteworthy. In addition, he was waiting for "his agent." Well, why didn't they wait for his agent and run that one up to the next level and on up again? Thais seem more interested in publicizing the busts of small time African runners rather than Thai nationals that can lead to more important "trade network" and Mr. Bigs. This story illustrates very clearly that their priorities are out of whack or they are putting an intentional bias on protecting local Mr. Bigs.

"The report was never released." Need there be more said?
-
Apart from the "qualified" human resources staffing, how do they fund the technology for all this vocational training? The Thais must be printing money like mad.

This story is tragic- The part two about the train carrying 100 Thai and foreign passengers smashing into the rear of the truck carrying 50 cooking gas tanks is astonishing. Then the rest of the story is more astonishing about them lighting the gas and trying to extinguish the fires. This is some story - should be posted to world news sites. CNN, BBC, ...etc.

Korakot 52!! Calling one at the line of scrimmage. These Thais are amazing in their ability to read an offense. Where was Korakot 52 during the hijacking of the international airport for 10 days 3 1/2 years ago?

They have to start with reading. Thais don't read. You can't grow up and learn or change unless you read. All their big "slogans" in the world will continue to fall flat until the reading and intake of information is dramatically altered in Thailand.

This sounds like a preposterous waste of US taxpayer money for no residual benefit to its citizens at a time when many are suffering economic hardships. Hopefully, the Thais will find other reasons to challenge this scheme and reject it. Unfortunately, if money flows into lining the pockets of Thai politicians, it will probably go forward, at the expense of US taxpayers.

Shameful example of editorial journalism. "...... workers be must stopped" in the headline. Doesn't anyone care to check work at The Nation? Honestly at anytime is atrocious, but in the third lead headline is totally preposterous.

Of course the bills are not intended to get back his money. The modifications are intended to better the lives of all Thais. I haven't read them, but I know that.

The tiger got the chain looped around its own neck enough to strangle it. Each tiger is well treated and has a microchip implanted in it and "registered" in accordance with government regulations. So why is this news? Everything seems to be in order and on the up and up.
-
The idea of the headline didn't seem to be expressed in the article. What exactly is sailing into the political wind?" Some sort of flatulence one would supposed.

This comparison is preposterous. You could compare any of Thailand's past "leaders" to Aung San Suu Kyi and they would come up short. It would be like comparing Nelson Mandela to any other African leader. Thailand has always lacked a purposeful, passionate, inspirational leader that its people could admire and aspire to be. Ironically, Thaksin is about the closest that one could find to standing in the definition and shoes of a leader.
You can't think of one other man in Thailand that is more inspirational as a leader? Take off your red glasses and look a little higher.
Absolutely right. And remember IV and V too. Totally exceptional.
Elected officials in government!!

Nigerians, Colombians, Burmese, Laos, Brits, Americans, Germans, Iranians, - they are all criminals preying on Thais. Rid Thailand of the scourge of foreign influence.

They are controlling it, managing it, measuring it, assuring not to worry about it. The Thais are sensational. The world should follow their lead.

Thai Hospitals Refused To Treat 47 Cancer Patients, Says Doctor
in Thailand News
Posted
This is very sad commentary on Thai bureaucracy and lack of concern for its own citizens. The hospitals refused to accept the lab reports, well okay. The women agreed then to pay the 700 THB for a new testing at an "approved" lab. Then the hospitals rejected the ones requiring treatment anyway. This is inexcusable.
