Interesting that they should add cooking gas to the list, the Government launched a one year price increase plan on cooking gas that doesn't peak until October 2014.
I bought a 25kg (?) canister of gas recently. The one before cost 300 baht, this one was 390 baht ...
Just as well they last about 6 months in our house.

I wonder if they are even factoring in what so many companies are doing and that is to decrease the serving size of packaged goods.
Quite right. I noticed that what used to be a 250 gram block of cheese (which I rarely buy anyway, due to the stupid price here) in Tesco is now down to 200 grams for the same price ...

Boyfriend 41, girl 17, is it not illegal?legal age is 16 or 18?
I think you mean age if consent, which is 18, or 15 with parental consent. 20 if the girl works in a bar.

and they wonder WHY they are hated? time for change
I wonder where on earth this official got the idea of using his position to put a relative in a key job.
Well YL got rid of Tawin so she could put her stooge in his place ... What's sauce for the goose...

In the UK, if there's a parachute malfunction and a person dies, parachute packers are immediately removed from duty and placed on a charge of manslaughter until an investigation has been concluded.
They will be court-martialled if it is thought the incident was due to their negligence.
Further, during training, all packers have to jump with canopies they have packed themselves,. That keeps them on the ball!

Here we go again - increase the price because sales have fallen ...
It's called 'economies of scale' you dolts - DROP the price, take a smaller margin and watch sales volumes increase - THEN increase the price ... Duh!

Foreigners will be charged 500 Baht according the double charging plan.
Double pricing is not just in Thailand. I was in Penang last week and the price for Malays up the Penang Hill funicular was 8 ringgit.
30 ringgit 'all other nationalities' Almost four times more, and it was barely worth it - there's not a lot up there.

You think the Army is the only Government agency which could torture someone? Not the police? Not the Navy or Air Force? Not the DSI, CAPO, etc etc etc. Get real ...

Significant traffic pattern changes would seem to require:
Planning and testing
Community/merchant involvement and input
Prior public education
Media blitz concerning affected areas
Implementation on a non-work day
Positioning traffic assist personnel well in advance of changeover
Enforcement with warnings at first/fines to follow/towingwhen appropriate
This doesn't seem to happen in Thailand from my experience. Very little publicity, very little input and then implementation. The end result is chaos, frustration and back peddling.
That's because the Thai mentality is 'Well, I know about it, so why don't you too'.
They think we are all 'maw doo' and should be able to read what passes for their minds ...

I think you'll find NAPLES is the place where pizza originated - you know, in Italy ...
I have a New Yorker acquaintance who swears black is white that pizza was invented there, and now we have Chicagoans muscling in.
Who cares, as long as it tastes good. The Thai stuff is muck, that's for sure.

Procrastination is certainly the name of the game in this country ...
Do they think that everything will just go away if they put their heads in the sand?

Why do Thais shilly-shally all the time and never actually get on and DO something?

Prison for a long time, a hefty fine and financial restitution to the deceased's family, especially the disabled brother. That's the least that should happen and it would in the UK.
However, TiT, and as people have said, a long holiday in Singapore will probably be all that comes off.
But to be more worried about your car (aka penis length) than the person you killed ... Throw the book at him.

So this is China's way of getting a toehold in (stranglehold on) Thailand ...?

Seconded. Obviously been on the sauce...{/quote]
More likely a spotty faced semi-literate 18 year old backpacker more used to texting, doing his gap year after A levels. Bet he has a waist-length Rasta hairdo, calf-length shorts and a sleeveless Chang singlet ...

I understand khunbenq in that would b ur response as u r a local thai citizen and therefore are truly unable to c the big picture as it truly is. If u were to go to a country far away and watch and read the news from there u too would have a different view. Ur o ly angry coz this persons viewpoint doesnt agree with urs. Westerners will have a different view naturally. Our culture and upbringing and thinking is not the same as thais. If u go to a western country u too will find there are locals there that will response just as u do fornur home. But u as an outsoder will see things differently because ubr on the outside looking in and u as a thai have a different persective on certain things. But if u r unable to accept other peoples opnions no matter how right or wrong they may b then u urself will always remain in a constant state of blindness to the truth/reality of all the good/bad thjngs happening around. If u want peoole to respect ur opninions then u must do that for them also. It is called being matureJeez, any chance of that in English?

She's been given WAY long enough - time to move the case along, and things always get log-jammed around Songkhran.

Only 97%?
Well, as the Americans were the only country to bomb Bangkok, it stands a chance ...

Wouldn't it be easier if the parliament building could be located next to the court buildings that way all the participants would not have so far to walk all they would have to do is pop next door. Is there anyone that isn't facing some charge or other?
Or for Madam to hobble or be pushed in her sympathy wheelchair ...

Remember the old Queen song? 'Under pressure' - Yinglack (and yes, it's spelt that way in Thai) gets even more and Chalerm's case gets kicked out ...
Can they give in gracefully? Of course they can't ...
NACC warned it may face malfeasance charges
