Simple, short and to the point and very conservative numbers as well. Will anyone listen? Probably not.

Lots of blame to go around. The hospital should have taken her in. The government health care system that dose not pay the
hospitals enough or at all. The choice of the lady to go to a private facility where there was a chance of being turned away instead
of a public one. The only blameless person was the poor baby. RIP

Well, it is the reason they moved the capital.

Was there ever a doubt to the outcome.

With about a dozen places having shows how does Po Po know they found the right place. I guess the one that
gave the thinest brown envelope.

First comes the memorandum of understanding. Then the Thai government moves a little further along with
plans on the high speed rail line building contracts. Then the contract for overpriced rice/rubber is signed. Next the contracts
with the Chinese is signed to finance and build the high speed rail line. Plenty for everyone at the trough.
These dances take a little time so everyone feels comfortable.
-
All part of the big plan. China buys rice/rubber at inflated prices to grease the wheels and get the contracts. Various
officials will skim, skim, skim, as contracts for equipment, services, raw materials are awarded. Win-Win for everyone
except the people paying the inflated prices for the next 50 years.

Someone making sense. Now will the government listen?

I wonder if the victims of the thefts will have their money returned by the bank?
This would be the practise in England but I'm not sure how it works in Thailand... anybody know??
From what I read on TV it is almost impossible to get money back from a Thai bank account, unless you are very well
connected. (Police Captain) So the customer not the bank looses the money. However most foreign banks
return the money. This is I think why the Thai Banks get upset. Not sure what happens when the charges
are reconciled. Maybe the Thai banks loose money then from foreign card transactions. Still chump change
when compared to all the 150 baht ATM fees but it cuts into there profits.

Like lending money to family. As long as you see it as a gift and expect nothing back, no problem. If you think it
is an investment and need the money returned, big problem. Up to you on which side you fall.

Missionaries always seem to get themselves into these tough spots.

Looking forward to drinking lots of Chang and pissing in the snow.
All this so Thais can then learn the expression "Don't eat yellow snow"

free trade agreements are not intend to help the normal people...they are for rich only.
Need certificate, need registered company....
But if the package is undervalued and per normal post there is a good chance it slips thru....
Yes, that's what I'm thinking. Trouble is, most sellers (in their terms and conditions) state they won't undervalue packages
I have ordered items 3-4 times to Canada. The companies always undervalued the items without me asking.
Never had to pay taxes or duties.

Just wondering if the Governor is from Phuket or outside Phuket?

You have not lost a baht until you sell. So let it rot, never sell and just keep it on the books as an asset.
Most important ,if the shit hits the fan deny, deny, deny.

Insurance companies in the US do not have flood insurance. Much to many peoples surprise.
Many think they have coverage. When you ask an agent if you are covered for hurricanes, the
answer is yes. What you are not told is that is for wind damage. Since most hurricane damage
is water related most home owners are shocked to find after the fact they are not covered.
Insurance in available through a separate government program.

My Mother irons everything. Socks, underwear, jeans. If she washes it she irons it unless it specifically says
not to on the "care" tag. That is just the way it is. She is not Thai

The U turn areas should be eliminated here unless they are controlled by lights.
Bus and min van drivers are particularly bad drivers. They pull out in front of bike riders
knowing it is break hard or suffer the consequence. Just a little dent for them.

It is a well known fact that Thai ladies have a hollow leg that seems inversely proportional to there size.
It is absolutely shocking how much they can put away. You tell people back home but they don't truly
understand until they see it for themselves. Truly impressive.

She needs O and A negative type blood?
Must be interchangeable then?
No Thais have such blood?
Bloody hell...
O- is universal donor, A- must be her blood type. I think both are uncommon in Thailand

Why ship, carry it back with you. However several times I have mailed laptops, notebooks and smart phones. I used regular mail (no insurance)
in original packaging and have never had any trouble. Takes a little longer but a lot cheaper.

have been living over here for 8 years and never been asked for my drivers license !!!!
I have been here 3 months and have been stopped and asked 8 times. No trouble until one insisted my licence was not enough. I had to
produce my international drivers licence. Over the years on various trips I have been stopped well over 50 times. This was the
first time I was asked for an international licence to be produced. Since I had left it at my condo he said 600 baht. I said 200 cash
now, he said 500 I gave him 300 and just left.
Now my buddy in a drunken stupor walking 5 meters ahead of me at about 2 am was accosted by a he-she. With skill and deftness
she slipped his/her hand into my buddies pocket and removed his billfold containing 3000 baht and drivers license. I was laughing and as I
caught up to him asked if he still had his wallet. He was pissed, he-she was long gone. The police would see him coming on his rental
scooter and pull him over laughing at him every time. 300 baht fine each time. After being fined about 20 days in a row he started driving
around them and not stopping. I guess at that point they shrugged took pity on him and never gave chase. I have several expired licenses
I keep as backups. know one looks at the dates.

I really like a good rain storm, lightning, thunder. I quite enjoy enjoy the rain beating on the roof as I am hunkered down under the covers.
Next morning I woke up, drove in from Jomtien to Irish Rovers for a hearty breakfast as I do regularly, and then home. It was not till
I read Thai Visa and saw some pictures and read the reports that their was flooding and damage. Everything drains quickly and is back
functioning in no time. Quite impressive as far as I am concerned.

Like every government. Initial investigation, set up a committee to investigate, report back to the relevant persons, study the report,
form another committee to come up with a solution, report back to relevant persons, study report, form another committee to study
how to implement the solutions and the cost involved. Report back to relevant persons. Apply to government in Bangkok for funding
money for implementation of solution to problems. Wait........... If the government or any one in charge of looking into this problem changes,
start back at the beginning so it is someone you trust putting the study/solution together and you will get your share of thick brown envelopes.
