  1. I see a Russian family regularly in the Spa I go to. 3 daughters at international school is 1.5 million THB a year. So don't get the idea they are all bums on the run. These people are well to do ex pats. From St Petersburg if that means anything to you. The whole family speaks good English. The parents are patently well educated, professional people. Russians have been coming here for many years to escape their bitterly cold winters. It's a lot closer to home for them than it is for Europeans. So really it's a much more natural second home for them. The manageress of the spa is a young multi lingual Russian woman. Speaks Thai fluently, Chinese and Japanese. She's a lot of fun. Has a Thai boyfriend. That's all I have to say.
  2. Well the op said they were yer honour.
  3. But these are apparently Putin supporters. All 20 of them!
  4. So what if they're not all men aged under 30? They can still volunteer can't they? What's wrong with them? Don't they love the Fatherland? Or is it the Motherland? Or Uncle Jo Stalin's land? Or Uncle Tom Cobbley's an' All Land? Bah. Pathetic whimps. Send 'em up, I say. Putin supporters my axxx.
  5. Thailand, Texas, what's the difference? The whole world's gone mad!
  6. So why aren't they out there on the front line getting their nuts shot off?
  7. No, he tips you, with a .45 mm slug in the guts.
  8. 3 confused customers. Oh dear. I'll just have to try harder.
  9. Yes, I was wondering why is it only 200?
  10. He's still working online for his company in Russia. Ye gods, can't people read?
  11. "Russia's parliament has voted to raise the maximum age at which men can be conscripted to 30 from 27, increasing the number of young men liable for a year of compulsory military service.Jul 26, 2566 BE" From the Guardian.
  12. Read the whole article in the Guardian. It answers all your questions.
  13. So who's the Mr Sad hanging around this thread? Can't you put it into words?
  14. How can you possibly believe the July 2023 poll? Hun Sen's landslide victory ring a bell? Are you a Putin supporter? Why aren't you out there fighting?
  15. Well, I avoid buying CP brands, full stop. Not in 7, Lotus or Makro. I shop extensively in Makro, but almost all is fresh produce, veg, organic eggs, olive oil, balsamic vinegar etc etc. Very rarely in Lotus except when I need just one item, and only for water in 7. Ok, I got my rebranding mixed up, Family Mart v 7. Now we all know.
  16. I find the Lotus minimarts the best. Can't remember their name. Have fresh meat, veg, fruit, sugar free yoghurt etc etc.
  17. Same goes for visa issuing authority, if you have applied. They don't look at your entry eligibility. The airlines can refuse a boarding pass if you don't meet the destination country's arrival requirements. And you can be turned back by immigration even though you have a valid visa/entry permit.
  18. I guess not as I never shop in either of them. Just curious.
  19. How do you know that? None that I've met here do. All 5 of them!
  20. Maybe I'm mistaken. Soi 4 Pratamnak has 4 or 5 convenience stores. Soi 5 the same or more. Soi 6 also. I will check.
  21. Yes, Family Mart too. In Soi 4 Pratamnak a Family Mart and a 7 have become Tops. Maybe CP realised they had far more 7s than was economically viable. But why would Tops take over a 7 outlet that CP presumably considered unviable?
  22. I've noticed about every other 7/11 being converted to Tops. Are they independently owned/franchised? The produce is almost identical. Mostly rubbish in other words.
