  1. I seem to have struck avocado gold in the fruit market on Thepprasit, behind Mr DIY, near to Colloseum. A constant, reliable supply of excellent fruit. I virtually live on them as they are keto gold! About 90 THB per kg. I buy the purple/brown ones. I avoid the supermarket ones.
  2. I got a hep c vl test done there. Ok, had been a patient, but that was a long while back. The tests all get sent to a Bangkok lab I believe.
  3. Try Banglamung government hospital.
  4. Exactly. In the top right of their sign is the Thai plus the Thai transcript of "mansion". Sawatdee would have been far preferable.
  5. My least favourite publication, I have to say.
  6. I speak for myself, but as a person interested in Thai culture and language, I do GAFF. That's a flying flip, BTW!
  7. I remember, going back a few years, how สวัสดี would be transcribed as swasdee, as that's how it's spelt, but not how it's pronounced. But that's the beauty of the Thai language, and part of the fun of learning to read it. His name is, I guess, from Sanskrit/Pali, like most Thai names. And before people start on about crazy Thai this and crazy Thai that, consider, just for starters, Messrs Cholmondeley, Wemyss and Beauchamp!
  8. ปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ Poramet Ngampichet Why can't the editors of English language news outlets at least get his name right, or the transliteration thereof? Both the ศ in his given name and the ษ in his family name become 't', as per Thai language rules, as they are both final consonants of final syllables, and the ว is mute. Thank you.
