  1. I'm just across the water on Koh Mak. We're very low lying. It's not been great these last few days. I think more down to allergies. Dust maybe, or pollen?
  2. Great for cheese, butter, smoked mackerel and smoked salmon trimmings.
  3. My thoughts and at least one other's. I've been quoted around 50k at Bangkok Pattaya for one. Same at Jomtien. He's either talking about 10 years ago or making it up I'd suggest.
  4. Assault with a shirt? And what's that thing on a stick and the camera got to do with it? And the big guy seems to be doing alright. There is a picture of the knife elsewhere in the news. Why not here? Usual garbled allegations by TPN, allegedly.
  5. When and where?
  6. Rouge? You mean rogue naturally.
  7. "He (Asraf) was charged with providing shelter and assistance to illegal immigrants, allowing them to evade arrest." "Similarly, Abu was also charged with providing shelter and assistance to illegal immigrants." But the unfortunates were being shipped to Malaysia apparently, from Cambodia.
  8. A year long investigation headed by two of Thailand's most senior policemen resulted in the arrest af a Bangladeshi man. Oh, and later, another one. Is that it?
  9. More appalling drivel from the hyperbole riddled copy writers and sub editors. Really, where do they get this stuff? AI?
  10. They were an extremely nasty bunch of extreme royalists. Not surprising they've all been acquitted. Ironically in the same manner more or less as their arch enemy, Tony. The wheel turns... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/People's_Alliance_for_Democracy
  11. The last press release on the DNP site is dated 2020. The Facebook page doesn't exist. There is a group run by foreigners, Thai National Parks, with 384 members. So much for the NNT as a national news outlet. And it responds to the horrific factory explosion with the exciting news "Thailand has announced its intention to become the "BIO Hub of ASEAN" within 2027".
  12. Who tacked on the "...can take up political role" statement to the headline?
  13. Click bait. Complete rubbish. Nothing to do with Tony. Typical TNR nonsense.
  14. "Other charges filed against them, such as violation of the Emergency Decree, being the organisers of a protest, blocking roads in violation of the traffic law and violations of the cleanliness law, were dismissed by the court." At the time, the junta went to town on this one. And failed. They'd have been banged up for sure if they were still in power, as a threat to HM, democracy, peace, liberty etc etc. And not forgetting violating the cleanliness law. Hmm. Wonder which section of which statute that comes under?
  15. And he, plus his how many entourage, need to fly there, presumably business class at least, for a 5 day stay, to persuade rice buyers to buy more rice? At what cost? Thai rice represents a tiny fraction of exports to the US. Only $56 million out of a total of $45 billion. Get on board Srettha airlines. They're doing great!
  16. Is that supposed to be "You're a day late"? 4,886 government agencies? What on earth? They should name them. Chances are we're all on at least 10 of them
  17. Judge for yourself. https://www.ttrweekly.com/site/2024/01/tripadvisor-names-best-of-the-best/
  18. This is an application form for a retirement pension. What's it got to do with a retirement visa? I just wrote the same answer. People are strange!
  19. "More than three million baht has been transferred into the accounts of the alleged ring leader, “Tararat”, and other gang members and a substantial amount of it has been further transferred into the accounts of an online gambling network and used to buy properties, according to a cyber police officer. A background check on Tararat shows that she faces numerous fraud charges in Bangkok, Khon Kaen and Ubon Ratchathani." So K Tararat, though wanted in 3 provinces on fraud charges, was still able to set up and run a scam network and make off with 1.2 billion?
  20. Many ethnic groups in Thailand: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_groups_in_Thailand
  21. Amazingly, or not maybe, this was spun by one of the many deputy Pork Pie Party's PMs as a green light for the hand out. The CC was quick to refute this and to state it was nothing of the sort. Silk purse/sow's ear syndrome.
  22. Thanks for the tips on how to get a Vietnamese retirement visa. Answer is, there isn't one.
