Total ballocks since the Scots voted 'no' by a considerable margin.

Oh the irony!!
After all the posts here about the violent Thais and the not to be trusted Burmese, what an anticlimax if the culprit is a fellow Brit .
it's hardly irony

Trial by TV posters.
Such rumour-mongering.
It's medieval.

It's all rather perverse.
Perhaps a successful punishment is denying him what he wants.
If he wants to die, make him rot in gaol. On the other hand, if he wants to live, then hang him.
Either way he won't be happy so he is being punished.

We all know that a non-Thai of some description will be charged.

What a seamen stained dump to meet your final demise in. Bad luck and R.I.P fella
What is it that you have against our nautical friends?

Yep that is definitely a bloke dressed in womens underwear. He does even look the slightest bit like a woman no wonder the American told this ugly bloke to bugger off. The Thai guy probably said to the American, "Do you think I am pretty" and when he was told the truth, your a dog he got upset.
Always a pleasure to read illiterate and ill-informed speculation in the pages of ThaiVisa of a Monday morning.
Now come on ladies, put your handbags down. It's a bit early for swinging them.

Now that is one sweet story.
If only I'd had a relationship like that.

"Drug dealers must be eliminated from Thai society in what ever way possible. They don't love the country hence cannot be called Thai people."
The totalitarian message behind that statement, whereby everything is justified as a means to an end, really is scary stuff.

Isn't it interesting how so many posts tell us more about the state of mind of the poster rather than about the topic being dicussed?

Sticky rice or steamy rice, it's just sweaty old Thailand to me.

The problem with the argument of the critics here is that you're all basing your opinions on the processed snacks that CP sell at 7-11. CP offer many more higher quality offerings in other areas which would likely be what they are going to use in an operation like this. An example would be the quality meat that is sold for a premium in supermarkets like Tops, e.g. the Kurobuta Pork or various marinated chicken fillets. They are delicious. If you ever see one of the CP "butcher" shops around (there's one in Thonglor for instance) they also sell a large range of the same high quality meat.
It's not all frozen ready meal crap. They have fingers in many, many pies.
I can see this being very successful in Australia. Aussies LOVE Thai food and are huge consumers of quick and easy fast food. Usually when something like this other than boring burgers and fries comes out, it does well (e.g. Subway and Nando's have done very well in the last decade or so.)
'...They have fingers in many, many pies'.
Now that explains it.

Would be good to see the Phuket version of the tuk-tuks disappear completely.

Another one I like is along Sri Bumphen near the Malaysia Hotel....
Right now, I wouldn't come close to anything with a word Malaysia in it...
Good reason for avoiding your post?

So far, so good.

I get tired of the assumption that 'died of head injuries' means that the victim was not wearing a helmet.
Of course wearing a helmet is better than not wearing one. However any assumption that a helmet affords strong protection when a rider comes off at speed is a fallacy. It's better than nothing but not an automatic lifesaver. Sadly, plenty of riders have been killed wearing helmets.
None-the-less, it's a sad story. R.I.P.

Driving courses in Thailand.
Must be April 1st.

Cos it's Saturday, Thaivisa attracts the usual crowd of weekend surfers and their pretentious attitudes.

Thanks for the replies. And to those who so cavalierly assume I was just blindly listening to gossip from a friend check out my post again.
I was trying to verify what I had been told with a discrepancy in what my girlfriend had just observed this afternoon re early to work go-go dancers at Taipan. Her observation apparently undercut the accuracy and credibility of my ex-pat's bud's statement. So obviously I was already having doubts re what he had told me.
It would seem I was engaging "my head" unlike some people who didn't engage theirs enough to really see what was being asked in terms of my post. Next time try reading things from beginning to end.
Btw I did do a search before I posted but at the time I couldn't find any up to date news to help with my question so I turned to the forum in the hopes of finding some constructive clarification. And for those who gave it thank you..
Welcome to the asylum.

If you've got these then you are at the cutting edge of technology, though i hear that Philips have invented a smaller tape called a cassette. It'll never catch on.

Perhaps Thai Visa should shut down for a week and force us all to get a life.
I know I wrote 'Thai Visa' when it probably should have been 'Thaivisa'.
However please don't correct me. My PC can only take so much PC in one day.

Has he thought through the implications of paying police to come up with evidence against his family?
