  1. I've lost all my molars and only have top and bottom front teeth left, so as you can imagine this makes chewing difficult. I don't fancy normal dentures, apparently they have their limitations, difficult to chew meat etc, but have read about the Implant supported dentures. No idea of the cost in Pattaya, or who does them, so wondering if anyone has any experience with them.
  2. Three Thousand Years of Longing Haven't watched all of it yet, but what I've seen so far I've enjoyed. It's a fairy tale for adults basically. Available most places.
  3. Got bored halfway through first episode, seemed like a glorified soapie where nothing actually happens. Billions, it ain't.
  4. Emily The Criminal Really enjoyed this. Definitely one of the better offerings to be released recently. 7/10 IMDB. Available TG and probably elsewhere.
  5. When I was young I never had enough money to buy the things I wanted. Now I'm old I have the money, but no longer the desire to buy those things, so extra money would do nothing for me.
  6. Bought this house new in 2010 and it came with aluminium windows and sliding doors, that aren't what I'd call quality. They rattle around a bit and the locks are a joke. Thinking of replacing the lot, around 10 windows and 2 sliding doors, with good quality PVC. Any idea of what the cost might be?
  7. I got my reminder yesterday as well, but the actual reporting date isn't until the 25th, so it's a tad early.
  8. You can't open and inspect the item before you pay, so you're still stuck with trying to get a refund if the item isn't what you ordered.
  9. No, no walking stick, but the previous color test did present problems. The previous three times I had to do it I was lucky to have a falang next to me that whispered the colors. This time didn't have a problem.
  10. I don't think the previous color test, the one made up of small dots, was necessary. I would have failed that every time as I'm color blind, but passed with help from a bystander. With the new test even I can pass, as the three colors are large, red, yellow and green. Australia never had a color test and I don't recall doing one in the UK either.
  11. I was 68 when I got my first Thai licence.
  12. Well, the UK for one. If you really want to know Google it.
  13. I was replying to brianthainess about the brake used in the brake test. It was a joke.
  14. I used to enjoy it, but after 8 seasons it's getting kind of stale. Tried watching ep.1 of the new season, but gave it away after 10 minutes.
  15. I haven't driven at night for a long time. My night vision was never good, even when young. Might have something to do with being color blind.
  16. I think the peripheral test was dropped in Pattaya because of Covid, too many people handling the machine.
  17. At Pattaya the tester is the one to determine if you're fast enough, and he's pretty forgiving.
  18. Yeah, it seems to differ wherever you go.
  19. Where was that? There was no perception test in Pattaya when I did mine a couple of weeks ago.
  20. I guess the tester decides, but yet to see anyone fail.
  21. No depth perception test anymore, at least not in Pattaya.
