Why are Thais short-changed on new car warranties?
giddyup replied to giddyup's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Why would you not want a longer warranty? And if a car can sell for the same price, or cheaper in other countries with longer warranties, then obviously price is not a factor. Same for equipment levels. I think the manufacturer is just giving less because no one complains so they get away with it. -

My experience has been the opposite. When my Triton was still under warranty I never paid for anything other than oil change and filter (usually around 1000 baht), they never tried to push anything I didn't need. -

A Swift starts from $22,000 in Australia, same price as here, and gets a 5 year warranty. -

Many other brands get the same 7 year warranty, not just MG. -

But yet pay the same price, or generally more. -
A shower cools you very briefly, but then you start sweating again immediately.

It also seems that the Thais get shafted on equipment levels as well. It's not as though the prices are lower, therefore less specs, quite the opposite in fact. -

Not 100% sure but I would imagine you'd have to show required service records to qualify for a 7 year warranty, as you probably have to do to even get 4 years. -
Can't see any site where subs are available for this series.

Thanks for the heads up, had never heard about this movie, but really enjoyed it.

Thai efficiency at it's finest. Went to the Sony service centre today, woman receptionist couldn't tell me how much a new remote was, told my partner to contact Sony Bangkok on LINE re ordering a new one. Bangkok asked for photos of old remote, no idea why, had the exact model number inside the old remote. Sent the photos, haven't heard back yet. The woman at the Pattaya office had already taken photos, so not sure why she couldn't have contacted head office herself with the details and ordered a new one. She didn't exactly look rushed off her feet.

Yeah, it's a thing..

Just did a search and it shows one on Suk just near the new Jomtien hospital and near the Gecko shop.

I need a new remote for my Sony Android TV and can't find anywhere online to order. Lazada has knockoffs, but the one I bought didn't last a year and the voice function never worked, so prefer to buy an original if possible.

What do you call a permanent denture, implants? I have several teeth missing and also have trouble chewing, but go back the 21st next month to be fitted for a partial denture. Have no idea of the cost yet.
-
It's ok, found first episode on PB.
-
This involves having a couple of implants, top and bottom, that the denture snaps on to. Not sure if this is a procedure offered by dentists in Thailand.
-
Where is it available, I see only the first series?
-
Isn't this an old doco from 2015?
-
Watched it until the end, but must admit was pretty bored with it by then.
-
No doubt.

I had about 10 crowns done when I first arrived in Thailand and have since lost every one of those crowned teeth due to decay getting under the crown and not being aware until it was too late. If I could go back I would have had implants no matter the cost.

Thought this was a very good first episode, will definitely continue with it.
