  1. "for 10 years or more, she's been dreaming about censorship, banning Western media and Russia becoming like China by achieving total information control. Most of all, Simonyan doesn't want the idea of freedom to ever come back to Moscow." What she wishes is already there. Russia has consolidated media to where 90% of media companies are owned by 6 mega corporations. They are also allowing companies owned by a few of the wealthiest oligarchs in the world to decide whose voices can be heard on their social media platforms, so only 1 side is heard, even banning a former head of state. OOPS! My mistake - I got confused - all of that is the USA.
  2. You are notably consistent in your terror of reading anything not parroting USA Empire corporate media.
  3. Are you referring to Thailand only?
  4. "Definitely, lesson learned about making sure to check on the TM 30 before handing over money." Hopefully lesson also learned on paying more than a 1 month deposit.
  5. 5. With USA credit cards, one gets cashback. Depending on card, can also get Price Protection, Extended Warranty, Purchase Protection. A few cards still give Return Protection.
  6. "I told her I have more than one credit card, and I continually got asked 'why havent you spent all of it?' " Put a ring on it. She's a keeper.
  7. Only been to Vietnam. I've ruled out Cambodia - at least for now - as I don't want to be in a country with reportedly bad/dangerous medical care/hospitals. Vietnam is a nice place. One of the big negatives there is noise.
  8. "Twelve of the 25 most dangerous jobs as measured by the rate of people who die at work are in the construction industry, according to a recent report from business insurance analysis firm AdvisorSmith." https://www.constructiondive.com/news/report-nearly-half-of-americas-deadliest-jobs-are-in-construction/586801/ Is Thailand's construction industry safer than that of the USA's?
  9. Thanks for the 3 responses but it's left me confused. Do both of you agree with sometimewoodworker that the cord is perfectly usable here?
  10. "Earlier Phan Thong, Chonburi, police major Prasert Kulabutradee had been alerted about the death of a child at a well known private school in the area." Absolutely pathetic that the Press is afraid to name "the well known private school".
  11. I've read at least 1 post, I think 2 or 3, where Thai Customs did assess a used item at its value when new. Pretty sure it was phone(s) or computer(s).
  12. Did the 2 places mentioned here ever reopen - Sayuri Complex? "...the PingPayom Hotel 'Coffee Shop' at the end of Nimman." ? Any others to recommend?
  13. Did you test yourself after the 2 or 3 days?
  14. There are several Vitamin companies with "Nature" in the brand name. This is "Nature's Answer". They have a Supplement I'm interested in at a great price. But I've never heard of them before seeing it listed on iHerb. Cannot find anything pro or con on the net. Anybody have exerience with them? Good/Bad rating?
  15. Free 1 Months of Paramount+ (Previously CBS All Access) with promo Code BRAVO (Works For New & Previous Users) Came across this - haven't used it.

  17. I would've changed dentists long ago.
  18. What is the LAZmall refund policy and the standard Lazada refund policy?
  19. 1 of the most overrated - perhaps THE most overrated - film directors of all time. (After "The Killing" it was all downhill).
  20. I've read that the Sun landing was faked also, ?
  21. "Did not have anything from the brand I am buying that is fully stocked on iHerb and Lazada." Went back to Lazada just now, 1 of the 2 items I'm buying is no longer offered by anyone. Lazada does not compare to iHerb's stock.
  22. Yes, but I doubt I will check that site ever again (shopee.co.th). Vitamins/nutritional supplements don't seem to be their thing. Did not have anything from the brand I am buying that is fully stocked on iHerb and Lazada. Did not have the 2 fairly common items from any brand. Then I checked for Vitamin C out of curiosity, they had 5 or 7 choices including a Korean company and only 1 that I'd had heard of before. Not worth bothering with.
