  1. Ah, the things one does when pissed, on holiday and via encouragement of a "new girlfriend" ???? But seriously, yea too bad about the swastika. The thing is many young Thais have no idea what these symbols mean. I've seen all kinds of things that would be completely frowned on in the west. Seen "KKK" (inappropriate in some states in the US) Also Westerners. How about all the stories of young westerners getting "cool looking" Chinese characters tattooed only to find out later in translation it means "I like it up the ..." Or simply. "Take out noodles 50 pence" Come on board members, there has got to be more than a few that thought .. hey that Thai writing is "cool"!! I'll get some on my forearm and later were very disappointed to find out what the translation is.
  2. Jazz Pit Sun Sabella. Full band Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (after noon Jam session)
  3. Thank you Cheryl, I see at Bumrungrad it was advertised starting around March 2021
  4. Did you go ahead and have the procedure? Would be curious as to the results and your experience also. Thank you kindly.
  5. What were you trying to accomplish by getting this procedure? The procedure is ONLY for urinary problems associated with enlarged prostate as far as I have researched. If it was recommended to you for sexual problems.. than that seems very odd. I would want to know who/where you were told that REZUM would take care of sexual performance problems. if that was indeed the case.
  6. Did you have Thai health insurance for expats? Curious as I am pretty sure that with my history of the problem in USA I would not be eligible for insurance coverage for the treatment. I certainly am hoping Rezum may be the way to go.. minimally invasive as opposed to TURP
  7. Hi Sheryl, do you happen to know if Aquablation is available in Thailand? Curious as to why Urolift is not. When you see how simple a treatment is I am surprised at least Bumrungrad hasn't made it available.
  8. If one hasn't experienced interrupted sleep yet they might say that. Lack of sleep, sleep deprivation can be very dangerous to health especially for aged people. Uninterrupted sleep is very important in ones health. Especially in old age. Many problems stem from lack of sleep. Lately heart problems have been shown to develop from lack of sleep. Beware.
  9. Thank you for this detailed answer! I'll take this out of this thread and if you don't mind perhaps later contact you DM. regards.
  10. Any side effects? I understand ED and retrograde ejaculation are fairly common with prostatectomy . Hopefully side effects were minimal for your case.
  11. Thank you, I appreciate the details. Just want to confirm. You had a Rezum treatment NOT TURP correct? Rezum steam therapy? Sorry that you are experiencing the slight incontinence. Seems TURP has similar and even worse possible side including ED. Hopefully the therapy you had will resolve all the problems. I am also experiencing nocturia and had been for quite a number of years but not it's getting to be a real problem. 4 times a night etc. No caffeine or alcohol also.
  12. I sure wish some of the old farang codgers would wear full face helmets.. It certainly would help beautify the streets of Thailand ????
  13. I see that Rezum steam therapy for BPH is available at BRG. Anybody have it done? If so would be very interested to know how it went, effectiveness etc. thank you kindly
  14. Anyone know if this is available in Thailand? It certainly looks to be a much better alternative for a number of BPH cases (including mine)
  15. How exactly was it determined you had prostatitis? What tests were done? I have a similar situation as you did where I have frequent urination. I've been told that my prostate is somewhat enlarged but the Tamsulosin doesn't seem to effect things much at all. I'm on Finisteride now and waiting to see if anything improves. I'm 60 now and have been dealing with the frequent urination for about 12 years already. I'm wondering if prostatitis has been overlooked by my urologist. I don't see how it could be.. but now I'm a bit concerned after reading your post.
  16. Very dubious! What is this western gov propaganda? I am not a Fox news fan but CNN has gotten pretty crazy lately. Better off looking for actual journalism from outside of the USA.
  17. Have you ever invested in property before? There are some easy calculations to run which will give you an idea if the "investment" will yield a decent return. There are other considerations. What do you expect to get in rent per month? Do you want to airbnb it? I have a feeling in a higher end house/villa like that there will be way fewer tentants willing to pay high prices. You might be better off buying 5 to 8 smaller condos and renting them out if you are interested in earning money on your money... but that comes with it's own set of challenges.. like dealing with a Thai property managment company. If you are getting below 5% annual return (or yield as some call it) then you are better off leave the money in a high yield savings account these days. If you are hoping for the property to increase in value I have seen over the years that Thailand may not necessarily follow the realestate growth of western countries. For instance in the last 10 years I think condo prices have remained flat in areas like Pattaya.
  18. It must be Songkran time. The top story. A big you tube star has a girlfriend and they are both rich! Yippee! ... meanwhile in The Ukraine ???? Side note: Having 13.1 Million followers on Youtube is NOT a trivial thing. That is huge and the revenue his channel generates could easily be 150K USD a month.
  19. Anyone curious about how the 12 step program of AA works might find this article interesting. It is a brief to the point article explaining how the program of AA works. (it does not describe the fellowship of AA and it's meetings) https://neweraspiritual.blogspot.com/2014/02/alcoholics-anonymous-explained.html Very brief explanation: 1) People with alcoholism as described in the Alcoholics Anonymous book lack the willpower or self-discipline to quit entirely even though they honestly want to. 2) AA discovered (through help from the great Dr. Carl Jung) that if an alcoholic could achieve a spiritual awakening that brings about a complete physic change an alcoholic could recover from alcoholism and achieve permanent abstinence. 3) Back in the 1930's AA founders discovered a method to bring about a spiritual awakening which they published in the book "Alcoholics Anonymous". This method contains 12 instructions commonly referred to as the 12 steps. The program of AA is the 12 steps as found in the book "Alcoholics Anonymous". For further information please visit https://aa.org Hoping to help anyone who wants help with a drinking problem.
  20. You know that labeling people "Nazis" who have found the true program of AA as it is outlined in the Big Book and 12 and 12 is not doing any service to the society of Alcoholics Anonymous IMHO. I would kindly ask that if anybody here is a member of AA that they do not "sling mud" at one another and stoop to name calling. The reason? There maybe some alcoholics looking for help here who may immediately get the wrong idea about AA. We are here to help each other and not tear each other down. I have made this mistake and vow to stop it. Further more advertising fringe opinion framed as "interpretation" about the program of AA is also quite likely doing disservice to AA as a whole and I'm quite sure goes against several traditions. If anybody is looking for help with a drinking problem IMHO they should be given the opportunity to know the true program as it is outlined in our basic texts FIRST rather than fringe opinion or "alternate" ways to do the program as there introduction to AA. I admit I have crossed the line and vow to not do it ever again on this forum. I vow to make every effort to represent AA in the best possible light from my experience as a 30 year recovered alcoholic member of AA. The message of AA I carry is not my own interpretation or reality. It is as written in our basic texts Alcoholics Anonymous (First 164 pages) and the step essays in Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions Book. From now on I'll be posting links to my AA discussion blog that I've been posting to for about 13 years in an effort to offer the true program of AA as outlined in our texts. I will refrain from discord, argument, name calling or the like. It is bad for me spiritually and quite frankly will erode my spiritual condition. Negativity, judging others, arrogance, presumption are the kinds of behaviors that are opposite God's will for me. I owe the last 30 years of my life to the 12 step program outlined in the Big Book. From the AA.org website: Alcoholics Anonymous, also known as the “Big Book,” presents the A.A. program for recovery from alcoholism. First published in 1939, its purpose was to show other alcoholics how the first 100 people of A.A. got sober. Now translated into over 70 languages, it is still considered A.A.’s basic text.
  21. Your reply is hyperbolic. You call me rigid because most of your opinion is not backed up by AA basic texts. In fact the one who has been and is being rigid is you. You insist that AA bend to you prejudice towards a Higher Power instead of just being open minded that most people in AA are actually experiencing a real connection with a Power Greater then themselves. Do you think we are all delusional? That my friend is rigid!! I have also said repeatedly that of course AA is all inclusive. THE FELLOWSHIP is all inclusive. I have sponsored many men who had a problem with the word God or who were agnostic or atheist. I simply helped them do step two by telling them my experience. That they do not have to believe in any kind of God to do step 2. They just simply need to become willing to believe that all the people in AA are not lying when they say they've tapped into a Power Greater than themselves by doing the work steps 4-9 . By the way. Exactly who is projecting their particular brand of AA on who? You have been posting weekly "topics" about YOUR brand of AA which you claim is an "agnostic" brand. You are ALSO TRYING TO SELL BOOKS! How spiritual is that? Asking people to pay for your "elevated" interpretation of AA. AA is fine that way it is. AA does not need new versions of the program disguised as "interpretations". There is no agnostic AA (your brand of AA). There is only AA. Re-read step two in the 12 and 12. It was written 15 years after the Big Book. Just as in "The Chapter to the Agnostic" of the Big Book step two in the 12 and 12 still talks about how members who were once agnostic or atheist came to believe in a Power Greater than themselves through just simply being open minded and even willing to believe a Power Greater could restore them to sanity. One pamphlet does not change the whole program of AA. I believe you would like to think it does but this is only your opinion.
  22. I really hope this happens. These poor sex workers have no rights right now and many are just kicked around by so called employers, police and hospitals etc. Just a shame.
  23. I see this too, there must be some recycling centers somewhere paying cash for bottles. That's a very good thing and more than likely doing some real good for the environment. God knows that Pattaya beaches are littered with plastic. Really bad at times.
  24. If she lives up to her reputation she might never be invited back.. well unless the tea money is Yai Yai Yai. Ter chob ngyeun yai mak mak
