Trump picks J.D. Vance as running mate for VP at Republican convention
theblether replied to webfact's topic in World News
From nowhere he could be a heartbeat away from the Presidency depending on November's result. No serious politician would reject that invitation from a seventy-seven year old man. -
Answer the questions you are asked. If you are asked about a history of cancer in your family, answer truthfully. The worst case of "pre-existing" fraud I know about was an insurance agent pal asked to write a life insurance policy for a younger man with a family. He couldn't get face-to-face with the guy. It turned out the guy had terminal cancer and the family were attempting a Hail Mary fraud. In Thailand, the worst medical fraud was a foreigner claiming no previous ailments. The day after the policy was accepted he showed up at the hospital ( immediate red flag ) and tested positive for HIV. His problem.was, Red Cross BKK had already tested him positive and it was the same doctor at the hospital who had advised him of his condition at RC. Damned unlucky or damned stupid? It's the second one. Insurance companies have seen it all before. So just answer the questions you are asked truthfully.

Trump rushed off stage after possible assassination attempt
theblether replied to DPat's topic in World News
Both echo chambers are equally poisonous. However, shooting nominees in the head tends to upset the centrists. It's not really a good election strategy. -
Okay I'm Scottish and I'm going to tell you Americans what's really happening here. 1. Democrats know Biden is a basketcase but don't care, just as they didn't care in 2020. The first comment about Bidens mental state was by Obama around 2015. People read it as grief for his laddie. It was Obama pointing out - and Dems know this - that Biden wasn't fit for the Presidency. 2. Hunter Biden's tax evasion trial starts September 5th. He is guilty. The prosecution has 30 witnesses lined up against him. 3. MR BIG GUY, 10% FOR THE BIG GUY - etc are going to be beaten to death during the trial. 4. The FBI has already stated the laptop is real. Unfortunately for the Biden family, the people who received the è-mails are cooperating with the prosecution . 5. The guilty verdict will be rendered around October 1. 6. Many states have laws that nominees cannot be replaced on.the ballot after X date. 7. So the answer was to chp Biden at the knees with an early debate. 8. Trump should not have agreed. He may have won a Pyrrhic victory. Biden out, but a new and more brutal enemy emerges. 9. But it's all about Hunters trial. Prove me wrong.

This is what happens when rule of law countries import rule of chaos immigrants. It's not racism, it's cultural. East Asians, Indians etc in the UK have low crime rates and a high work ethic. Syria, Somalia, Afghanistan,Pakistan ( both failed states) and many others are chaos states. Everyone pays the price when the chaos actors run riot, especially the hard working immigrants. Google.what happened in Austria when it admitted young Afghans. And this very day I'm in Sweden. Another failed social experiment. Chaos is the point. Remember that when you see these stories.

I wish I could post photos of my social circle, but I wouldn't invade their privacy, male or female. I recognise the people you are talking about as that's who I live among in my hamlet, which is close to the village. I'll wander outside and see cows tied and grazing in my garden. The locals use my fishing pond but everyone knows my Koi Carp pond which also has decent size Tilapia is out of bounds. I love my Koi Carp. The farmers and locals take the fruit from my trees, and sometimes drop off spare eggs. I drink with these guys at the local Lao Tung which wraps up at 7.30pm because these guys are back at work before daybreak. The village market kicks off at 3am, finishes before 9. I'm always fascinated and impressed by how busy the place is first thing in the morning, a real hub of capitalist activity. And, as you say, husbands and wives are dependent on each other, it's great to see how many share responsibilities for running their microbusinesses. In my case I make an annual donation to the impoverished elderly. The last time I distributed 100 food parcels, arranged via the village heads in the area. I'll do the same again this year. While it's a fact that not everyone likes farangs in the village, there is a large welcome mat for those who want to get involved in the community. Put the effort in, as you know, you will be rewarded.

To live in a Thai village? Or to exist in a Thai village. I know a guy who has lived in my village for sixteen years and he emerges from his house once every two weeks. No language skills, no community involvement, no clue. The truth of the matter is that I don't have a problem with that, if he's happy being a hermit that's up to him. And it would be surprising to many how many farang hermits live in Thailand. And, yes, the work ethic can be astounding. Rough, hard, brutal work in the heat. The one thing that beats me is the number of farangs that don't understand the level of competition for good village girls is through the roof. You rarely see the prettiest girl in the village in Pattaya as she has been snapped up by the landowners son - assuming she isn't a total headcase. And the headcases are rejected. One of the prettiest girls in my village is a category one wild child. Lao Kao gangbangs, including taking on four guys in a pond, and jailed three times for yabba possession. If she walked into a Pattaya bar guys would line up for her, but she's a lunatic. Every Thai guy in the village knows she's a lunatic, and if the barstool farangs had any Thai males pals they would know too. But hey, ho - that's who they date and marry. Som nam na.

Have you ever noticed how women pride themselves on being excellent judges of character? Your average women regards herself as being born with this superpower. It's a load of cr*p. What they are good at is fast judgement, a woman will assess you in thirty seconds. That's another "superpower." The problem is, what they are assessing has nothing to do with character. If they were anywhere near as good at judging character as they think they are the divorce rate would be zero and they would be leading fabulous lives. Bday Prang is now going to educate us as to why Thai women know Thai women better than Thai men. Bookmark this thread and come back later for a good laugh.

Drivel. Anyway, the DoJ apparently doesn't have the power to appoint a Special Counsel. Congress allowed the Ethics in Government Act to lapse in 1999. I wonder why? Was the 1999 Congress a bit p*ssed about the Kenneth Starr imbroglio? Starr's investigation of Clinton descended into a persecution. No sane Democrat can argue that. Mueller's investigation of Trump was rendered farcical. Hurs investigation of Biden has been a cluster***k and Smith's persecution of Trump beyond a joke. There needs to be a bipartisan law passed by Congress as Republican and Democrat Presidents are being harassed by activist prosecutors. At the very least, if the DoJ nominates a Special Prosecutor, he or she should be subjected to Congressional approval. This constant undermining of Presidents has to end, and I personally feel the persecution of Clinton was an utter disgrace with dire, dire consequences.

If you ever want to know the nature of an American, watch their reaction to Chevron. True Americans believe in the rule of law. Witless Americans believe that "experts" can make things up and be allowed to drive you into bankruptcy or jail - while being unable to show what law you have broken. I'm serious - it's and brutal and clear as that. The fault lies with Congress. They need to quit grandstanding and review dozens of laws which are of genuine importance to the country's wellbeing.

The vast majority of SCOTUS decisions are 9 - 0. The majority of the rest of the decisions are bipartisan. You are being fooled into believing the current court is right-wing when evidence shows otherwise. The real disgrace is the number of cases that are 9 - 0 which is a direct reflection of dysfunctional lower courts allowing stupid cases to progress. But you never thought of that, did you?
-
You can't reason with sociopaths. We parents have all had heart-stopping moments with our kids. I personally know two men who heard the thud when cars killed their kids. Both never recovered, both haunted forever. And here we have this guy making a thread about a tragic accident all about him. Give it a rest.

The Jan 6 imbroglio looks dead in the water. Presidents are allowed to discuss certification with their VP as its an official act. However, the VP has sole responsibility as President of the Senate. SCOTUS ruled that lower courts can't guess motivations for official conversations. This is a cluster****. Never mind Trump, every President is now at risk of mendacious litigation after leaving office. Banana Republic comes to mind.

In short - Immune = official acts. Not immune - unofficial acts. Devil in the detail? Endless arguments about what constitutes an official act. After the Chevron decision last week, Congress is going to have to seriously get its act together as there more holes in administrative US law than Swiss cheese.
