  1. "Don't those idiots have really no idea..."

Don't some idiots realise that you're a foreigner here and you have to comply with Thailand's rules? Who cares after what period your passport expires.

And it is forbidden to point out that those rules make no sense and are ridiculous ?

Have to comply?..... where are you coming from? We live and most educated Thais work and interact rationally. Its the ones who play "position" or "musical chairs" in their jobs that arent at all in the position to show those rules! And Thailand wants to be a important partner in ASEAN......Thai rules???? eh emm huh ..... dah!!!!

  2. My salary gets paid into Kasikorn & I only have a bank book account. They won't let me use the internet application because I refuse to have an ATM/visa card with them! I can only use the online banking through the webmail. I don't get this at all. I have my reasons for not having a card, which I won't go into again.

I use Bangkok Bank for my daily account & internet banking as I find their service far better.

Yes, I agree with Bangkok Bank I have good service. there are the few odd thai logics, that cannot rationally be explained "TT" - Thats Thai. accept dont question.... the equation never qualifys itself. but on the whole the process is transparent. Another bank that I find good and would recommend is KrungThai Bank. They also provide online services and are efficient compared to some of the other banks. that probably need to be schooled in their own software, position and system proceedures. after all they are the ones who should be providing a service with solutions... not adding to the complexity of it. Or is this something Thai..... if do not understand then make it complicated and unattainable?

  3. How much input will they be allowed?

If just observing then they might as well stayed at home.

As for setting up a police station well that horse as truly bolted but I suppose anything is better than the current set up.

Still the RTP reckon they have the guys and the DNA so innocent until proven guilty but if they are then throw the full weight of the courts at them

Here is a sentence from a National News Bureau of Thailand article dated October 23rd. “Regional Public Prosecution 8 deputy director-general Thawatchai Siangjaew said that “Thai police will be able to answer every doubt raised but no outside authorities can send their people to work on this case as Thai laws do not permit such a scenario”.

What a scam, it's theater, a show for the public, the Brits will not be allowed to work on the case.

Too many flaws even at public eye.! My hope that those with the expertise would have the freedom to piece this all. The loop holes of those allowed to leave the island, Those that the police have not taken DNA from... These should be looked into. Its a shame that the Police force is now thinking of setting up station. Why not before?

all the rackets involved, all the dont loose face policy holders on the island who wish to remain ghosts in this inquiry. I hope these are all exposed and the case be given top priority in justice. It has nothing to do with being Thai. It has a lot to do being a honest Human being and willing to face the facts that count.

  4. Tell him I need a loan.

Interesting....why does not the police force or the law catch up with him. Since he is on the wanted list? Everyone knows where he is..... even the police, wow.... big rat on the run - the phatom rides again. I thought the previous govt was making plans to put him in Alcatraz!!!! Well..... we know where all those plans ended. He could use his Eastern European Passport to go to the Ukraine!!!!

  5. I hope all concerned in setting these two guys up are happy with themselves. I am sure they are at the temple giving merit as we speak. Karma will see through you and come back and hit you hard, you are as evil as the real purpotators of this hideous, violent crime.

Well said. if this is a frame up.... I hope that justice will avenge! Its not about a country trying to keep face..... its about the cowardly nature that is often heavily supported by its fellow citizens. If there is tampering in the evidence, or negligence which in my opinion is very much possible, seeing how they have treated cases before. MONEY and POSITION TALKS LOUD....but dont worry.... your conscience will catch up in your old age and you will have the privilage to live injustice that you have dished out.

  6. Hmm Interesting!!!!

168 hours in a week divide that by 3 =56 hours. that spreads over a week / 8 hours for sleeping, 8hours for working 8hours for personal (Grooming, Reading, movies, etc) If the statistics show .35mins reading per day. I mean reading a book or Newspaper, not the cartoons or text messages on a phone. They would be conscious of the world around them. which is roughly / 4 hours a week, which is rougly 16 hours a month. That is not a record! So no pat on the shoulder, rather a warning to educationist that what you are teaching is not sinking in or habits of playing with the phone on text messages is stunting ones growth in vocabulary and makes the socially unable to integrate!

Sorry to dampen the hype.... but some attention should be made on the educational level.

  7. OH THANK YOU FOR THE TIP / SENIOR OFFICIAL /

My first thought in your position should be to expose that or those Government official (Sad to say though your tip might not be cash rewarded or a promotion) thats the duty of every honest citizen to stop such fowl business. Well. I hope that the Military would hear or see your report. Good luck and well done!

  8. Jatuporn assured the gathering and funeral rites would be non-political and we all know what a fine, truthful and upstanding pillar of society he is.

Does anyone really believe with so many reds and PTP together there will not be whispering about forbidden topics ?

Mind you it's probably the lesser of two evils considering what might have happened has the govt said no reception committee and no funeral rites .

In times like this... silence is gold!

Reflect and learn - THird party mourning!

Remember and grieve - First and second party Mourning

    Rememberance - Family and Friends.

TRUTH LIES IN THE FUTURE.... NEVER HAS IT DIED AND NEVER WAS IT BURIED

  9. Police should stick to formal proceedures at a scene of murder. They are no longer .... the almightys on Earth! Consultant, moneycollector, Medic and simultaneous law makers....thats was in the Thaksin and Noluck era.... Now the military has begun to redefine and reform... by the way they are doing a good job in my opinion. I feel safe to walk and even approach authority with the right without the fear of being abused or treated as stupid...

Why did they not have all the forensics from BKK take over this case in the first place.... they tampered with evidence (I assume) DONT TOUCH is the rule, Photograph and block off the area till its documented and all evidence has been collected.

My gut feeling and from what has been released to the media - and the way the case has been handled with the media.... They went for the work camp.!!!!! What about all the others on the Island... Including their own personnel? Where were they`? How many were on the beat? Were they not supposed to provide safety? How many are on the force for that day? what were their reports to base of the area?

I have no doubt that this Govt is interested in cleaning out the mess and getting on top of it. What I am afraid is that some mindless individual or group still think they can hoodwink people, let alone the International community! First we will not forget. Secondly this will always be on their conscience....Perhaps it seared.... God forgive them!

  10. Christ could Mark Kent be any more of a spineless coward? His blog post and rhetoric up to know sounds exactly like all the Thai authorities telling us not to 'abuse' social media, or basically 'please shut up and stop spreading information we cant control' we wouldnt even be here right now with the Thai authorities in a panic if it wasnt for the pressure that has some from very solid evidence being shared by people!

As for the graphic images being spread around they were released by the Thai authorities!! Oh buy you dont criticize them do you Mr Kent?

How come the PM of Myanmar a country with one of the WORST humans rights records in the world can make a statement to help 2 of his citizens but neither the UK PM nor even the sodding ambassador to the nation can say anything when 2 Brits are killed!

Oh and did anyone see that he did a talk at Thammasat Uni just a week ago about the responsibility of using social media etc, this is right around the time when everything had been picking up traction on CSI LA etc, how very convenient....

    https://twitter.com/KentBKK/status/517907219380064256

Definition of stupid: Knowing the truth, seeing the truth and still believing the lies (Tony Blair??)

  11. Every teacher I know teaches "privates". Don't draw attention to yourself (e.g. advertise) and don't piss off any parents and you should be able to stay under the radar.

The OP will inevitably 'pi $$ off parents', real or perceived, and he'll be retired in Cambodia. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

LTDS - all this fuss about work permits for a good gesture from a fellow human being and being penalised!!!!

It tells a lot about the system and their attitude to non Thais - you have the right to remain (in the country) and the right to shut up. So put your rational charity contribution to the next generation.... - LET them die Stupid!!!! educated under the umbrella...sssssssssh dont ask questions simply follow! yeah if you are here to retire...forget about hobbies and rational integration into a society.... stay silent stay at home and simply follow for those on the drink... fill up your fridge and those with skills forget your sill imaginative efforts to help people. This country does not promote that... they want you to sponsor someone to do nothing for the cause and get paid.

  12. <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

How about enforcing the laws that are already there and teach everyone to respect the rule of law. This should include those who are expected to enforce same said laws.

yes why isnt the Police deployed in these areas? What about the CCTV - who is monotoring this. Is this only to see proof after death or is it to be preventive measures on crime? From Reports where the police is quoted taking bribes. These guys should be tagged in the first place because to find their where abouts is more important in bringing law and order to the country.

Minister of Tourism and Sport - says it all... Tourism is treated as sport!!! in Thailand. Take a consensus over the last 3 years of people who have fallen off balconys, knifed in the streets or murdered. The statistics have been held back.... why

  13. Seriously, for a minister to come up with such an action, even think of it.... shows ignorance.. What next... with all the people falling from balconys... would the condominiums be required to have a safety net? Or would it be cheaper and an added income to the country if police escorts could be made available to people taking a tour or police maids.

I seriously ask why they do not tag some of the politicians? because they are the ones escaping the law into neighboring countries and gaining refugee status and passports to travel internationally free....Does she really think this is going to help in the case of the poor ones murdered... it is easy to cut off their arm or their leg and free them of these Dog tags... who is going to monitor this 24/7? Who is going to determine which places a person is allowed to go. This is not going to attract people coming to Thailand to get dog tagged!

    Amazing Thailand!!! Whats next?

  14. "Tourism and Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul said she had approached hotels over the idea of handing out wristbands to help identify tourists that get lost or into trouble."

Or make them stand out even more as a target as well as letting assailants know where they are staying and their passport details.

    Absolute genius.

What next.... safety nets around condominims with floors higer than 3 storeys! or regulated tourist sites and hotels for tourists?

Safety is not putting people on a grid. Its making the existing system work - like the police force, security and keep a good tab and tag on thugs in the area. Funny that with the deaths, the police immediately.. took DNA of a work camp close by...while other suspects were left to leave the area - Tourist, local top dogs and the rest. Work proceedures and promote honesty. If Dog tagging, which is used in Europe only for prisoners are going to be issued in Thailand.... THEN I AM OUT OF here.... BIG BROTHER... Shame they could not get the top guys like Mr T on this programme... still on the run in Cambodia and the neighboring countries! Tourist come to a country to enjoy it beauty and simplicity. Mrs Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul should consider taking action with the local police. - Hire a policeman or police maid to escort tourist! just a thought might save money on the electronic gadgets and humiliation and increase income in the region.

  15. A bit late but still seized the opportunity to get his picture in the newspaper.... nobody here knows it's <deleted> ;-)

Pathetic.....if ever Thailand is invaded......they will only know 11 days later.....

Perhaps this is also one reason why they cannot catch Thaksin who comes and goes in the region, celebrates his birthdays with officials...... Nobody reminds them that he should be arrested..... Pathetic!!!! Thailand

  16. I'm sure if Farangs were in charge the rains would stop.....blink.png

Cos in Farang countries we never have flooding do we, cos we Farangs know better, yeah right...

Yeah in farang countries they plan and if they do not know they ask people who are qualified! Why does not Thailand ask the Dutch to help because they know what they are doing! How many years of trial and error are you planning for? Please continue in your line of thought and make Thailand a mass paddy field of human error.

  17. Is this a new low? beating a 66 year old with a stick?

    He shouldn't be bailed, ridiculous.

Thailand is known for its dodgy stories with jet skies.... I warn all tourist and friends and make it my conversation that it's a racket in Thailand where both the rouges and police benefit. Why does not the tourist department do anything? Why does not the police setup a booth to check boats ? Aren't these boats covered with insurances? The why is silent because they all profit from it. Wait till the Chinese and the Russians bash their heads! Stupid rogues!!!

  18. Only just started raining here in Khon Kaen. been the driest rainy season I can remember... mind you been raining everywhere else up this way.

Ah ha.... So the prime minister y luck was addressing you guys! Makes sense khon Kane looking Bangkok thinking!

  19. Besides students' weak grades, perhaps we have to spend more time on the teachers and better teaching methods. After all, this is an issue of accountability. This means that test results should be used as a measure of teacher performance. Individuals should not look at this profession as a free ride.

Stopping the "no fail" policy, and making students work for their grades might be a good start too. And stop blaming the Teachers for everything, make the students/parents responsible also.

Thailand... Education is not just giving away badges and medals, that do not mean a thing in the world! Education is teaching children to question, and giving them the tools to analyze their responses. Teaching children to be quiet and not question the teacher is the biggest mistake they make! Integrate with education systems in the world to help students understand their world! Teaching them to copy, imitate and follow instructions cease when the student first learns to articulate his own thinking!

  20. Yes some provinces are under water with more to come but there is no problem and there will not be and that's official, YL says so.

Wasn't it the Prime Minister who said do not worry about floods? What map was she looking at? Map of china or map of Thailand
