n response to complaints about TM30 from those in attendance at the event, Pol Col. Thatchapong Sarawannangkul said that filing a TM30 was “really not that hard”.
This is possibly because he does not have to comply with this requirement if he did I'm sure his response would be completely different.

It is a shame this money was not put towards improving safety standards prior to this calamity..

the event was planned to be held on Army property Huey Tung Dtou .. is part of their vast land holdings so I suppose they can cancel.
Even so the military should inform the government of their intentions and the government make such public announcements

Tell me do all these tourists have the health insurance that was such a requirement not so long ago...??

Always thought is was "Reserved to taxi & bahtbus"... ,
at least in Pattaya.
It appears to be this way especially at the corner of beach road & walking street, it was stopped for a short while but like everything else not for long.

What the Thai government or police force does not understand is in Japan & European countries the penalties are penalties and are issued as a deterrent. the above penalties as broken down by many people above are a joke and will not be any sort of deterrent so a complete waste of time.

It is not rocket science, one of the main problems in Thailand is complacency, Thais know they are able to get away with driving or acting how they want and the police unfortunately to a large degree allow them to do just that.
Offenders need to know and realise there is a credible risk of being caught committing any act that is against the law, and that there will be serious consequences for being caught.

“I can’t believe that any rational person in Carrie Lam’s position would actually argue the case against a commission of inquiry,” he said.
“What’s clearly needed is a process of reconciliation. It’s the only way I think you’ll put a cap on this and get back to peace and stability in Hong Kong.”
And Carrie knows herself that the people don't want he so why keep banging her head against the wall, swallow your pride Carrie and go....

Hong Kong Chief Exectuve Carrie Lam warned that Hong Kong risked being "smashed to pieces".
If she really cares she should step down..... this would relieve some of the tensions

They should stop the government buying toys for the military and the rich Thais spending abroad, and reduce the value of the baht so exports can recover enabling the man in the street to make more money through additional tourism, as this is the only way to open up Thailand once again.

His about-turn on the ministry's policy was because the operators would have to import microbuses from other countries at high prices, he said, adding that this could backfire on Thai commuters as the operators would have to increase fares to compensate for the higher vehicle cost.
This is absolute BS, with the strength of the baht there will never be a better time to purchase from abroad so what is he talking about..? One of the main problems with the minibuses is the speed they are capable of travelling at which in turn results in most of the minibus drivers driving like lunatics on steroids, therefore a larger slower coach which should be governed down so the maximum top speed is within the maximum allowed for a vehicle of this type by law, and you would see a dramatic reduction in accidents involving buses of this type.

Please stop blaming the conflict between the USA & China for your current woes on the export market when you all know the problem lies with the strength on the Thai Baht. Everyone knows the current government want the baht strong in order to purchase more armaments but just for a change put the people first.....!!!
