Unfortunately there is a total disregard for safety here in Thailand, on Third road there are substantial road works being carried out but unfortunately there are minimal barriers around most on the actual holes but no lights at most so if one is blinded by oncoming traffic (people here don't appear to care if others can see or not) it could be easy to crash into the roadworks. Additionally on Jomtien beach road there are barriers around a large section of the road which is at a junction but once again no lights also the road lights are not working therefore if someone who is not familiar with the roadworks could find themselves in trouble, as we all know Thai roads are dangerous at the best of times we don't need these added death traps.

What does displacement have to do with it?
When the current laws were made the only legal larger motorcycles were 150cc hence bikes were, and I believe still are forbidden on the highways

Police are waiting for a doctor's update on the suspect's condition to determine when they could bring him to apply for the court's detention order.
Or put another way, how big the brown envelope is so he can make a miraculous escape...!!!

Come out of dilemma. I seen many Indians living there, during my trip to London and Swindon. Do not get me started with Indian restaurants in London. Been to many Indian restaurants, seen more white people dining than Indians.
You appear to have lost the plot, I am not in any form of dilemma as I know exactly where I am and what I like you on the other hand appear to have drifted off course

Quick Question: How many of you professional cry babies pay taxes and contribute to the medical and infrastructure system to Thailand? You folks are so happy to point the "Freeloader" finger ... until it is your turn to try and game the system.
The planes leave every few hours ... and tickets back to Frarangatopia are cheap.
You are trying to dodge the bullet instead of recognising that there is a problem here in Thailand with dual pricing in general

Bangkok was named the most-visited city for the fourth consecutive year, with about 22.8 million visitors reported in the annual rankings by MasterCard Inc <MA.N>.
This is only with reference to MasterCard what about adding the correct tourist numbers or even Visa Card members

“JSCCIB is concerned that a lack of stimulating factors and [as well as] the stronger baht may eventually lead to lower-than-expected economic expansion in 2019,” he said. “Moreover, if the US Federal Bank decides to reduce interest rates further, it will adversely affect Thailand’s competitive advantage in exports and investment. Therefore, the government must take care of the problem of the strong baht as soon as possible.”
How about reducing the massive spending for the military....???

The pricing structure separates foreign patients into three groups:
- Foreigners from neighbouring countries (including Laos, Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam)
- Foreigners working or studying in Thailand (Non B, ED, M)
- Foreign retirees and tourists (Non O, TR, VOA)
I really hope the rest of the world wakes up and start to make reciprocal charges to Thai visitors on a sliding scale of course with people from Thailand being charged the most.

“Several countries stimulate tourism by opening entertainment places in tourist destinations to encourage foreign tourists to spend. But the country whose policy interests me the most is Italy, where entertainment venues stay open until dawn. I want our entertainment venues to remain open until 4 am because our target group is not local residents but foreign tourists,” Phiphat said.
This is because Thai bars normally close much later than 04:00hrs.....

I'm amazed, they know where the faults lay but implementation of the correct policing is still the main problem in applying any of the new or old rules is the problem; when are the authorities going to realise that the soft approach is seen as weakness amongst the Thai youth, they know that by paying a few Baht to the police (depending on what they have been involved in) they will walk away with a slap on the wrist.

Once again the officials pussyfooting around, if the devices do not function correctly in any way if they cannot fix the flaw the contract SHOULD be revoked with immediate effect and forget the May Be....
