Geoffggi replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
This is the answer to Thailands atrocious road casualties - Flood all roads ............LOL -
As stated by Richard once again the soft approach to people going through RED lights, in England the ambulance driver would be at fault, all emergency services Police, Fire & Ambulances can proceed through red lights PROVIDING IT IS SAFE TO DO SO. Why Thailand cannot see the sense in this law is beyond me as they still class it as a minor offence

The police lieutenant was ordered to conduct a blood test for possible alcohol or drug abuse. The results are undergoing. Meanwhile, Buriram Police Commissioner Ruthaphol Nawarat strictly ordered the Nang Rong district police to conduct an investigation with justice and without bias after relatives of the victims expressed their concern about the investigation which mainly involved a police officer. I can certainly understand their concern as there is already a distinct lack of information ...!!!

So could you please point out the difference between alcohol & cannabis? Alcohol is freely available & everyone knows teens can purchase it easily, add to this the fact that items like white spirits some of which maybe illicit with little or no regulation on sales. I do agree that there does need to be regulations regarding sale to underage children purchasing cannabis the same as cigarettes, & alcohol but as we all know in Thailand these regulations are not always adhered to.

Stray dogs caught after chasing after tourists and residents in Phuket
Geoffggi replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
No they don't, but they can still carry & transmit rabies in addition to damaging peoples property like motorcycle seats and ruin outdoor furniture, they also defecate on other peoples property which stinks to high heaven, cats should be kept enclosed and not allowed to free roam. -

As it is obvious that the average Thai driver does not want to conform with driving with due care where crossings are used, the answer may be to fit speed bumps at both sides of the crossing then they will not be able to speed through the crossings, ensure that sufficient signs warn of these speed bumps so motorist have no excuse for not slowing down.
