Got the 700 (1920x1080 resolution). Excellent machine in every respect. I have several other tablets but this is the best I have seen. Bought it in USA from Amazon.
Does anyone know the price of the current transformer 700 here in thailand, will it drop now the new machines have been announced. Might be an option if the price is low. Does it still run on Ice Cream Sandwich.

I am definitely going to buy either the new Transformer Infinity or the Trio, depending on the price differential. They both look awesome. They never seem to sell Asus products here in Pattaya. Where do you recommend buying in BKK? MBK or Pantip? Can't wait till Q3.

I have just come back from Koh Samui it's the same there rip off taxi fares. It would probably stop me ever going back there.

Around the 7/8 in size there is only one you need to consider - Nexus 7.

It's funny you should post that, i live in Pattaya and have exactly the same problem. I have had Truevisions out 2 times already but it doesn't improve. I thought there might be a problem with my set up but it sounds like Truevisions are sending poor quality signals.
When i look at the signal strength it is 80%+ but the signal quality is very low.
Nothing to do with the weather, happens on a clear day. When it does rain i lose the signal altogether.
i am in pattaya too
i have no such problems
not even when it rains
sorry you have
maybe the dish needs re-aligning with a meter
not just by eye by the true installers
The odd thing is that it's worse on some channels, particularly 130 HBO HD while other channels are fine.

There is a clinic here in Pattaya that offer a 15 item health check up for 500 baht, or a 27 item programme for 2,000 baht.

Avoid Apple at all costs. Nexus 7 is the king.

I think Carnage is on record saying that he wants Sterling devalued by 10-15%. The Government are paying this guy $1 million a year so i assume he will have some leeway to implement his ideas. My bet is on Sterling coming down to low 40s by the year end.

Surely you would want to see a service history on a 3 year old car which would clearly show the mileage at each service. If they don't have that i would walk away.

Did anyone use these places today?
Wondering what rate people might have got as I went to Big C today and got 46.36 to the £.
TT was 46.65 today

I think the best place for Yamaha servicing is now the Mityon garage on Thepprasit Road. It's on the left going towards Sukhumvit about 800 yards before Suk. It is rarely busy and they seem to know what they are doing.

Check out the note 8 for 15,200 brilliant .
That's a crazy price for an 8 in tablet. You can get the 10 in Asus Memopad for 10,900.

I think 11,200 is the official Apple price, i suspect most shops in Tukcom would sell it to you for 9,200 anyway.

Avoid Tuk.Com..............too many copies to be wary of
I think you have to be careful at Tukcom but if you go to one of the main retailers there, like Wattana, they are OK. I noticed yesterday they were selling an i3 Samsung with 4gb ram for 12,900 baht. I bought a Samsung RV418 from Wattana there and it's been great (with copy windows).

In Pattaya hair cuts have just gone up from 70 to 80 baht and i complained at that.

Don't buy second hand, the prices are crazy. 350k will only get you a 6-7 year old car with many kms. 440k gets you a new car with 3 year warranty.

I agree with WayWardWind but if you chose the mail you can go to Soi Post Office off beach Rd. Quite well known for farangs and I believe it is soi 13 or soi 13/1? Maybe someone can say for sure.
It's Soi 13/2, but always crowded. Also Post Offices at Sawang Fa Road, Naklua and Jomtien Soi 5 (Immigration Soi).
I never find it crowded. Whenever i go in i usually just walk straight up to the counter and get served immediately. Much better than the UK.

What do you mean by condo fees, the annual maintenance charge? These vary a lot but are usually 20-40 baht per sq m per month.

Come on we all know the answer - girls.

Does anyone know if this is available in Thailand yet. I see it's on sale now in the UK form 399 GBP.
It seems to tick all the right boxes as an android tablet that can beat the ipad. I hope it's not overpriced as i wouldn't pay 20,000 + when i can get an ipad4 for 14,500.

People who drive Toyota Fortuners and think they own the road.
People who don't wear shirts in bars (unless they are female).

I wouldn't consider a second hand car in Thailand at the crazy prices they ask. For 390-430,000 you can buy a brand new car with a warranty.

Thanks for the link. The quote it as the Prime, do they mean that or the 700? The price seems a bit steep at 23,590, especially when you can get the good MemoPad at 10,690. Hope the new Transformer is under 20,000.
