  1. The army is being coaxed to make a decision.

They got to nip this in the bud and agree otherwise it won't just be a violent yellow shirt mob they have to control, it will be the whole nation.

if the government tells not asks the army to protect the election from Suthep facists then they should shut up and just do it. Any Officer disobeying orders or aligning themselves to a retire officers club should be tried for mutiny and hung accordingly.

The army has no choice....if as you say they refuse to man the polling booths then thats mutiny

  2. You're an idiot suthep. I think you and your thugs are using greater violence than the police and it is you and you alone who is itching for full on confrontation and not the government.

You are either blind or did not watch the live coverage of what happened yesterday.

All these protests have achieved very little. They can protest fro dawn to dusk but for what...Yingluck is going nowhere, Then ask who benefits from escalating the violence in a hope of rousing the army. The escalation, beatings and bullets are all coming from the Suthep Mob

  3. Doesn't Suthep think it odd that only Bangkok folks are protesting, and only a fraction of the numbers he reports? It's amazing how little support this guy has.

From my local Amphoe alone 5 buses went yesterday morning, and met up with around 15 more in Ranong. Left for the capital at around 9:00 am. My SIL and friends were among them.

Did she happen to mention the cost of the bus?

    Now that was funny

  4. Just to give you an idea of how dim witted YL is.

There are bombs going off in Songklha.

I bet she doesn't even acknowledge them, let alone stand up and make a statement about them.

This is how inept and disinterested she is regarding her country.

These protests are very valid, and I hope they remain strong as they have been shown to be since they started.

lot of pent up passion in that post

  5. The anecdotal reports of Suthep's groupies are worthless. The photos show very small numbers of people. His "movement" has clearly fizzled out.

Sorry to p**s on your box of fireworks but ....

Just on of the 16 sites (including YL house)

  6. Yes, they said 9 to 14 months actually.

Or are you a 'Johnny come lately' and not been following the commentary over the past 6 weeks?

I would highly surprised if the democrats haven't lost support due to their hamfisted handling of their should we shouldn't we backing of the protests and their refusal to run in elections.

11.5 million people voted for them in the last election and they have now taken away the ability for those people to express their support for their policies and representation.

It's quite shameful...Shows a total disregard for your supporters unless you are 100% sure they all support the PDRC which is doubtful.

With regards to PDRC claim of 9-14 months reform period, this seems rather arbitrary.

It could be less (unlikely) or it could be longer, there is no FIRM policy on what they want to reform, how they propose this council will be appointed etc etc

When you see Suthep and PDRC constantly changing the date for the end of these protests how can they be trusted to finish their proposed "reform" and holding elections in a timely manner.

You are wildly misinformed. Almost all of their supporters wanted the boycott.

Please bring us the evidence to support your claim that they have lost voter support for boycotting or even their approach to boycotting.

They are not stupid you know.

Excuse me but you are the one making the claim that the Democrats had not lost any support (I merely stated I would be surprised if they hadn't)

I find that somewhat contentious, please bring us the evidence that they have gained voter support....

With regards to them not being stupid I guess we'll have to wait and see, unless of course you can produce evidence to the contrary....

There is many middle of the road Bangkokians who would have switched from Dems at this election. Look at The Bangkok Governer election...PTP candidate got a 400,000 increase in his vote. If the Dems had run we would have see Bangkok fall to PTP in a big way

...Pi Nong na krap (repeat over 1000 times to sound just like Mr Suthep)

  7. How is this 'mad man' allowed to cause all this trouble in Bangkok, why doesn't he go out into the rest country and see what support he has from others, instead of bangkokians and the southeners that he can blind with bullshit.

He wouldn't make it much north of Ayutthaya without being put out of his misery.

If Suthep held a rally any further North of Bangkok he could hold it in a phone box

Please supply 11,000,000 links to support this

  9. All one has to do, is to go to blueskychannel.tv to see how many protesters are out there, today Five main stages and at least 10 smaller ones, in Bangkok. Lots of people, lots of fun and excitment. (and some very cute singer, a little while ago, who had everybody dancing.

Little Miss Noluck, seems to be on her way out.

Why not create a political party with all that support and run in the election...oh sorry thats democratic and the Peoples Council don do democracy

  10. I would like to hear people's views on Abhisit's quote, "the democratic process has been distorted."

What does that mean to people?

well it clearly means "we will lose - so we won't take part - so there!" and that's all it means as if they thought they could/would win their constant whining would miraculously cease

Yet, they took part in the 2007 and 2011 elections when they didn't have much chance. Try again.

They know that even with all this corruption by PTP that they will suffer an even bigger routing than the 100 seat loss at the last election. Best not compete with The most popular politician in Thai history because he will hand our 4rse back to us. How unelectable are the Dems?

  11. Have the shopping malls in the Siam area (MBK, Discovery, Paragon, Central World) opened for business today?

They are all open. MBK is crowded with shoppers. The protest crowd outside is TINY ( maybe 500-1000). All other mall are open

If this protest had been an injured dog (some may say it is) it would have been put out of its misery now

  12. If I understand this correctly, there's 200,000 Thai people who want to give up their right to vote, with no guarantee when the right will ever be returned. Allow the country to be run by 'friends of friends' to change the constitution, the law and anything else that will ensure they remain feasting at the top table. Thaksins corrupt...let me think about it

  13. I am willing to take bets the democrats will do a back flip with pike between now and nomination day.

They will be there in the election, as there is too much to lose for the members. They want their snouts at the trough, albeit at a smaller trough than the government, they will still feel the need to have some power.

Todays announcement is at the request of their backers , who unsuprisingly are Sutheps backers. Just a vane attempt to get a few more on the street tomorrow. If the firework is not lit tomorrow I tend to agree they will be back in the election. March with Suthep, Disown Suthep, back Suthep, it fails tomorrow disown Suthep. Remind me why these honorable Democrats are unelectable

And their backers are 'the people'. Who are making mass donations to Suthep to help achieve this honourable goal.

'Remind me why these honorable Democrats are unelectable'....... Erm... They pulled out of the corrupt Feb 2nd elections.

Just for your own personal clarification. Thank me later.

Saw money being counted on on Bluesh1te Tv..3-4 hundred thousand..it costs 5,000,000 per day for rent a mob.
