  1. Every 5 years the Dem Party would find the village and say "vote for us it will be better next time" so the village people did and nothing changed. Off they went to Bangkok never to be seen for another 5 years. Along came Thaksin "Vote for me it will be different next time" so in 2001 they give the new guy a try. The guy delivered his 30 baht health care and ever since he has been the messiah of the millions. Its not that Thaksin gave them alot its just that the DEms gave them nothing for 60 years. The treatment by the so called elites of poor people in Thailand will never be forgotten and it is inconceivable to think that the fact they are totally unelectable will ever change.

These few people cannot just dismiss 15,000,000 voters like it was the 1950's. If they remove the government of choice there can be only bloodshed but if civil war is the way forward we cannot stop it. Only hope the right people cop the bullets and not the foot soldiers on both sides. A little bit of Nicolae Causcescu...round the back for certain individuals

Nice little red shirt bed time story. Do you realise that the Democrats have only been in power for 9 years in total?

For some its not a story its a nightmare

  2. Lets not believe that the Democrats stand down carries 11,000,000 votes with it. They basically stand with rent a mob, people who want to give up their votes (its true) maybe 250,000, retired military brass and the backers of this charade. How can these few people demand reform against millions. Remove this government at your peril. I really want to see 10,000,000 on the streets

  3. Pramon Sutivong, chairman of the Anti-Corruption Organisation of Thailand (ACT)

Add another acronym to the list. I need a dictionary.

Pramon Sutivong is on the board of directors of a large Thai corporation which is majority owned by (self censorship here).

And he was the head man at Toyota Thailand. Its well known by all international companies who wish to be in Thailand that they do not go thru governmental channels they use the infamous shadowy 'state within a state' route. Then certain Thais are used as head of the these companys. Effectively its the even more shadowy amart that Thaksin is trying to replace with his own Amart. Pramon as an axe to grind...move on nothing to read here

  4. Hmm..this idiot just dont understand the meaning of corruption and donation. People have their right to donate to whoever they want to show support. They support people organising this protest, not giving suthep to keep. So MR IDIOT, I think u better wash clean your "ass" and prepare to sit behind bars.

You would not say that "people have the rights to donate to whoever they want to show support" if you had been living in the Uk in the 70's and 80's when people were making donations to the IRA that funded the bombing campaigns that killed innocent people in shopping malls etc (including two of my family members in the Manchester bombing)

Are you refering to the Manchester bombing of 96..over 200 injured and no deaths. Its just that you started your text with 70s and 80s

  5. A man with a pipe speaks...................

    And the country regresses again.

    Regresses?

It couldn't be more regressed at the moment thanks to this rabble.

I think they should just come out and remove this lot of idiots, so we can move forward here, why are they waiting for violence and death? They have the opportunity to avoid it. Thaksin won't back down, so his cancer needs to be removed.

It will happen anyway, one way or the other, but the military want blood to flow first and so does Thaks.

From another thread on this forum, it looks as if the Dear Leader's thugs are gearing up for a conflagration with the police. 900 ping pong bombs confiscated from the Dear leader's activists on the way to this weekend's protests, some of his parade guards charged with firearms offences. Yes, it is all being engineered sep by step, if not by Benito, then by the real power behind him. That must worry the military's top brass because they know they that if they intervene it will be a disaster for them and the country.

I suspect, again from another thread on this forum, thet the top brass might also be concerned about the possibility of less senior officers taking matters into their own hands.

How will it play out on Sunday? On the one hand you have the PM who has demonstrated she does not want anymore confrontation and more flowers are on the Agenda. She does not want the military to come out of the barracks, of that I think we all agree

On the other hand Suthep with his faceless backers and threats from retired brass. He desperately wants confrontation as a way to get the army to intervene. If we have no violence then we have more D Days. Suthep needs violence as the turnout for his city rambles are diminishiing daily. He needs to kick it off on Sunday, of that I think we agree.

There is no point to his rally calls because nobody is resigning and the elections are not being cancelled.

  6. Suthep wants his peoples council in place for about 18 months..ummm. Without sitting down to discuss with his 'known 300 of 400 members' he can truly say 18 months minimum. The '18' months is significant...go work out why hes after a power grab and now. Who will benefit if he is successful and are these benefactors the biggest losers, for their treatment of Thaksin, if he is unable to install his Peoples Council.....

  7. There are many authenticity problems with the photo above that came from the Nation. That sucks.

It appears the van was sprayed with water, moved back a few inces, and then photographed. This must be true because there is a dry spot in front of each of the front tires. The water was sprayed on the van, and the van was moved back a few inches immediately afterwards. Notice the tire on the left is dry and the tire on the right (camera perspective) is wet. Since the wheels are turned, not facing straight, the dry tire travelled a greater distance than other and that is why the tire is dry. The part of the dry tire you can see was protected from the water by the van's weight when it was sprayed, and remained untouched by liquid. When they sprayed the water and then ingeniously moved the van for the picture, it exposed the dry part of the rubber to the camera. The other tire is wet because the front of the van pivoted on it and it did not turn.

Further, molotov cocktails make an impressive fireball and mini-mushroom cloud. Again, not one single object but the van was damaged, not even the very dried out bush to the right of the van.

This vehicle was damaged in one place and photographed in another.

With dwindling numbers at the protests, dwindling publicity, and dwindling interest, the timing is perfect to 'fuel the enraged protestors' for this weekend's newest march against the once again violent red menace. Pick whatever side you like, punters, but this picture is bullsh#t.

This photo op was poorly staged and timed. 1zgarz5.gif

    Shenanigans.

Nice conspiracy theory that fails on a number of items. There is a white, not necessarily dry, strip in front of one tyre, but narrower than the tyre. The black mark on the tyre is quite likely carbon, not water, which I expect if a very hot fire erupted there. Exactly how you pivot a van while moving only one front tyre is beyond me - drag the back sideways perhaps?

And the very dried out bush looks like it has had most of its leaves burnt off, and the pot shows soot on the side closest the van.

So we are left with your theory of someone going to a lot of effort to achieve very little, or anti-Thaksin protesters being targeted with bombs, something which happens far too frequently. Which do you think the most likely?

Yep.. I noticed all those errors, but didn't want to play his game.

    But I will add this.

A petrol bomb when hurled does make a big cloud of smoke, but i don't know why that makes any difference unless you want the smoke to remain hanging there for forensics arrival. The main part of the fireball burns out within a second and just leaves traces of fire while the last of the petrol burns off within about 30 seconds unless it has had sugar mixed with the petrol bomb.

just used palain old petrol which is not an effective type of petrol bomb.Likely these red thugs

I have thrown petrol bombs in my youth just messing around, so I know what I am talking about. All the evidence in the picture points to a petrol bomb (no sugar) impacting in front of the left quarter of the van probably on the ground and looks to have been extibguished by the security guards pretty quickly with the garden hose from the right of the shot.

Drying on concrete happens in patches and is controlled by the undulations in the surface with lower dips drying last. So proves none of your theory.

Lastly... Why would anyone go to the trouble of doing it somewhere and moving it to somewhere else? Makes more sense to just ask the security to throw a petrol bomb at the van and then put the fire out. No need whatsoever for moving the vehicle as it would lend zero credibility to the report.

    You are delusional my friend.

    Likely these red thugs....

    Evidence of perpetrators...links please

  8. Read what I wrote, look at the picture, and refute what I said logically.....refute one single point...just one.

I won't hear anything along those lines because you know I am correct in my assumptions and it really ticks you off to see a protest leader so obviously cught out with his knickers down.

I'm a scientist. If you disagree with my conclusions, then disprove them. If you can prove me wrong, I am all ears. Calling me a poopy head does not end the argument at all. It makes the thinking people laugh at your bombastic self-indulgence posing as altruistic incompetence.

You might need a dictionary for that one.

    cheesy.gif

When they are at the height of their unpopularity its normal to bomb yourself to garner sympathy.... or have your own supporters lob grenades off a freeway into a peaceful crowd to up the anti as your numbers are dwindling

  9. Why would it matter if Thaksin picked the candidates, run the government and drove the bloody bus. The reason a broad spectrum of Thai People, not only the poor, voted for PTP because he was the man they wanted running the country. Junta courts can sentence him to a million years but it wont stop PTP increasing their 100 seat majority over the Undemocratic party( who rallied to do away with one man one vote).

The reason that Thaksin keeps winning is because there is no credible opposition to keep them in check. After putting their ugly faces at the front of PDC march, that failed miserably, their image is in the sh1tter. Before 2001 the Undemocratic party behaved the same way as now but with no oppostion and kept having some form of success in coalition, problem is they are doing the same thing. Educated people...LMAO

  10. It does not take a rocket scientist to realize the current system and the way it is run is not working. Every few years there seems to be protests or a coup. I do not have the answer as to what needs to be done or implemented to correct it ... but as sure as the sure as the sun will rise tomorrow if they use the same corrupt system the protests or coup will soon follow.

Of course Thaksin wants the election to proceed as planned, PTP will win and they will try jam amnesty for him down Thais throats again. This will lead to ............. deja vue .......

Really is too bad that one person and his greed, quest for power and revenge are so all consuming that he is willing to lead a country to ruins.

    Of course you are right.

The thing is though, I can't see any point in forcing the amnesty bill through, and I am not even sure if it is totally killed now that parliament has been dissolved. maybe someone can shed a little light on that.

But even if the bill did go through and Thaksin was cleared of his evils, I am sure he is not so stupid as to return to Thai soil. He knows that in a country where he is hated by probably around 20 or 30 million people, his days would be severely numbered. I think he has burnt his bridges here well and truly.

I would give him a month tops to survive in this country after his return.

Clearing him of his crimes is merely academic, clearing him of the hatred is impossible.

Now Dems got 11 million votes at the last election you are still 19,000,000 short of hating voters. Links to your world please

  11. Oh dear! Just 2,500 sheep trotting along behind little Benito. Somehow I don't think that he is going to get his two million on Sunday, but then it should have been obvious to anyone that his support is seriously slipping away as his demands grow ever more threatening and bombastic.

yes but the streets were lined with people who cheered them up. People rushed from the offices to the street to greet.

While 2500 sounds extreme low, the respond was way better than what the PAD got.....I wouldn't count them out, yet.

It doesn't sound very low ...2500 is pitiful. Tomorrow there is a march in Khon Kaen and 3000 people will attend...thing is they are all primary kids. LMFAO and more people will run out to cheer them than Suthep

  12. Oh dear! Just 2,500 sheep trotting along behind little Benito. Somehow I don't think that he is going to get his two million on Sunday, but then it should have been obvious to anyone that his support is seriously slipping away as his demands grow ever more threatening and bombastic.

    Totally clueless.

It was said already that the main protest isn't till Sunday, this is just the start and 2,500 was just one march at its beginning and the others join along the way. You don't need 10 million marchers to cause gridlock, you need a few handfuls in different areas. that is enough to stop the city roads dead. Wait till Sunday before opening your stupid gob.

Suthep is winning this war bit by bit. You can't and never will see that until it is all over and the Yingluck/Thaksin government are all finished. Then I suppose you will skulk away with your tail between your legs like I am predicting.

    Long Live The People's Revolution.

"Long live the revolution" "winning bit by bit" > Call the farm another turkey has escaped. I am totally clueless too and I wont be running away with my tail between my legs. We cant talk about the real reasons for this anti government rally( no its not) because it is illegal to do so.

  13. I was watching them at Asoke, and at first there appeared to be 500-1000. Then a couple more groups turned up. When they left, I reckon there might have been 4-5000 gathered there. Many were from businesses in the area, so wouldn't have continued on with the protesters and speakers when they moved off up Sukhumvit.

Sunday will be the telling day.

Will Sunday be the 7-8th D Day. Just lock the turkey up

  14. "About 2,500 people marched along one of the city's main roads holding banners that read "We are anti-corruption" and "No elections before reform". Others are expected to join as they move through central business areas."

As Michael or Suthep would say : we are the world, we are the people.....

So those that believe they are on the side of the people, Suthep and a few retired generals, you now want to reform the nation with the will of 2500 people, for the 2500 people or less. Run along home Suthep

  15. It is obvious that Thaksin doesn't want any reform that doesn't allow him to govern the country from his enclave so PTP won't budge.

A few months ago we had a 'reconciliation' forum with a few ex-politicians flown in to boost the facade. The result - nothing. Now they are having 'reform' talk-fests from which - according to PTP's (n)ever-lying spokesperson - all are agreed that the general election somehow constitutes reform. It's all bullshit.

Suthep hasn't helped his case by not having a clear method of reform with no real time limit. Some of his ideas are unachievable but others are quite possible to implement if the will is there. For example he proposes elections for provincial governors and the police chief as well as decentralising some arms of government. All good points but lost amidst the hate-filled crap against him personally instead of a level-headed look at what he has proposed.

But he has opened Thai eyes to the need for reforms to tackle corruption which includes vote-buying & nepotism.

Suthep has got no policies, no 300 committee members and no idea. How many times does it have to be stated. This is about Thaksin but not about reforming anything. Suthep and his backers need to grab power now...now...now, they are terrirfied of what the future holds with Thaksins Allies. We only need one D Day to win the second world war and this clown has had 5 already.

Ask why he keeps it going...why ...why...why. We did not need reforms when the Dems had power. Please think outside the box and ask questions its not about what you can post. My head hurts banging it on this concrete

  16. But if the election date cannot be postponed, the PDRC should help campaign for a fair election and no vote buying, Somchai said.

    Better tell them dems

Deputy Democrat party leader Alongkorn Ponlaboot in an interview that was broadcast on May 31, 2013 on John Winyu’s show (รองหัวหน้าพรรคประชาธิปัตย์กล่าวในรายการ “เจาะข่าวตื้น ตอน 99″) stated:

“Recently, if we speak directly, they [Puea Thai] use little money. I am not saying we [the Democrats] use more money than them [Puea Thai]. [host interprets with statement "they are using less money"]. It has become inverted [host interprets and says "They don't need to use so much money?"] I say if it is like that then don’t say we lost because of money”. “For the last election, it may be because we actually used more than them. Therefore, don’t talk about this issue anymore."

Very interesting post- thanks. (Suthep once made a similar statement- that the 'vote buying' by the PTP is not of the cash in envelope variety anymore- but rather populist policies.

clutching straws there. Dems spent more money vote buying than anybody at the last election. You heard it from a Depuyty PM. Its just a reminder to all those idiots that keep saying PTP bought the election. I have many more little snippets like that but this declaration should suffice for now.

  17. Why would anyone accept foreign observers in any country? Any sovereign and self respected country shouldn't do that. I don't see anyone monitoring U.S elections and it is well known fact that George Bush won his first election by blatantly cheating in Florida. It happens everywhere. The USA simply set a bad example. Cheating is OK. The problem in Thailand is not only the election day but the whole process. People and their families, kids included are physically intimated in areas under red mob control during and after campaigns. It's absolute lawlessness in rural Thailand. Furthermore, as long as people like Jatuporn and Nattawut, who are directly responsible for carnage, deaths and acts of terror in 2010, are allowed to participate in Thai politics and occupy public functions instead of being locked up in jail for good Thailand will not have a civilized and normal e

........under red mob control during and after campaigns. It's absolute lawlessness in rural Thailand.

Appears a memo has done the rounds and the yellow perils have moved from 'red vote buying' to 'red mob control' and 'absolute lawlessness'. Either put some links or......
