Try the silversmiths down Wua Lai road. Some of the larger ones might help.

Thanks for the input, Mike. Hopefully I will avoid this!

I have stage 3 haemorrhoids, those similarly afflicted will understand. Does anyone have any feedback on treatment in Chiang Mai?
I have read that the Rafaelo technique is effective.
Does anyone have any experience of this or alternatives?

I would like to do some wood turning and would be keen to find a facility with woodworking equipment, wood lathe, band saw, etc., which could be used at an hourly/daily rate. I am aware of the Makerspace near Thapei Gate, but it's lathe is currently non-op.
Alternatively are there any other like minded people that would be interested in getting together and starting a co-operative?

I used to use 3M filter material on the aircon, but aircon fans are quite expensive to run and the filcrete does impede airflow. I found it best to buy 2 standalone Sharp filters. put one in the lounge and one in the master bedroom and leave them running on low 24/7. Change the filters every 6 months or so (approx. 200 THB from Lazada) and give the intake side a run over with the vacuum cleaner now and again.
Works for us!

Has anyone had recent experience of the passport renewal service offered by VFSGlobal. and if so, any guidance would be appreciated.

Recently bought a couple of bedside cabinets online which arrived short of some fixings for chipboard as pictured. Does anyone know where I can buy in CM?
Tried Mr DIY in Airport Plaza, (which have a small selection of actual DIY items and a load of <deleted> you can get virtually anywhere!) with no success.

Moving soon and my wife has decided to part with her lace making tools.
We have bobbins and lace making pillows (flat and standing)
Anyone interested?

Suggest you try the Chiang Mai Dental hospital on the S'highway between Maya and the 107 junction (S side). On G map as Chiang Mai hospital.

BKK Bank ATMs seem to be down! Have tried a couple of machines in CM but just say "Transaction Cancelled"
Does anyone have any info on this?

It's called redistribution of wealth.
If you have a long term relationship in the West you could be had for a split of assets by law on breaking up, much more expensive!

You can find resin and moulds on the internet very easily. Lazada for the resin, Banggood for the moulds.

I believe there may be a difference if you use one account for day to day living AND the 800k security deposit.
I know a guy who does this and when he presented his paperwork was told to get it done the same day.
I keep a separate account for my 800k and have never had problems in doing the letter and statement copies a few days prior. Never hurts to have your bank book with you as well.

Wander round the local market, most have a stall/shop selling reading glasses.
If you are near Chiang Mai Gate there is a good one 50 yards North of the gate, also does watch repairs.

I saw a couple of tables on a post on this site this morning with a couple of tables showing very atractive health insurance rates. They are not of interest to me but a friend who could have a problem was interested when it came up in conversation.
Can anyone help me locate this post?

Looking at the historic AQICN site data is quite interesting.
Unfortunately I cannot find any year on year data that would indicate long term trends.
I feel that recent guidelines from civic leaders regarding ways of minimising the effects of the forthcoming season by hiding indoors with an air purifier to be of concern. Sounds like they've given up any attempts at prevention!

I take it you have thought it through and really need a multiple re-entry permit. I used to get one when I worked and was in/out >3 times a year but now I find the airport immigration service best when I need to go. Just my passport has been required and they do the rest! Might need the TM 30 as well now.

Just carried out a 90 day report for self and wife at airport immigration office.
Spent a while photocopying passport pages as per guideline and update to my "retirement" bank account, (last extension after last 90 day report).
Arrive at office and go to enquiry desk for queue number. Wait 10 minutes and get called. Was told no need for photocopies any more or for bank book.
90 day report completed with no hassle and load of copy paper hits the bin!
Anyone know if this is an official change of procedure?

I've often noticed heavy smoke coming from a location an area area SW of that corner of the moat. Looks like a rubbish burn.

The only thing that might prove a problem is if you bring earnings from this years income into LOS which may be taxable, but I somehow doubt that will be an issue!

You might try talking to one of the local charities like WVS Thailand. they have a place near the night safari. their primary purpose is saving animals and I have notified them of animals in distress previously who they have saved and rehabilitated. I am sure they would be sympathetic.
