Hi,
I was supposed to report on the 27th November and tomorrow is my 7th day after the date.
I was asking my building reception if the immigration offices are open at this time (due to demonstrations) and they said offices will be closed.
so, 2 questions:
1. is it 7 days and not 14 days?
2. any latest info regarding the offices, and if they are closed, is there an alternative?
thanks in advance

Hi,I will be going to krabi in a couple of days.Could anybody let me know about transfers from airport to hotel?I was offered an 800 baht cost transfer. but i would think one can get a taxi for much less.Am i right?thanks for infoblossom

ok, but i would need it in parts though, something that is easy to carry and ensemble and the take apart real quickly.

i am not sure if 1" will hold heavy weight of handbags. depends if it flexible metal or iron (which is stronger).but i will be looking for 2 widths. 2 wide ones for the posts (vertical) and 3 narrower ones to insert them horizontally into the posts. also i would need two base structures to put in the posts so it would be stable.went yesterday to chinatown. all was closed, but now i know where it is.

One great street for any metal stock is close to you if you're in Silom
Point your GPS to 13 44 12.38, 100 30 54.02
A 10 minute walk from MRT Hua Lamphong. Take the exit that says "Chinatown", walk around the corner and take the second bridge across the stinky river. Walk 50 meters and you're in metal central for blocks and blocks. A lot of the shops are closed on Sunday, but enough are open you can find just about anything you'd need, and they'll cut it to length.
You'll probably have to take a tuk-tuk home (God forbid) because taxis probably won't take long pieces and the MRT can be kind of picky about letting you in with long pieces. I've gone in with 2 meter aluminum barstock, but they looked at me real funny.
THANK YOU/ GOING THERE RIGHT NOW.

littered virtually everywhere you will find merchants who sell steel in many different profiles by the length and for a nominal price (sometimes free) will cut to your desired length.
You location if you wish to provide will help narrow down the location of such a place.
forgot to mention. i live in silom area.

to arthuwait from my capital letters previous post:
doesn't matter what kind of metal. i would need 2 vertical (round or square), wider ones, and a few horizontal narrower ones so i can insert them in the vertical ones. of course it wider ones should have holes in them.
do you know of any area where there are local stores who have them? wholesalers would usually want to sell bulks.

hi,
i often am participate in bazaars selling handbags and i need rack/s to hang them on it.
i have been buying racks from all different stores like big c, macro and recently a much better quality at specialized local stores.
they always either fall apart or very difficult to ensemble.
now, i decided to make a fairly simple one from metal posts.
my question is: does anybody know where i could find a workshop/factory who could sell me a few of those metal posts?
or maybe an area where i could look around?
thanks for any helpful information.

The reason I brought it up was mainly because I, like the rest of us, used to take a van, and then either a shuttle bus or motorcy to the place. This bus get all the way to the door of immigration. No hussle. The free ride is a bonus, and I don't mind paying the fare if needed!

OP got a good deal.
OP can I come travel with you next time????
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Sure can!

The bis was blue and white, n aircon.
Ir was free both ways, but maybe only today. I don't know.
The fare was the quickest I ever went because it went the shortest way with no stops.

I wanted to let you know, whoever is looking for a simple way of getting to Bangkok immigration, there is a bus #166 from VICTORY MONUMENT, that goes all the way in the shortest way right to the door of the immigration. And it's free.
When you get off the BTS heading to VICTORY MONUMENT, take the stairs to the left, walk left to the next street, cross the street, and there is a bus station for bus #522. #166 also stops there.

Thank you Mario.
I'll try to get it tomorrow at immigration.
At worse case she will get it at the airport.

Hi,
They said I don't have to bring her with me. I always come by myself with mine and her passport for extension.
I'd rather get the re entrance at the airport, and I think I did it already once. Can't be sure.
-
Hi,
I know of this possiblity, but try to avoid dragging her with me.
I's rather get a re entry at the airport if possible.
-
Hi,
Tomorrow I am going to the immigration for extention of stay for me and my daughter. My daughter will also need a departure permit or re entrance permit..
As far as I remember one can get it at the airport on the day of departure for a fee.
Am I right about it?
Thanks for the information.

Common, I shop at tesco/macro every week.It never went over 3,500 tb. And that tops. usually it would be 2,500.That would include just everything we need for the week, including chicken, fruits, vegetables etc. That's for 3 people and plenty of guests.
I don't know what kind of stuff you buy or for what period of time, but maybe you should recalculate.

Thank you all so much. I was really lost.
I am now in touch with someone who is capable and helpful.
tax refund at airport
in General Topics
Posted
Hi,
My friend is leaving tomorrow and she has a few items with receipts for tax refund. She gets very easily confused in airports
My question is: where is the tax refund office in suvarnabum? does anybody have any specific location description?
and also, does one have to come way in advance for the process?
thanks for any information.
