  1. Oh, I did that too. Actually, I have been smoking occationally more then I want (out of habit), I become ssso sick, then quite, and at the first moment I get back to smoking regularly.Eeverything used to work for me in the past, and I'd quite smoking for long periods of time. One time even for 5 years straight. But now, nothing seems to work for me.

Maybe somebody out there knows a hypnotherapist here in Bangkok. That helped me in the past and I had quite cold turkey without any will power.

There must be someone like this around.

    Thanks

  2. I was there for a 90 day report (sliped me mind when) and at that time I transferred the visa from old to new passport. So I assume this is the date I reported. In addition I have a white departure slip (not famailiar with form numbers) which states the date may 25th, I guess this is my return date. That's where my confusion comes from.

  3. I am in Bangkok. I've looked in the wongwanyai area and couldn't find any.

Rama IV road, just down from the Sukhumvit 40 entrance, as if you were heading back down on the Sukhumvit Road, there is a large leather shop, sells its own shoes, bags, jackets, next door to them is there workshop, with half of the waste produce from Macdonalds in there. They dont speak much English so take a Thai person along with you if your language skills are not up to the job

Thank you, I'll give it a check.

  4. Hi, We have a small leather workshop close to Pak Kret. We don't do machine sewn handbags in our shop, but outsource sewing to a guy down the street. He doesn't have a large shop, but he does great work. He speaks some English and we aren't very far away if you need translation. Send me some information if you are interested in contacting him. Depending on how complicated what you need made is, he can produce large quantities.

Hi, thank you for your response. I live at Ekamai. It might be a very long way to get to Pak Kret. Do you know how and how long one gets there from the city?

  5. Hi, I am lookibg for a leather sewing workshop where leather goods such as handbags could be manufactured for me. I have my own design and they should be able to produce a few hundreds items in a month.

If anybody is familiar, or could give me a clue to where to find a place of the sort I would appreciate it a lot.

    Thanks

  6. I have a 6.5 year old son and I too have been shocked at the prices of a full English curiculume schools in Thailand, even more expensive that Dubai and Qatar!!!

Right now I am working in Phnom Penh and he is enrolled in an a fully certified international school with a mix of English, American, fillipino teachers for about $400 per term!! about $50 registration fees etc. Really really good, even in the play ground it's "English only". He's very happy, even the local kids enrolled here speak English, even in the playground.

Thailand is a complete rip off in my opinion.

Could you let me know the name of the school?

  7. I intend to start manufacturing leather bags for export purpose. For that I would need to buy leather pieces and find a worshop to sew them according to my designs.Could anybody tell me if there are sources of good quality leather in chiang mai, and also if workshops like this are easy to find. Is leather prices compared to Bangkok are reasonable?

if you have any knowledge of the above, could you direct me to the right places?

    It would be greatly appreciated.

  8. Dear Friend,

I've read your previous post and can't tell you how sorry I am to hear of your situation. I think coming to Thailand is a great way to live the rest of your life. the weather here is good, and life is easy. I also understand your wish to be with a Thai lady, and I'm sure you will get lucky to find a nice one, As mentioned before in one of the posts, don't tell that lucky lady about your assets and give her your atm when you leave, And you don't need to transfer your money to a Thai bank. You can leave it at your home country, and withdraw occasionally any amount you need, so can the Thai lady.

Hope you'll live much longer then your plans.

  9. It is very easy to get addicted to TV. Gets you "involved" in other people's lives. Have experienced it myself. It requires no effort of any sort. Too easy. After a while I stopped altogether and only get in occasionally. The other things you do in life, like reading a book, sports, meeting people, hang out in the markets, and many more, are much more fulfilling and lets you live a much more satisfying life.

Get a grip and get involved in the other things as if you take a medicine. Difficult in the beginning, but much more enjoyable when done.

    Good luck to you

  10. so I will not do it.

the best way is to just buy a container and because I live in Eu I can ship it around that way

dhl for 25 kilos is 6000 bht, that is cheap, am I correct?

I don't think you should overlook this option. Selling on ebay gives you exposure to millions of people and this way you can lower your profits per item but still make money. You just have to calculate all expenses and profits beforehand. I would give it a try if I were you.

  11. Hi, I'm looking for a course on the topic in Bangkok. It should be a single course and not a bachelor's degree.

Googled it but didn't find any interesting ones.

Does anybody have a knowledge of a course like that? or which ones are good?

This is my second post of the same topic. The other one is in the Bangkok section. But maybe this forum would reach more people of the field.

    Thanks
