They call it malinformation... So you're contending that the NHS is nicely staffed up and they couldn't use a few more nurses and doctors? Personnel they could easily attract by tweaking their immigration policies to show a preference for skills in short supply? Instead, they seem to favor random disenfranchised asylum seekers, with no particular skillset other than not liking it "back home".

Neither would the good folks of Chicago, New York and Denver. And they're not racist. They just don't like seeing their kids kicked out of school, and their streets turned into open air toilets, and their city budgets take it in the shorts to pay for the new arrivals. Especially when the new arrivals get freebees and bennies that the locals have been crying out for, for decades. I'd imagine there are similar good folks all over Britain. It's a shame, really. The wealthier countries could attract the best, the brightest and the most industrious immigrants from all over the world. All they'd have to do is tweak their immigration requirements and they could inundate their country with doctors, nurses, engineers and skilled (and unskilled) laborers with impeccable backgrounds. Immigrants that would be a net add, instead of a net cost and for decades. But the Globalists among them worry that they'd be stripping talent from countries that sorely need that talent. Sorely need, but don't deserve because of corruption and backward cultures. It's long past time for our leaders to put our own countries first.

Florida Bill Threatens to Out and Endanger Transgender People
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
As if requiring their DL match their birth certificate represents some kind of existential threat to their safety. Must have been a quiet week on the picket lines. Time to drum up some more publicity. -
Not a big fan of either party when it comes to spending money we don't have in return for donations and votes. But this topic seems to contend that things are getting better under Bidenomics. Which voters aren't feeling. Case in point, Credit Card Debt. Which, I'd contend, is nearer and dearer to the voters' hearts than GDP or stock prices. (Edit: What old timers called "kitchen table issues") US credit card balances see largest yearly leap on record https://edition.cnn.com/2023/11/07/economy/household-debt-credit-card-delinquencies-q3/index.html

Florida Bill Threatens to Out and Endanger Transgender People

So help me out here... How does having the wrong gender on a DL "Threaten(s) to Out and Endanger Transgender People", any more than the wrong hair color or the wrong weight? Just another excuse to get together, work up a frenzy, and hate on conservatives... -

This is a war against making your birth certificate match your DL. Brave indeed... As if that's a bigger privacy and personal security issue than having your current address on your DL, for anyone that wants to stalk you. -

Before photo ID's it made sense to put the gender on your DL. Nowadays? Not so much. Especially with REAL ID. This is yet another much ado about nothing... SJW's marching off to war with anyone and anything that doesn't toe their line. -

If the British TV News has an equivalent of MSNBC's Joy Reid, I suggest they take the microphone away from her while they're reporting on this story. Or they may be in for a rare few seconds of honesty, along with an F bomb on the air. -
20 years ago, I bought an HP laser printer and an HP scanner and came to find out that the drivers could not both be run on the same PC. Incompatible. So I've been a never-HP guy since then, and I don't miss them a bit. Too many better choices. I like Brother lasers... Never had a problem with any of the half dozen I own in different locations, even the cheapies. Epsons are okay, too. But they come with way too much bloatware.

I think she said the quiet part out loud during a CNN interview... CARROLL: Exactly. This would never - I would never have this window, this year of having the ability to bring a lawsuit for rape. Robbie can explain it better. KAPLAN: Well, E. Jean actually helped to get that law passed. It passed last year. We filed -- it was Thanksgiving Day. It was the first day you could sue. We filed just after midnight on Thanksgiving. And there are a lot of other women throughout the state and, hopefully, throughout this country that they will get other laws like this passed in other states. And New York women should use this law while it's still around, which is until next Thanksgiving. https://transcripts.cnn.com/show/ctmo/date/2023-05-10/segment/06 My guess is that all 3 of them realized the implications and STFU right after that gem of a statement.

I think that during his administration, Palestinians and Israelis weren't killing the heck out of each other. Not until 2 year into Biden's reign. Plenty of time for Biden to make another of his disastrous executive orders against all things Trump. Like at the border and Keystone. Neither were the Russkies and the Ukes killing each other en masse during the Bad Orange Man. And WW3 wasn't in the air. And I think results speak 10x as loud as the words that come out of (both sides of) their mouths. Hopefully, so will the voters.

Not to worry. The MSM will spin it to be the Bad Orange Man's fault. I miss mean tweets and relative peace.

One of my favorite clichés here is "Lack of curiosity isn't a virtue". Hard to tell what caliber they'll be without speaking to them... If Mazars or PW were to sponsor a competing event in BKK, sure I'd choose BKK. But I'm not sure either of them would be keen for my piddly business. Hua Hin is almost in range just for a good meal. Add a few hours at the beach, and it would be a nice getaway. With a bonus of maybe learning something.

I'm no longer a tax resident and just keep a token amount in my Thai bank account to keep it open, so I don't (yet) have a dog in the fight. And I'm not associated at all with any Thai tax attorneys. If I were one of those guys, I'd definitely get the advice of a tax expert before I started filing any documents with the Revenue Department. I'd hope that they start on Jan 1 with a clean slate, but I'd sure hate to guess wrong.

I think a lot of guys are going to find out they've been violating tax laws for many years, and they just didn't get caught. And a lot of guys already know they've been breaking the tax laws for many years... They'll be finding out if they can still keep doing it without getting caught. (I worked with a bunch of them) I'd take the drive from BKK to HH if I was in country that day... Though I'm sure some BKK tax lawyers will do similar evenings.

Protecting the most powerful man in the world? I'd be surprised if there's not an emergency operating theater, too. Not to mention all the geezers from all over the world that visit. You don't want the President of Slobovia to cut a meeting short because he's got a headache. With a doctor and a pharmacy on staff, I don't get what this nothing burger is about. The doctor can legally prescribe pretty much any legal medication, and with a prescription, staff can go down to the in-house pharmacy. Seems like a gub'ment time saver and a frugal use of a resource that has to be there anyway. It's not as if they don't have health insurance to pay for it...

I think that the credibility of the information being fed to the American people that may lead us into war is a pretty relevant issue. They've proven to play fast and loose with the truth in the past. That's relevant, too. I won't even get into Tonkin and the banana wars... More historical lies told to the American people to get us into wars. -

As I recall, 2 women were killed by cops, a cop died of a stroke (Sicknick), and 2 participants died of heart attacks. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/04/07/capitol-riot-deaths-cause-death-released-4-5-not-sicknick/7128040002/ Regarding Roseanne Boyland, she died of an overdose just like George Floyd did... Check the videos, which were withheld from the public through the investigations. The cops beat the crap out of her. https://dallasexpress.com/featured/jan-6-capitol-police-allegedly-repeatedly-strike-unconscious-protester/
