After Trump’s NH win, Biden gets the opponent he wants
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
That's why even the Repubs are hoping the impeachment goes nowhere. Biden could be filmed walking across the White House lawn with a decapitated head in one hand and a bloody machete in the other, and they still wouldn't want to replace him with Kamala. -
Trump is dominating the primaries. That doesn’t mean he’ll beat Biden

I'll answer that one after 45+ years in the oilfield. We always had a huge inventory of leases that weren't going to get drilled until the price of oil went up enough to justify the investment. Maybe never. It costs very little to maintain an idle lease. And leases get bought and sold and traded just like any commodity. I have a nephew whose company does that. Never produced a drop of oil, just buying and selling leases. And he's loaded... So having a bunch of leases doesn't mean you have a bunch of viable drilling locations. -

Do you think that's been the Elites' plan all along? I'm genuinely curious, because I can't follow Euro politics. Too convoluted for me. Makes no sense to my tiny little pinhead. -

It was a link to Cracked. I figured the joke would be obvious. Focus on the joke and forgot this one? Trump was right: 'Russian collusion' was a hoax. Good luck regaining public's trust. https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/columnist/2023/05/17/durham-report-vindicates-trump-fbi-russia-investigation/70222344007/ Before the 2020 election, you could scour the interweb all you want and the only place you'd have found this truth is on right wing sites that apparently are not acceptable links here. The same holds true of the laptop story. The MSM was all over the Russian collusion story and "debunking" of the laptop. We're already seeing, and will see more of the same phenomena in the leadup to the 2024 election. Lefties on here have no idea how much easier it is to find links to support even their most wingnut stuff, with 10x as many journalists claiming to be Dems as Repubs. Stuff like "the border is secure". And "Repubs are the ones who are letting millions cross the southern border". And "Biden is fit as a fiddle" -

I must be a bad man. Because every time I read about Germany's economic woes brought on by high energy prices, I remember how they dissed the Bad Orange Man for suggesting they didn't want to depend too much on Russia for their gas. And I just can't help but smile. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/trump-scolded-germany-for-buying-gas-from-russia-heres-what-we-know Back on topic, anyone know the amount and balance of trade between Thailand and Germany? -

He sure didn't talk them out of attacking. Like the Bad Orange Man did. Sometimes it's good that your adversaries think your guy is hard to predict. Maybe even a little crazy... Like a fox. -

So don't look at Trump. Look at 4 years when Russians and Ukrainians weren't killing the heck out of each other, neither were the Israelis and Palestinians. Illegal immigration was a net negative the last year, after he got it under control. Then look at the world situation today... -

Stop your lying. Toughest job in DC right now is the one in charge of closed captioning Biden's speeches. -

Come back when you find out how many "undeclared" voters are really closet Dems, who would have voted for Biden had the DNC not given them the finger. And how many are closet Repubs that just don't want their liberal neighbors to know. And how many are truly independents. -
I guess the difference between Oz and the USA is that the indigenous people are truly the indigenous people. In the USA, the indigenous people took the land from the people before them, who took the land from the people before them, and so on. So deciding who to pay reparations to is problematic...

I like the BYD's, especially for the price. I'm more likely to buy one of them than a Tesla. But I'm a cheap buzzard. Let's see how they hold up over a few years' time and a few tens of thousands of km. The ones that really intrigue me are the Wuling's that sell for about $5,000 in China here. They're so ugly they're cute. Horrible range of about 100 miles. 2 doors and tiny. Perfect for an in-town car where space is scarce. But I doubt they'd pass highway crash tests... Still, if I could buy one in the states, they'd be perfect for my daily 20 mile round trips to the store and back, where I never get close to highway speeds.

Where's that? Not doubting you, just curious where that's happening. The fact that I see so many Teslas in China, where Chinese EVs are so much cheaper indicates to me that there's a market for a premium product, even at a higher price. "Premium" could mean better quality, or just more status. Tesla delivers that. GM and Ford don't.

New Hampshire results were skewed by the DNC decision not to accept any delegates from the NH primary. That freed up thousands (tens of thousands?) of undeclared votes that normally would have been cast in the Dem primary. Instead of wasting their vote on the Dem of their choice, they voted against the Repub they hated. That's why, in a Blue state, around 120,000 votes were cast wasted in the Dem primary while over 315,000 votes were cast in the Repub primary. And 70% of Trump voters were registered Repubs while 70% of Haley voters were registered undeclared. Some of them were independents, but a lot of them were closet Dems, just voting against Trump. -

And thank God for that, because the deal currently being "tanked" calls for allowing 5,000 illegals in a day. That's 1.8 million a year, not counting those that sneak in unhindered when that 5,000 is reached. https://dailycaller.com/2024/01/24/senate-republican-josh-hawley-mike-lee-ted-cruz-border-deal-leak-proposal/ Of course, it's still a work in progress and there may be even worse things. And the right is concerned that it will be proposed on a Tuesday, 500 pages thick, and brought up for a vote on Thursday... -

When I was a kid, teachers and teachers' unions were well respected. After their stunts during Covid and the leftist indoctrination of kids in school, not so much. They may all vote for Biden, though I doubt it because there are still some conservative teachers. But their endorsement is no longer meaningful to other voters like it would have been 20 years ago.

In 10 BKK arrivals over the past year, visa exempt, I've never been asked any of those questions. Just a stamp, a smile, and on my way. Less than a minute. Fingers crossed, usually after waiting less than 5 minutes in the queue, if there was one. Several times, I walked right up to the IO. Edit: I'd add, that's in the cattle class queues. -

Did he claim registered Dems can vote in the Repub primary? Or just closet Dems, registered as undeclared? Or did he just say "Democrats"? Frankly, if registering as undeclared allows me to choose which primary I vote in on the day, I don't know why anyone would register otherwise. Unless it's for the bumper sticker they send you... Because I'm sure not going to attend their meetings. Most voters won't. -
Interesting tidbit from a previous case Ms Willis was removed from for conflict of interest: “If Ms. Willis and Mr. Wade are dismissed by Judge McAfee, it will be up to a state agency, the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, to appoint a prosecutor to take over from Ms. Willis,” Cunningham wrote. “And that’s where things could really go off the rails. Take one precedent: On July 25, 2022, Ms. Willis was disqualified from prosecuting Burt Jones, who was then a state senator, after she hosted a fund-raiser for Mr. Jones’s eventual opponent in the race for lieutenant governor. Eighteen months later, the PACGA still hasn’t appointed a special prosecutor, and Mr. Jones, now lieutenant governor, has not even been indicted.” “Delay is not even the worst possible outcome for the case if Ms. Willis is disqualified,” Cunningham continued. “A special prosecutor could decide to reduce or dismiss charges against some or all of the defendants, including Mr. Trump.” https://dailycaller.com/2024/01/24/legal-ethics-expert-calls-fani-willis-step-aside-trump-case/ Looks like prosecuting Trump is probably not going to happen before the election.

I'm sure that even a mental midget, given the 7 months between February and October, could brain through the thought that "I can't cast a meaningful vote for my guy, but I can vote against that guy I hate". Even if they read a lot of books. I do believe most Dems are capable of walking and chewing gum. Multi-tasking is what I think the kids call it. Edit: Who knows, maybe they worked it out at their book club meetings. -

So your contention is that Dem voters aren't very smart? And can't plan even one move ahead?
