  1. So? You're nitpicking. The salient part is the 2x increase between 2023 and 2024. Vaccine hesitancy doesn't work that fast. Immigration does, if you recall your history.
  2. It's no secret that I, like most Americans, am against unvetted illegal immigration. If you're expecting some remorse for that, good luck. Why is it that the same liberal western apologists who constantly screech that Euro migration wiped out indigenous populations can't wrap their heads around the idea that maybe the increase in diseases today is related to immigration in the other direction? They seem to be forgetting reports like this: Measles Outbreak Associated with a Migrant Shelter — Chicago, Illinois, February–May 2024 Fifty-seven measles cases were associated with residence in or contact with persons in a migrant shelter in Chicago, Illinois. Measles Outbreak Associated with a Migrant Shelter — Chicago, Illinois, February–May 2024 | MMWR https://www.cdc.gov/
  3. I linked to WHO numbers, which apparently include parts of Europe outside the EU. If you don't like their statistics, take it up with WHO.
  4. I gave you the links above. Twice. But lefties want it spoon fed to them by the MSM, instead of looking at the numbers and doing a little math with their own brain.
  5. What's the variable in the equation? Mennonites have always had "vaccine hesitancy". The variable is how many unvetted "newcomers" they're exposed to after the Biden open borders. Same with Europe. They had 2x as many cases in 2024 as 2023. Vaccine hesitancy doesn't explain that because most Europeans were either vaccinated or not. In any given year, about 2% of the population is even scheduled to get the vaccine. The variable is the number of unvetted asylum seekers.
  6. It's even worse per capita. Canada and the UK have a much smaller population than the USA and yet, more cases. Europe has marginally more people, but 50-100 times as many cases.
  7. For what? She came into his condo, and she was so afraid of the guy that she took a ride home from him instead of running away and flagging down a taxi.
  8. Canada and the UK numbers are in the OP. Other countries are also facing similar challenges. The UK recorded its highest number of confirmed measles cases since 2012 last year, totaling nearly 3,000, while 529 new cases have been reported in England in 2025 alone. In Canada, over 3,000 cases have been documented this year, with the provinces of Ontario and Alberta hardest hit. I posted the link to the Euro numbers from the WHO in my post above. But here it is again for the folks that don't read before they post: According to an analysis by WHO and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), 127 350 measles cases were reported in the European Region for 2024, double the number of cases reported for 2023 and the highest number since 1997. European Region reports highest number of measles cases in more than 25 years – UNICEF, WHO/Europe https://www.who.int/
  9. The USA is doing better than Canada, the UK and Europe. They're all having measles caseloads orders of magnitude higher than the USA. Europe had over 127,000 in 2024. How do you 'splain that? Perhaps it's because Europe is also seeing unprecedented migration?
  10. They can blame vaccine hesitancy. But that hasn't changed in, for example, the Mennonite community. What has changed is their odds of being exposed to 3rd world "newcomers" who came across the border unvetted. I'd add that Europe has had over 127,000 cases in 2024 in case anyone wants to blame RFK, Jr and the Bad Orange Man. That's double the 2023 numbers. According to an analysis by WHO and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), 127 350 measles cases were reported in the European Region for 2024, double the number of cases reported for 2023 and the highest number since 1997. European Region reports highest number of measles cases in more than 25 years – UNICEF, WHO/Europe https://www.who.int/
  11. So the guy's a pig. But how did she go from the carpark to inside his condo? And why did she get back in his car and not flag down a taxi? There's something missing from the story.
  12. Wine is duty free, cars 30-50%. It's more insidious than that. Here's a basic primer for how it's calculated: (Source: Asia Business Assembly) So a 700K baht car (CIF) will cost over 2 million baht when it lands in Thailand. Then the dealer needs to add a markup... Depending on variables like engine size, etc. that number does vary, and there are some special rates for EV's from "up North". https://asiabusinessassembly.com/en/imported-cars-in-thailand/ So a $100K Corvette would land at a cost of about $300K.
  13. I hope they brought him a fresh pair of undies. I'd have code brown'ed, stuck in a cab with leaking gas cylinders all around. Drunk or sober.
  14. I think you'd be surprised how many Thai people would buy Corvettes, Mustangs, Chargers and F250's if they weren't tariffed to death.
  15. But you can get a permit to hunt and trap them in Florida. (In season, of course- Aug15-Nov8 in 2025). And they're delicious. Edit: I should mention that the number of permits is limited, and issued by lottery.
  16. Says who? (I mean, besides random internet whackjobs.) Anyone who can read numbers and know what they mean: Almost a $trillion annual trade deficit isn't sustainable.
  17. Liz isn't a lefty. She's a Neocon war monger with the syndrome. She's a chip off the old block. I paid attention, and I was never a Trump fan. Often referred to him as a "despicable human being". His first term changed my mind and Obama and then Biden were so bad... Then DEI Harris became the Great Dem Hope. Talk about an "own goal".
  18. The far left in the DNC keep misreading their constituents, who are telling them to give up ICE violence, MS13 and dudes in chick sports. They're calling for even more violence and insanity, thinking they're losing because they haven't been crazy enough.
  19. You mean, rules have to be applied for others but not for you? I'll live with the same rules. And as a bonus, I won't need to pay for an extra storage shed to keep all my imported crap that I upgrade from. I'll just have to get by with the 65 incher.
  20. It hurts me to even look at them. She's got nice eyes. Must have been a looker before "that".
  21. Lots of countries have become dependent on decades of US largess. It's going to take awhile to convince them the gravy train is over. And many are going to scream like a baby that's been denied their ice cream cone. You think this is sustainable? A lot of Americans need to be shaken awake, too. It's gonna suck, but the addiction to cheap stuff from overseas needs to be broken. Best done by a guy in his second of 2 terms... I'm as guilty as anybody, buying a 65" big screen because they've become affordable, when my 50" was perfectly adequate. Keeping in mind I grew up when a 20" screen was considered a luxury.
  22. 2% of the tourists and 90% of the tips.
  23. You can now buy a right-hand drive Chevrolet Corvette Stingray courtesy of a company called Lumen Automotive, and it costs less than £95,000. Right-hand drive Corvette available to buy in the UK All-out American muscle car costs less than £95,000 6.2-litre V8 engine with 475hp Head-turning exterior design Quicker to 60mph than a BMW M4 Competition https://www.carwow.co.uk/news/8146/right-hand-drive-chevrolet-corvette-stingray-on-sale-now Edit: £95,000. That's why the UK will get reasonable tariff terms. Thailand, not so much... A new 'Vette in Thailand is probably $400K if you can find one.
  24. Adults in the room would rather they be done right, than to be done fast. You can't fix decades of bad trade policy in 6 months.
  25. Some of us still hold out hope that there are good people left in gub'ment that have preserved some of the JFK, MLK, RFK, Epstein (et al) evidence.
