Agreed. Plus, Rogan asks real questions, not got'cha questions. Then he lets his guests talk, unscripted. Which is right up JD Vance's alley, but not Harris's. I've watched a few JD Vance long form interviews, and he impresses me each time. Even on issues where we disagree. Harris should send Walz to do the Rogan thing. He'd do fine. She'd be a disaster.

Election year "statistics" remind me of going on a first date, holding in my farts and not telling any dirty jokes about Puerto Ricans. Sooner or later, they'll have to top up the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, put all the unemployed newcomers in the labor pool and still adjust the monthly job numbers down for the 18th time in the cycle, and report the real violent crime rate. And the stock market is 90% owned by 10% of Americans. And don't forget the prospect of WW3 in Europe and/or the Middle East...

Conservative talk show host (and avid Trump supporter) Jon Stewart just weighed in: Stewart pointed out Hinchcliffe was “really just doing what he does,” before playing a video of the comic making several hilarious edgy jokes at the roast of NFL legend Tom Brady where he made fun of Jews, Nazis and blacks. “Yes, yes of course. Terrible. Boo,” Stewart sarcastically said in response to the offensive material, adding, “There’s something wrong with me. I find that guy very funny, so I’m sorry. I don’t know what to tell ya.” Next, Stewart took aim at Kamala Harris, saying that bringing Hinchcliffe to a rally and having him “not do roast jokes” would be “like bringing Beyoncé to a rally and not having… Oh.” Can you say "Fake outrage"?

That's rich, coming on a Thai Expat forum. Where the silly brown people are daily punched down for trash, for safety, for efficiency, for education, for driving skill, for... for...

Don't ever run for office. 'Specially in a Blue area. I grew up in a Russkie/Polish area of Chicago, and we loved Pollack and Russkie jokes. My grandfather from the old country had the best ones. Life is dark and hard if you can't laugh at yourself and your own culture.

It's an old winter camping trick to get enough calories to stay warm. Besides, butter makes almost everything better. (As long as it's hot enough to melt the butter)

There's half a dozen significant MSM sources that are declining to endorse anyone this cycle. Bezos claims it's a principled decision to regain the trust of the public by appearing impartial. We'll see. Perhaps the MSM is reading the tea leaves and snapping to the fact that they'll be out of business if they don't regain the trust of the other half of the voters. And credibility with the half that vote Dem, who aren't as stupid as the Dem Elite think they are. There' are just too many alternative sources on the interwebs. Or maybe it's a smokescreen, and they'll keep telling us the border is secure, the jabs are safe and effective, masks are an expression of love, there's no evidence of cheating, and Trump is Hitler. But we're not endorsing anyone... USA Today WaPo LA Times Chicago Tribune Detroit Free Press MN Star Tribune

Facial Recognition to Replace Boarding Passes at Six Thai Airports
impulse replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I've been flying out of BKK each of the past 19 months and the face scanners have been installed for awhile at various chokepoints. All they have to do is turn them on and try them out. -
Facial Recognition to Replace Boarding Passes at Six Thai Airports
impulse replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And that's the key. The title is wrong. They're augmenting the boarding passes. Not replacing them. You still need a piece of paper to show the flight attendant if there's any seating faux pas, and to attach your luggage tag. Until they can guaranty that everyone has a smartphone and the battery hasn't died during the long trip. -
From Bezos himself: I would also like to be clear that no quid pro quo of any kind is at work here. Neither campaign nor candidate was consulted or informed at any level or in any way about this decision. It was made entirely internally. Dave Limp, the chief executive of one of my companies, Blue Origin, met with former president Donald Trump on the day of our announcement. I sighed when I found out, because I knew it would provide ammunition to those who would like to frame this as anything other than a principled decision. I'll let you Google the quoted above for the rest of his editorial... (WaPo is blocked here) It's an interesting discussion of the loss of credibility on the part of the MSM. I found it on an unapproved source, quoted in its entirety. I'm just quoting a snippet, to stay in bounds.

What if that's all they have left?

Especially if you don't want them sticking your luggage tag and your seat assignment on your forehead. -

How do I know where to sit on the plane if I don't have a boarding pass? And if I sit in the wrong seat (has happened), how do the flight attendants straighten out the mess?- 164 replies

Hua Hin Hotel Manager Fired After Dispute Over Customer Review
impulse replied to webfact's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
I think it's just as likely they didn't fire anyone, but just said they did. Who would know? -
That's not a measure of anything. They get approached by publishers offering to write a book for them using a ghost writer, then simply whack their name on it, and then they get a big up-front royalty payment. Nobody turns down those offers. Trump did it himself over 40 years ago! Of course it is. Part of any book deal is to promote the book. Which is done by making headlines.

Clinton likened it to a NAZI rally,Iconic Dr. Phil brings the Receipts
impulse replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
They awarded her over 40x as much for the mean words, than for the alleged assault. That she didn't even remember what year it happened. $2 million for the alleged assault and over $85 million for the mean words. And women's groups stayed quiet, as long as they "got Trump". -
She's going to Hollywood, where she's adored and where her amazing skills at reading scripted lines can be best put to use: Edit: Who knows? They may even get Clooney back to play Batman...

They don't care. The only thing they care about is staying in power, no matter the damage to the country.

She'd fit right in as an MSNBC "Journalist".
