Thanks for your help, I'm sure i've got a different box and remote to you and its a real problem with Truevisions keep changing these items. I can't access anything like what you are saying but the good news is i had the engineer around yesterday for 2 hours trying to sort it out and eventually he succeeded by eventually using another new box and constantly contacting his dept on the phone. Now here's the anomaly the engineer asked to look/operate my other old box upstairs which we duly did and as per the last few years of use my old box has English on channel 600 English Premier League but on the new box its Thai and it can't be changed, this confirmed to him what i have been saying, its an absolute FU !!!!!!!!!! He stated he could'nt do anything else to ensure English on the new box but i checked all the channels i regularly use and i have English other than channel 600 but no probs cos channel 602 is a repeat of channel 600 and its in English. Why oh why Truevisions insist on keep changing these boxes and remotes is beyond me but i think i know the reason why.............. THE COST TO THEM and they are looking for the cheapest option.

Great post once again, yes indeed i will keep you informed. I take my hat off to you in dealing with your problem having to use a catheter twice a day, that must be difficult to deal with but as you say you get used to it. I've only used a catheter after my Turp for 7 days and i really did'nt have any problems, no real pain etc, it really did'nt bother me and i was very surprised at the fact that every morning the bag was full of urine and i'm deffo not peeing that amount of urine the 2 times each night so lots of urine retention. Yes indeed please send me a PM with the details for me to obtain the tablets as i really don't want any infections to add to my problem. Great to hear you have a Doc in NZ looking out for you, i wish i had in the UK. And the very best to you Sir.

Well i tried the menu button and found ''language'', it was set to English and i reconfirmed and exited. Then checked channels and its still in Thai. I'm gonna get the engineer round and he can do with me avidly watching what he's doing.

I had a new Truevisions box fitted yesterday and low and behold the music channels have disappeared, i tried all channels using the remote with no success. I am a daily user/listener to the Rock Channel No 708 so i'm really not happy. I will be contacting Truevisions this morning to find out what is going on, it will require a visit to their branch in my local Lotus as calling their 1242 number reaps no success. They really are becoming a POS imo.

I had a new Truevisions box installed yesterday which i have to say appears to be far short of the quality of the previous box and remote. Well after the True engineer left low and behold i started getting problems and ended up taking out the power/hdmi leads as instructed, problem solved but its now NOT in English language but Thai. I have no question mark on the remote but do have a menu button, i'll try that but from memory i'm not expecting any success, i'll report back.

Well my urination frequency has increased to 5/6 times a day but remained at a couple of times a night but i am constantly concerned regarding infections as i'm only peeing small amounts so my bladder never gets anywhere near emptying. I think i might start taking the tablets you mention as a safeguard. At the end of the day i believe i will have to undergo another procedure and am thinking of trying Dr Suntchai at Bangkok Nursing Home Hospital as they/he do carry out 4 different procedures rather than my local private hospital or any hospital in Korat as they only do the Turp. My Turp was not a success as a friend here in Korat who had the Turp with the same urologist is pissing like a horse. I have lost all confidence in this urologist and the Turp procedure as he has never given me despite my questioning a satisfactory explanation, he just replies like a politician when questioned. I have now obtained a copy of my medical records of the procedure to take to Dr Suntchai at BNH for his perusal (records are obviously in Thai) I am all geared up for any emergency appointment to Dr Suntchai, i have a driver ready at anytime of the day or night but might have to visit a urologist locally first if i can't pee to put a catheter in before my Bangkok journey. God getting old sucks. PS - What MG are you taking for the Hiprex or Uramet tablets ?

Yes indeed there are but you have to use Truevisions TV to watch the EPL trouble free. I've had both for years now but never watch the EPL on anything other than Truevisions where the service is completely trouble free. I only use HDPrime for watching the Sky News channels/UK TV channels and the sports channels that are not available on Truevisions which is not many. I have to say HDPrime is getting pretty unreliable of late, some days its good and some days its not. Wizz TV i'm told is a better alternative but i'm not happy paying for the service 1 year in advance, they could be here today and gone tomorrow.

If anyone can recco an experienced good doc who operates effectively as a GP in Korat i would appreciate, SUT Hospital preferably but St Marys private hospital would be ok.

I'm finished with Bangkok Hospitals, way too many negatives for me.

Thank you for your reply post @Sheryl I have become disappointed with my experiences here in Korat over the years, i have seen many doctors in private and government hospitals who appear to lack knowledge and experience in dealing with my health complaints not too mention their lack of English speaking and understanding, getting to see the right doctor has become a real challenge. The only time i have felt comfortable is when i was blessed along with many other farangs with an American doctor working in a University government hospital but he moved to another province, good luck to him. Is there an answer to my problem ?

Yes indeed but my licence runs out on my birthday so if i don't renew until after i am driving without a current licence and my insurance would be invalid. Best course of action is to NOT drive until you have renewed imo.

As the topic title says.......... Do they have ? do they train doctors to become GP's ? What to do/say when you visit a hospital with a health problem ? How do you ensure you are seeing the correct doctor for your complaint ? Your knowledge and experiences would be welcome, thanks in anticipation.

Saw the doc yesterday and he recco'd i try Zanidip 10mg (Lercanidipine) so thats what i am now taking. Hopefully i won't get the ankle/feet swelling. Only downside was the cost at 850bht for 30 tablets but that was from the private hospital, no doubt my usual supplier of medication Siam Pharmacy will be cheaper.

I'm currently using Amlodipine and its doing a good job with my BP but i'm getting severe ankle and foot swelling. I'm thinking of trying something else and following your suggestion am thinking of trying Losartan (CAZAAR) 50mg, i assume its available in Thailand. What do you think Sheryl ?

Well i did just that, just because your passport is replaced with a new one does'nt mean your visa/90 day is cancelled imo.

Yes i have the same problem, hopefully HDPrime will do what's necessary to correct the issue. If not then i understand that WizzTv is an alternative.

I've seen posts on forums saying that they are SCAMS !!!
