  1. Mine does and i just take any monthly pension pay advice which my private pension provider provides me with, no problem.
  2. and pray tell me how you can take out the 800K from your Thai bank account when its being used to meet the extension requirements ?
  3. I have had zero problems with complying to the monthly income requirements either with Bangkok bank or my IO for as long as it has been necessary.
  4. Good point but they would'nt have been buying baht for their extensions so not really relevant to this current situation.
  5. and that is exactly what i do and i have no problems getting my extension. Having spent most of my working life in financial services i'm always looking for the best returns on my money and depositing 800K in a Thai bank to obtain my extensions is just a no brainer for me what with the deposit interest rate currently available in the UK. But of course if you're a millionaire i quite understand BM's could'nt GAF attitude lol
  6. I pose this question guys cos i'm seeing UK bank deposit interest rates up to as much as 7% when the interest here in Thailand is no more than 2% so i believe. It does'nt make any financial sense to me other than if you don't have 65K monthly income. Now i appreciate if you don't have the 800K or the 65K monthly income you're f***** and have to use an agent or a helpful IO Any thoughts/comments guys ?
  7. Are you sure about that ? i'm sure i read that the UK government have recently extended the 15 years.
  8. Well i've just read the link you provided and it only refers to EU countries and the ramifications of Brexit but i appreciate UK banks may have decided to take the same closure opportunity to accounts held in other countries.
  9. I say that cos i can't see any earth rod anywhere around the house like i used to see on my UK houses, is it possible i could have one that i can't see ?
  10. WTF is going on here ? i replied to a post in a different thread to this thread and hey presto it gets posted in the wrong thread ????
  11. That may very well be the case but i get all my meds from Siam pharmacy and i've never had a problem with availability. Their pricing is comparable to the government university hospital that i use.
  12. Interesting, my showers are relatively new (2 years old) and recently i got a tingle when i switched on. I immediatley switched it off and tried it again later, no problem.
  13. Thankyou, i'll get PEA to come round to my gaff and check, i know for a fact i don't have an earth rod.
  14. Can somebody please tell me what an RCBO is ? PS - If you want your helicopters engine replaced or a business plan drawn up then i'm your man, get my drift lol
  15. But THESE PEOPLE as you kindly put it are not ALL electricians and have little or no knowledge of how a house should be wired me included. I bought a new house in 2007 from a very large local builder and trusted that they would do the job properly, i knew no different after living in Thailand for 3 months. Thats why in my home country the UK has proper regulations to ensure that new build houses are built to the required standard to protect the inhabitants from such things as electrocution. If Thailand's does'nt have the required regulations and ENFORCE them then THEY should accept responsibility for any such deaths imo Just sayin like lol PS - Having lived here for 17 years now i am fully aware of Thailands shortcomings but still get surprised EVERY DAY.
  16. and in respect of private hospitals pay their ridiculous rip off prices, i'm done with being ripped off by private hospitals they can FO, i now only use government hospitals.
  17. The parents along with their daughter can just FO AFAIC, how ridiculous.......
