  1. From down under. Trust me, it's not pretty. 🥺
  2. Natural psyllium husk (powdered or whole) is the best thing. 6-7 grams taken 3 times per day with two glasses of water each time. Will keep you regular without any discomfort to the system. No need for invasive colon cleanses. You should be able to move things naturally 1-2 times a day with psyllium and will keep your colon well cleansed. Key is never take more than 7 grams at a time, consume enough water each time, and spread out the 3 doses throughout the day. This will avoid clogging and discomfort. Lots of sellers on Lazada offering psyllium husk. Price averages out to about 300 Baht for 500 grams. I often mix the powdered and the whole together for a blend. Avoid all of the ones that mix flavor or sweeteners in. Unnecessary fillers and chemicals. Just buy the pure natural stuff. You will get used to the bland taste. You can also add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and a dash of natural stevia leaf powder to it each time you mix it with water and this will add some health benefit and a mix of sweet and sour to improve the taste. Natural green stevia leaf powder is also very inexpensive on Lazada.
  3. As long as you bring a crane and a backhoe to scoop it all up then you should probably be fine.
  4. Fur burgers are by far the best burgers in Bangkok. You can find one almost anywhere. Trump Burgers and Biden Burgers are both Nothing Burgers and are best avoided.
  5. I got 3 more strains from my friend to try. Sherbet Queen, Fat Banana and Cookies Gelato. So far I have only tried the Sherbet Queen and Fat Banana. Really strong terps once I broke up a bud on both, but the weed was really quite dry and no resin to the touch on either one. All their weed seems quite fresh, so not sure why some of their stuff has over dryness issues. Maybe it is their drying and/or curing methods that is causing such dryness. I vaped half a gram within a short period of time on the Sherbet Queen. I got a pleasant and light buzz, but I couldn't get a really solid lock in place, thus I gave up. Maybe if I vaped more it would have had a stronger effect, but I can normally get zooted on a quarter gram (or less) of anything from my usual source, so I shouldn't need to use more than half a gram to get a strong buzz from anything. I read on allbud.com and leafly.com that this Sherbet Queen strain often has 22%-24% THC, but I think if this stuff was really at least 20% THC that I should have been feeling it more. So I assume the THC on this one is quite low. The Fat Banana was definitely stronger than the Sherbet Queen and I only vaped a quarter gram of that one before I was feeling it pretty well. But I had already vaped some of my regular supply earlier in the evening, so I was still a bit buzzed from that, and the buzz from Fat Banana itself gave me an instant headache for some reason. I may try Fat Banana again another day on its own to see if the feeling is the same or different than the first time, but I'm not that keen on the the skunky smell of the Fat Banana or the headache it gave me. I don't want to sound negative or critical about this weed source (because I know many people really like these 30 Baht strains they are offering which are well priced and apparently are all grown with seeds from Royal Queen Seeds), but, so far, 2 out of the 4 I tried didn't nail me to the couch and I'm no longer that keen to continue the experiment. Maybe, eventually, I'll try the Cookies Gelato I got from my friend, but it's back to my reliable main supply for now. I also don't consider myself someone with a high tolerance, although it might have increased a bit more recently. But if you aren't pretty well baked after consuming half a gram of something (within half an hour) then more likely it's the gear that's the issue and it's not really a high tolerance problem.
  6. Yes. That is a problem with the card networks like Visa and Mastercard insisting on taking a fee from small vendors if they accept debit card payments. TBH, I don't think credit card companies should charge the same fees to vendors on debit card payments as they do on credit card payments, but that's a separate issue.
  7. Here is the flip side to your case. Although payment apps like True Money, LINE Pay, and the few others in Thailand waste a lot of extra and unnecessary time, smartphone digital wallets are a huge time saver and are faster than paying in cash. With my phone's wallet, I can pay and be gone faster than you can get the cash out of your wallet. Like you, I often get annoyed when someone is fumbling through their wallet pulling out bills or counting coins when trying to pay the exact amount in cash. I started using my phone's digital wallet since the appearance of Covid as a way to stop touching all the filthy bank notes and coins that everyone passes around, which are also considered to be a possible spreader of viruses and bacteria. Now I have all my debit and credit cards loaded in my phone and all I need to do is move my phone close to any contactless credit/debit card reader to pay for things. So I can just pay contactless at all 7-11, hypermarts, supermarkets, department stores, restaurants, etc. No cash, no apps, no QR code scanning, no online banking apps, none of that. I can also go anywhere without a physical wallet now. So no cash and no wallet needed when I go outside, just my phone. Hygienic, fast, less stuff to carry around, and I have a record and payment evidence of all the money I spent, where and when, whenever I might need it. When you go to Europe, and even countries in Asia like Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and S. Korea where people now mainly pay contactless using their phone's digital wallet, you notice the big difference in speed. Payment transactions move much faster than in Thailand because they don't use cash, payment apps, or QR codes. Such a time saver. I wish everyone would do the same already. The problem in Thailand though is that none of the bank debit cards, and only BBL and KTC credit cards, can be added to smartphone digital wallets. So it really limits the Thai population from moving away from those cr*appy payment apps and moving over to using fast, contactless payment wallets whenever they want to pay without using cash. So until Thailand moves forward on this technology, you will continue to see people in Thailand fumbling with apps that don't load and waiting for QR payment codes to be generated. Some businesses in Thailand also don't want to pay fees when someone uses a debit card to pay. So you have all this scanning of QR codes into online banking apps to make instant cash payments like a debit card, but without resulting in any transaction fees to the vendor. Another slow and antiquated payment method, which hopefully goes away one day too.
  8. Thank you for the additional info on seeds and popcorn buds. Have you ever heard of anyone having respiratory issues with myco/mold from consuming cannabis in Thailand? With regards to people just hunting for high THC percentages, I realize that not everyone is looking for the same thing. If you are a grower and/or connoisseur, or somebody who is really into the whole weed thing (like say somebody who likes to sip brandy and is not trying to get buzzed) then you may not be so concerned about THC. In those instances you might be more interested in the subtle nuances of the different strains, their terps, texture, color, smell, etc, more so than the THC content. But for somebody like me, the higher the THC the better. It's a practical matter. Smoking and the heat of vaping both irritate my throat a bit. Vaping is far less bother to my throat than smoking. But, still, the less I have to vape then the better. If the THC content is higher, then that means I have to consume less to feel the high for a few hours. To me I see that as a positive. The other thing is that the vaping part of it is about a two minute portion of the whole experience, and, to me, what is to come afterwards is the longer and more important part. If the weed doesn't smell great, taste great, etc., but I only have to consume it for a minute or two, and then for the next three hours I feel great, then I don't really care too much about the subtle nuances while vaping. Sure, if it gets you really high and it looks great, tastes great, smells great, and all that too then no complaints. But if it's just high in THC then I would go for that hands down. To each his own of course, but that's my own approach. In this thread, a lot of people are just chasing cheap weed with a strong kick because they're trying to get the most bang for the buck. I understand that. But in my case, it's about consumption issues rather than cost so much when looking for high THC. That's why I will probably stick mainly with the higher priced weed I usually use.
  9. Alter Bridge was basically Creed, but without the singer Stapp, who they then swapped for Miles Kennedy. Miles not only sang for them, but also played rhythm guitar. Then, in 2009, they took Stapp back, Kennedy was out, and they changed the name back to Creed. Sort of a weird 5 year transition. Kind of reminds me of how the Red Hot Chili Peppers got rid of the guitarist, got a new one and moved on, and then eventually took back the old guitarist and just carried on. It seems the issue there though was drug related and there was no change to the band's name during the interim. Stapp is important to the original Creed sound, but Miles Kennedy is such a superior musician. The other 3 Creed band members would've been better off to stay in the new band IMHO. Seems like going back to Creed was a step backwards for them in terms of future musical potential.
  10. That's interesting. So the smaller popcorn buds from the same plant will always have lower THC levels, or not necessarily? Right, I don't take the THC numbers given as being correct. Hopefully they are somewhat within range. And if you try a bit of it before buying a decent quantity, then you will know pretty quickly if it's high THC or low THC bud. I haven't heard of anyone ever getting harmed by a mycotoxins from weed and mold or insecticides I don't worry much about. The air we breathe is filled with toxins, bacteria, and viruses. Mold too I assume. So is the food we eat. Especially in an hot humid country in the tropics. Anyway, I only vape, so I worry less about contaminants than if I were breathing in actual combusted particles from smoking and burning the weed. Back to my original question though, it sounds like just starting with good quality seeds doesn't guarantee you a plant with high THC output. So if a seller claims to be using a certain strain of seed, which is known to have a high THC yield, but they are selling the weed for cheap, then I think one might assume they have tested it and know that it's lower in THC than what is usually expected from that strain. If they also get some higher yielding THC plants from the same group of seeds then they will likely price those particular buds higher. So between price and sampling, it should give you a pretty good idea of what the THC content is like and one can just continue to ignore the numbers.
  11. Interesting. Thanks. I didn't know Creed had that much success. They really only had that one big album titled Weathered, which they released in 2001 and they broke up in 2004 as you said. Then they released another album in 2009 with material mostly written when they wrote Weatherhead, which was a bit strange. But, by then, Scott Stapp had come back to rebuild some version of the band in 2009 and they stayed together after that for another 5-6 years more it seems. Here is Stapp back in the saddle in 2009. Not quite the vocalist he once was:
  12. I was curious about that Mother Gorilla strain I tried and so I started digging a bit more into it. The seller states it has 23% THC. It also states it was grown with Royal Queen Seeds. So I went onto the Royal Queen Seeds website and they say it can have THC up to 30%. Then I looked up the strain on Leafy.com and they are saying it's an 18% THC strain, which I take to be a better and unbiased source of info on strains. Based on my own experience trying it though, if I had to guess, I would say it's probably somewhere between 10%-20%. Let's call it 15%. I wonder though if the THC level a grower ends up with has a lot to do with their own skills as a grower. Meaning, I wonder if one grower might get 30% and another grower only 15% out of the same exact seeds?
  13. any of them will gladly take her back as long as she comes a package with your ATM card included.
  14. Here we go, bobby-boy-the-tranny-getter is boasting again about being a Thai ladies man. Alas, now ingratiating the clubs with his stylish dressing, great looks, and suave words. Please tell, how do you even make it back out of the door of the clubs with all those hot women throwing their sticky panties in your face?🥵
  15. A modicum of 3 shucked trollops served neatly and straight up in a dollop and laid across the gear shifter with a smidgen of hair pie splashed across the nose for a sprinkle of added effervescence.
  16. Iced Oolong tea with a dash of milk and powdered natural stevia leaf.
  17. why does everything you post have to in some way reference your incessant infatuation with thai lady boys? 🤦🏻‍♂️
  18. Thank you all for your input. I appreciate it. Yes, this isn't a thread about big rock bands that made it. That's why I didn't mention bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, or even some of the most successful grunge rock bands like Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, or Soundgarden. To be honest, the three that I did mention; Creed, Dishwalla, and Candlebox, might be considered alternative rock rather than grunge rock, but I guess genre is partly subjective opinion too. Anyway, thinking about the synthesized rock/pop era, there were a few in that genre that should've gone further too. Bands like Depeche Mode, The Cure, and Yazoo made it big, but there was Bronski Beat, Soft Cell, and A Flock of Seagulls that seemingly could have made it bigger. One more I should have had in my original post is Bush. Another great grunge rock band that didn't really make it very far past their album Sixteen Stone, which was excellent.
  19. It's turned into a foonkin MELEE of whacko foreigners down there already. The place was great and unique in the early nineties. Now, forget it.
  20. There are so many of these crazy incidents occurring on Phuket now that they don't even phase me anymore. Another day, another nutter, just a typical day in Phuket now innit.
  21. There are a few rock bands from the grunge rock era that I feel should have ended up being bigger and more successful, but unfortunately they never made that leap. Below are the three that really stick in my mind most. Were there any other notable ones like them from that period, either grunge rock or regular rock?
  22. Hard not to assume the majority of the trouble makers aren't Russian based on recent events. The place has turned into an overpriced tourist wasteland for illegal enterprise and with many undesirables abound. Not the idyllic place it once was when I first went there over 30 years ago. Back then Patong was still mostly dirt roads and most of the adjoining tourist hotspots were still just sparse fishing villages.
  23. Last one for the road. A bit of a change up in musical styles. But love the drums and synthesized bass on this live performance:
  24. Thank you for the insights. I drank a bit when I was younger when we would go out to the bars and clubs. We drank whatever seemed like fun at the time. We ran the gauntlet from shi*ty Jäegermeister to quality single malts like Glenn Fiddich. But that was long ago. I agree that weed gets the heart racing a bit at times, but I don’t have any known heart issues and usually after the first 20 minutes it tappers off into a nice mellow cruise. I have only been using weed now for about 6 months. Something else I had done as a teen and stopped for decades. But coming back to it has had a very positive effect on overall attitude and mood. I only use it in the evenings to wind down the day. So I’m not hitting it all day like many of the young people tend to do.
