Thai-China high-speed rail set to boost ASEAN connectivity
Peterphuket replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
Totally agree that they are years behind in that but why does it always have to be the Chinese, for example the Japanese are the best in the world if you are talking about high-speed trains. -

And also that so-called Silk Road, which would be so good for trade from china far into europe...for transport for their own war materiel they will mean. -

That's exactly what I was thinking too, it goes on and on with those chinese, if you just look at how many ports they already own in europe. And recently it was in the news that the container cranes they supply around the world also have spying capabilities again, sooner or later we are <deleted>.- 109 replies

Fifteen Foreign Riders Arrested in Patong Breaking Traffic Rules
Peterphuket replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Once they are arrested and fined, it is unlikely that any brown envelopes will be issued. -
Talk about the Netherlands and was in the time with the guilder, before the Euro. The penny was the 'stuiver' and had a value of 5 cents. After the 'stuiver, was finished, Shell was afraid that they were short of money, after all you could fill up for 2 cents and since it was rounded you didn't have to pay that. But the government did not accept it so it was undone after a few months.

Russian Man Arrested for Drunk Driving in Patong
Peterphuket replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
I wonder, was he allowed to continue driving after paying the fine, after all that is also allowed if you don't have a helmet or a driving licence, for example. It's just one question, a lot is possible in TIT. -
Here another one, and even not a 'stupidfarang' I mention some time ago, at the time the penny was abolished, that was the only company that put 2 cents on the pump gauge without you having even filled up a drop. In the Netherlands, they have a refinery that also refines for other companies but still Shell's price is always the highest.

You say the Makro no longer has Gouda Cheese, but isn't it because of the same reason 'Dutchcheese4you' gives, namely because of transit problems in the Red Sea.

Removing shoes going into a shop- selective hygiene?
Peterphuket replied to Scouse123's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Because I am easily susceptible to infections, i always use socks. Luckily i never have to take off, when i have to go into a house or shop. And of course clean socks every day, problem solved. I visit the toilet at home as much as possible. -
Buying a 2nd hand car and converting to LPG
Peterphuket replied to JustAnotherFarang's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Think twice before you make a decision for LPG, although I also drove with LPG in Europe about 50 years ago, that was not entirely without problems. On the other hand, I also had my Ford Escape 6 cylinder converted to LPG, but that only caused bitter misery here in Thailand, I'll never do that again. -
Mentioned more than once but not available since long in the same coverage.

Rocky start for Thailand’s latest alcohol tax reform
Peterphuket replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
Despite the fact that not everyone can appreciate this wine, I am satisfied with it, this is the Mont Clair, for several years you could buy this wine for 1490 thb for 10 litres as opposed to today's 3 litre pack for 980 thb. The price of 149 thb/ltr I never expect to get back. -
Believe me, in Europe no Chineese or Indians but moslims, moslims and moslims. ....did I forget to say moslims?

In this case, it really wasn't a falang, more positive for us after all. -
Of course the Isuzu is for sale, I will sell anything if I get a good price for it. By the way, the Isuzu is 3 years old with less than 30k on the odometer.
-
I agree with you, as I mention above I owns a Ford escape but before that car it was a Honda CRV, and yes much comfortable. Only because they don't make diesels (for Thailand, in Europe they have) , i made the step over to Fortuner and Isuzu.
-
To be honestly to make it more easy for you to make a choice, I owns a Fortuner until 3 years ago, a nd before that a Ford Escape (which never again)because it was a bit lower in price that time I make choice for the Isuzu MUX 3 ltr. If I were to buy another new car now, I would still choose the Toyota Fortuner again. The Isuzu is noisier, the automatic transmission does not work smoothly, compared to the Fortuner, the suspension is also not what you would expect from it.

Speeding motorcycle crash in Chaiyaphum kills two teens
Peterphuket replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
If more control was exercised, it would reduce the likelihood of such accidents. But it seems the government does not care, if it did, the police would have checked for it long ago. -
Then he will have to call on Jesus, who can bring it back to life.
