Two posters, so far, with 20-20 hindsight. There will be many more, I'm sure.
Neither of them went on holiday and got drunk when they were young.
Maybe neither of them acted like an idiot. Not everyone has a low IQ.

Actually very hard to find shoe laces in Thailand. Took me a week in BKK. Best bet is to find a sidewalk shoe repair person. Usually they have a rack of laces. Stock up. I even went to shoe stores and they just shrugged....

His local pub will miss him.
Probably not as much as his son will. But never mind, you got your cheap shot in.
Too bad he didnt think of his son before killing himself with alcohol.

Drive in Thailand as if there is a bounty on your head and everyone knows it. Must drive 100% defensively and never assume anything. I have clocked 40,000km in Thailand without an accident but have had 500+ close calls.

Going to a bar that is decorated with self-promoting pictures of the owners is a bit sad. Thailand, land of narcissism.

I wonder if the failed English student could write a post that makes any sense?

Let me get this straight.... Overstaying a visa, or falsifying a visa s such is a crime. Right? People who commit crimes are called criminals...right? Countries that try to deport foreign criminals causes TV members to be outraged...right? ok.... Nope, still don't see the cause for TV member indignation. Unless they are criminals themselves.

Yet another example of how officials try to intimidate people who are engaging in free speech. There is no disclosure of medical information, other than by the court spokesperson.
OK, so she has a mental disorder, which in the video shows she is not able to control her emotions... But she's allowed to drive ???....
Not to mention allowed to stay employed as a judge (although potentially moved to an inactive post after several previous incidents.).

stay away from the golf club, some dodgy dudes there. Toffy home still active, bang opposite the main Isuzu dealership, just make sure you have your BS detector finely tuned.
Seriously. :"Hey! Lets move to Thailand and find a group of foreigners we can hang out with and complain about Thailand together".

The general opinion is Russian tourists act like uncontrolled animals, but jump in front of a speeding bike to shake down 200 baht is also not a good idea.

Sorry, Never take advice from poster who refers to himself in the 3rd person.

So far I have seen like 3 BST stations with lifts, then only if your on the right side of the road. My favorite is the ones with lifts to the turnstile level, but none up to the train platform. Awesome planning.

Charged with an 8 year old crime? As the Thai police do nothing without a profit, I wonder whose toes he stepped on and how?

Thailand, land of Darwinism. Accept it.

At my uni it is 7500 per semester, 3 semesters per year = 22,500 per year tuition fees for weekend students.
So a 4 year course would be a total of 90,000 Baht for tuition.
If there are no living expenses. Rent and food tends to drive up financial need.

It is basically, Thai people assume tourists are stupid, this includes taxi drivers. Anywhere you find tourists is a bad place to get decent taxi drivers. They assume tourists are dumb and easy with money so the MBK, Kaoson Road, or redlight districts are where the scammers lurk. Of course some also refuse fairs to go somewhere they dont know or are unlikely to get a return fair. Most taxi drivers will not admit they don't know where the are going so they will just refuse and shake their heads like retarded soi dogs. Sometimes, with the drivers new to BKK,it pays if they hesitate to tell them (in Thai if you can) that you will show them how to get to your destination...

Tamali ???
Sorry, but I don't understand your comment!?
Just ignore. Poor attempt at English translation of Thai expression and wrong usage anyway.

Is no one else going to mention that they showed the foreigners ( or aliens) in this very informative cartoon here as criminals traveling around the country and ripping people off with various scams and schemes in each location?
I guess because excessive overstay is a crime, they assume criminals do criminal things. Or are some people just "sort of" criminals?

I met a girl on a dating site. Sight unseen want to bring her to live with me in a strange place. She has such low standards she will move to a strange country to live with a man she never met. I dont speak her language or understand her culture. What could possibly go wrong???

Living well in Thailand is not for those who want it, but those who earned it. Unless mommy gives you her credit card, or you sold your dotcom, coming to Thailand with little and expecting everything to be easy and wonderful is not likely. The old geezer who wander around here like their the cock of the walk are as boring and cliche as hell, but at least they slaved for 40 years to bank money. I am always amazed by the 20-somethings (not addressing the OP specifically) who come with no skills, talents, or much brains and expect the country to fall at their feet because they are young and white....

In 6 years in Thailand I have only been cheated by foreigners. Now I refuse to even speak English when they approach.

Amazing that even with her name they don;t know who she is. And likely a high profile person. Thailand databases at their finest.

Death Island strikes again
Can someone put together a comprehensive timeline of all of the foreigner's deaths just on Koh Tao? You would think that for a small island the death of a visitor would be a very rare occasion, but here's another one.
Based on what. With (tens of) thousands of active people at any time seems to me the reported death rate is very low. Would expect several a year from accidents, heart attacks, illness, etc
Based on in the last 12-14 months there have been at least 7 mysterious farang deaths there (included the well publicized two). In the same period I lived in Chiang Rai there was not one mysterious death of a foreigner. Look at the populations and do the math. My favorite is the french man who :hung himself" with his hands tied behind his back.
What happened to the ozzie couple who tried to open a resort on an island 5 yrs ago

Likely they will wake up dead some day and the original residents can move back. I read an article in which they were very proud of how they screwed the residents and their service staff.
