Yeah that's the typical "Thai modification style".
Indeed way to busy and colorfull for most of us, but I like to see these kids working on there bikes , better then spend there money on whiskey and beer.

Nice bikes Omega . Your grandmothers saying is in Dutch pretty much the same as in German I think ( Wie het kleine niet eert is het grote niet weerd)
I like diversity as well, saving to add a big bike ( for longer trips) but will always keep loyal to my small bikes.
I hope I will get my Cafe TZR ready in time for that DG ride ( waiting for a servo-motor to arrive) and meet some other open minded riders.

Hope this thread keeps on for a bit. I'm hoping to join the super cub club soon. Just gotta get my ducks in a row first.
I agree. It shall stay as long as I have anything to do with it!
One thing I have noticed is that this topic hasn't attracted the know it all, downers that ruin most others. Touch wood. Small bikes are awesome and there is a massive interest in them in this part of the world that seems to never be represented on this forum. So to anyone else out there, who likes smaller bikes, feel free to post up what you've got/what you're working on. But I'll always be partial to the cubs.
This is a great thread indeed and let's hope it stays that way ( unlike on some other threads On TV lately)
I think this is what the bike forum should be , bike fans ( riders or not) sharing there passion with each other. Not bitching at each other. ;-)
Norman W thumbs up!! owning a Z1000 and still hang out with us, the smaller bike fans :-)
Here is a pic of my collection ( so far) TZR 150 Cafe Racer, TZM 150, NSR 150 SP, Tena dragbike ( lookalike) my General purpose bike: KLX 250 also a pic of a true unique bike in Asia; a 1960's Sparta ( Dutch brand) 49cc Moped Missing on the pics is my wife's Click-i

New Update: Last friday there was a so called open day at BRIC. Well open day?, there were no annoucements made on the website/facebook so I guess it was a bit on invitation only, ( for the Buriram united crowd)
It was more of a promotional event with big screen and a speech from Mr Newin. and from what I heard no bikes or cars on the track. here some pics:
And here is a Youtube video made a few weeks ago from a (slow) lap on the track

Here we go! The build is steaming along. Next update: speedo and rev counter added, engine in place, handle bars on, shocks in place too. It's getting exciting! Looking Good Thaiwi!! The way it goes now you can ride it in a few days. Engine looks superclean.
So he usues the green books from the rescued frames and have the "new" engine added/changed in the book?
keep us updated!!!

I do the occasional fishing and even caught in a fishing park it's still an archievement these big carps are not easy to catch, even in such a pond.Landing such a monster is a archievment and need proper fishing skils.
Congrats to this guy.
The reason many fishers go to these fishing park is that fishing in the "wild" is not rewarding anymore, since all and I mean ALL the fish the locals catch is eaten so there's not much left in the wild.

Thaiwi, could you ask your builder if he also could use an engine with a manual clutch,( I sometimes see older waves 100/110 with a manual clutch) the thing what always has put me off with these kind of bikes is that semi auto gearbox.( never manage to make smooth downshifts )

you'll probably get more results if you post here. Im still waiting for my auto lube pump.
http://www.2strokeclub.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=7ac4de53b59b8cacadc7eb3e8a28521f&board=9.0
Thanks!! see if I can navigate through that site lots of parts there espescially from the KRR Kawa's there is lots of stuff around. where did you order that autolube pump??
This one is for my TZR (3RR) not my TZM (4AP) but I expect they both use the same servo motor ( will check on my TZM)

That member was me It was my first phonecall... Thanks anyway
No more new TZM's in KK ( all sold) but there is a shop in BKK which still has NOS TZM's
do a search on TV for NOS bikes and you'll find the thread about that shop in BKK.

The servo motor( which controls the powervalve) from my TZR 150 is fried, and this part has been discontinued by Yamaha.
I've tried my usual part-suppliers and contacts but no more stock, so i'm hoping someone knows a shop where they sell second hand parts.( or still have stock)
Around my region ( Buriram) i don't know of any second hand part shops/ bike scrapyards but mayby a TV member can point me in the right direction.
The part is for a Yamaha TZR 150 year 2000 it's a servo motor assy Part number: 3RR-85820-00
In the meanwhile i will try my luck at the small local bike repairshops if they have any trashed TZR in their yard.
Thanks in advance

Doesn't Honda give a 3 year warranty or something?
I had my instrument cluster replaced on a CBR after 2 years and didn't pay a penny.
3 years on a scooter?
Yep, my wife's Click-i had a broken fuel pump and it was replaced by Honda for 0 baht, it was almost 3 years old when it happend, pretty good service for a scooter. The only thing what they wanted to see was the servicebook.

Please show us the result.
I find those super cubs you posted very nice.
Many times the Thai "custom / modification / tuning" style is a bit too "busy" to my liking but this builder has a nice clean style, love those black rims.
I bet you can't wait for your bike to be ready :-)

Like a scene from one of those over the top action movies.
From all of the Russian dashcam vids on Youtube I've seen this is the best so far.

Just out of curiousity: what kind of bike from 1981 can be so disguisted and being sold as a 1997 model??
-
I live not far from the track, and it was always easy to ride in and look at the progress, that has changed since they started with laying the tarmac, there are gates and security everywhere, so they not to charmed with curious visitors anymore.
I'm under the impression that the dragstrip is mayby added in a later stage, they now have there hands full with finishing the track for the first races in October.
In the design pics there is a Dragrace start strip outside from the actual track:
On the latest "skyview"pics there is still no sight of anything like a start area there
I will make another attempt to sneak in, mayby putting a Buriram United sticker on my bike and fooling the security pretending to be one of the Buriram United riders will help, but then again they all ride big KTM's and I have just a KLX 250:-)

Toyota Corolla (E20). 1970–8 (prod. 3,210,000 approx.). 2- and 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé, 3- and 5-door van and wagon. F/R, 1166, 1407, 1588 cm³ (I4 OHV), 1588 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Launched May 1970, Coke-bottled shape follow-up to original Corolla, proving a bigger hit. Bigger all round, with sporty looking coupé and attractive (for the time) sedan
When it would have been a Coupe it would be worth what your asking.....but your wannabee "rally" CorollaNow this is a classic Toyota:[attachment=278542:T GT.jpg]Back to Bikes.........

Kawasaki unveiling some new Ninja
in Motorcycles in Thailand
Posted
A Turbo would be nice, back in the 1980's the big four all had a Turbo charged models ( Honda CX 500/650 Turbo, Kawasaki Z 750 Turbo, Suzuki GS 650 turbo,XN 85 Yamaha XJ650 turbo) and i think even Moto Morini had a V-twin 500 turbo) it never was a big succes and they dissapeared after a few years. Mayby this time?? BTW Any news about the rumours (a few months back) of a Kawa 250cc 4inline??
