  1. Is Russia holding their best stuff in reserve? Neither you nor I know that for a fact, in spite of what analysts think, think being the operative word.
  2. Like I said, AN has strict rules about links and I don’t want to run afoul of them. As to stories being substantiated, links to western funded websites is not my idea of substantiation. It is highly unlikely that any western funded website would post any articles that are not in line with the western narrative.
  3. I believe a lot of the Oz reviews are of the first gen Haval which has a 2l engine which is not available in Thailand. There are also newer reviews of the hybrid model with the 1.5l turbo charged engine which gives better mileage. I have gone for the PHEV but have not received any updates as to the delivery date. It’s promised for no later than end December.
  4. All I know is that if Ukraine runs out of weapons, the war would stop. Right or wrong, not for me to say but it’s the truth. Can’t fight without weapons.
  5. Much as I am a fan of EVs, I can’t fathom a possible need for this lol
  6. Exactly. No one country can dictate to another. Not that it means they won’t try.
  7. Slow working on Russia but incredibly fast working in bringing down the EU lol
  8. Putin is going after valid infrastructure targets such as power plants etc. Unfortunately, there’s some collateral damage as the Americans like to put it. If Putin was indeed targeting civilians, I’m sure the number of dead would be in the hundreds and thousands, not tens.
  9. Sanctions hahaha. Yup, Europe loving the sanctions and begging for more lol. Apart from the collective west, hardly any other country bothers about sanctions anymore. US hegemony is no more, in case you didn’t know.
  10. Since when can the US dictate to Russia as to whether Russia can or cannot purchase weapons from Iran? And what can the US do about it?
  11. By many accounts, the Chips Act will backfire dramatically. It will set China back a few years but will also hurt America’s allies badly. But that is the usual price a nation has to pay for backing the US. More sanctions please… ????
  12. This is the political system that enables such an unqualified person to assume the highest office in the land. If it works for them, fine. I just wish that they stop shoving it down other nations’ throats.
  13. That’s the most accurate post I’ve ever read from you. Well done. Ps: It’s Mandarin.
  14. Will he be charged? Lindsey Graham warned that there would be riots in the streets. So a toss up between rule of law and riots. Tough call.
  15. Does NARA know what documents are missing? Would be worrying if they don’t. But if they do, the Special Master’s job is not significant at all, is it?
  16. When it doesn’t concern you, something that America has always struggled with.
  17. In your opinion, I cite nonsense. But how truths and facts be nonsense? Isn’t it true that millions of Americans think that the election was stolen from Trump (even if he personally doesn’t believe it)? Isn’t it true that Virgina Thomas thinks that the election was stolen, as per reporting by US msm? So how can truths and facts be nonsense just because you disagree with them?
  18. No. A couple of glasses of Royal Salute followed by a great meal with some very good wine, some port with the cheese board and a couple of brandies puts me in the right state of mind for a stretched out sleep in a fully reclinable real leather chair. Upon waking up, an ablution in a clean, good sized closet without 20 people in front of you sets the stage for a hearty full English with fresh orange juice and a few double espressos. Fast track through immigration and no wait time for my luggage allows me to literally bounce out of the airport, ready for that day’s challenges. No cushy government job for me, sadly.
  19. I hate the whole experience of flying, from packing to queuing up to dealing with <deleted>ty immigration officers (especially in the west). Business class takes a bit of that edge off. Premium booze does the rest lol. And I usually start work on arrival, something that would be a struggle if I had to fly cattle class.
  20. I have no preference either way as the affairs of Russia and Ukraine are none of my business. The impact of the war though, together with the sanctions imposed and the resulting consequences have unfortunately impacted me and everyone around the world. China hasn’t intervened as it’s not their war to fight. It’s an European war and China and India and the global south has correctly stayed out of it. Hopefully European nations will adopt the same neutral stance if there is a war in Asia.
  21. Far as I know, he’s the only recent president that did not start a war with another country. Assassinations don’t count.
  22. I usually drink wine or whisky with my meals. I find it quite hard to match after dinner treats with brandy .
  23. Good news for the military industrial complex. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/09/28/the-us-and-europe-are-running-out-of-weapons-to-send-to-ukraine.html
  24. There are not dissimilar pictures and videos from war zones all around the world. Leaders for those aggression have not been punished either. The world has become immune to pictures of human suffering.
