  1. No, not at all. But you are if you think Russia, who is winning overwhelmingly, will withdraw. This is the problem some people and governments have. They are high on their own propaganda and illusions. Russia, with its far superior army is now just toying with Ukraine. Pick off a unit here and there, take a village here and there. Reports of Ukrainian soldiers surrendering, of elite Azov units unwilling to fight. Writing is on the wall but some are just too blind to see. Poor Ukraine.
  2. Very true too. But answer a simple question if you will. Say you are Bobby Fisher playing a game of chess (in case you never heard of Bobby Fisher) with an average club player and you are up a queen, a rook, 2 knights and 2 bishops. Would you offer a draw to your opponent?
  3. I would not be surprised if these converted ICEVs catch fire. It would back up Toyota’s anti-EV push.
  4. Only an idiot would not consider an EV for their next car. Better performance, comfort, technology, lower cost of operation, no air borne pollution… Did anyone tell you that you are clueless about EVs? EVs are more efficient in city driving than ICEVs. Don’t know which part of your anatomy you pulled this out off but naturally, the longer you have your climate control on, the more energy you consume. I know from first hand experience that my car uses only about 1 - 2 kWh for my air-con.
  5. China tramples on the rights of protesters, arresting hundreds of students including Professors at various campuses around the country. Oh, wait.. I think I inserted the wrong link…
  6. Anyway, coming back to the topic. If Ukraine fires one or more of these long range missiles into Russia, I predict that Ukraine might well cease to exist. Russia has escalatory dominance here.
  7. Your obsession with links is worrying. Maybe see a doctor about it? In many cases, links are just journalists’ reports, very often based on anonymous sources. They can hardly be considered facts. Fact is that America just voted for another $61 billion for the Ukraine project. Fact is that various politicians as well as the Secretary of Defence if I’m not mistaken, emphasising that a large part of this stays in the US and creates jobs etc. Surely you don’t need links for these. At the end of the day, this is an internet discussion forum. Nothing discussed here make an iota of difference. Chill, relax. Sabai sabai 😆
  8. Like I said, what he is is of no relevance to the subject matter at hand. He reckons Ukraine can’t win. Not just him, lots of other analysts and experts as well. Do you think Ukraine can still win this conflict?
  9. Is this a court of law or an internet discussion forum? If I said I am living in Thailand, do I have to show everyone a copy of my residence stamp? But since you insist, here is your much desired link; https://www.dw.com/en/ukraine-halts-passport-services-for-men-living-abroad/a-68923603#:~:text=Ukraine is cutting off consular, doubt its efficacy — and legality. Maybe you can be also as proficient when it comes to posting nonsense about EVs lol.
  10. Apparently, back in March 2022, Ukraine was ready to sign a peace deal with Russia but this was scuttled by the then British PM, Boris Johnson. I heard the Russian FM, Lavrov said this himself on a video on YT (translated of course as I don’t speak Russian). Did you also hear of this or is this, in your opinion, just more, as you are so fond to say, B.S.?
  11. What he has been or is, is of no consequence to me. What matters are whether his views and opinions are based on facts and whether they make sense or not. One of the things he says is that Ukraine has no chance of winning. I believe he is right. Don’t you?
  12. I googled Scott Ritter. Seems like he was a former US military intelligence officer and U.N. weapons inspector. So don’t fault me for believing his views over those of retired expats living in Thailand posting on an internet forum. Incidentally, during my research, I also came across names like Professors Sachs and Mearsheimer. They seem to be highly educated and intelligent scholars, unlike some posters. I have spotted blatant lies from the western msm so I don’t consider them as credible sources of information.
  13. I read somewhere that Ukraine is stopping consular services for its citizens living abroad, no renewal of passports etc, to force them to return to Ukraine to be conscripted. If true, I’d imagine they would also be freezing their bank accounts soon as well. Things are really going from bad to worse for Ukraine. Does anyone still believe that Ukraine can win this conflict?
  14. Yes, I read that in western main stream propaganda as well. Since then however, I’ve done more research and came across more compelling, believable and logical reasons which goes against the western narrative. Looks to me like you’re the one in the dark.
  15. Unsurprisingly, like a lot of anti-EVers, you don’t know of what you speak. Lots of condos and apartments have chargers installed in their car parks. https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/ev-chargers-installed-at-700-hdb-carparks-new-public-fast-chargers-in-toa-payoh-punggol What’s ridiculous is the amount of air borne pollution caused by ICEVs, especially diesel. I imagine breathing the air in downtown Bangkok nowadays, especially with the heat, must be pretty unbearable.
  16. Yeah, sure. Hard to keep fighting when you have no men or equipment. Or no land, although if, and that’s a big if, Russia decides to continue to advance, they are unlikely to go past Kiev or Odessa. That should be a buffer zone big enough. What’s pitiful are the Ukrainians. What’s criminal are guys like you and your governments, pushing Ukraine to fight to the last Ukrainian (Lindsey Graham).
  17. It’s been over 2 years since the SMO started. Since then, the Ruble has become rubble (Biden), the Russian economy is in tatters and they are dropping washing machines into Ukraine (Von der crazy), the Russian soldiers are fighting with shovels (BBC) as 50% of their military has been destroyed without the loss of a single American soldier’s life (Lindsey Graham) (although their army is 15% stronger (Cavoli)). And yet, Ukraine has less territory than prior to the conflict. So when is your beloved Ukraine going to take off their kid’s gloves and start asserting their might on the battlefield? The first counter offensive was a total success, recapturing about 2 sq km of land. I’m sure the next counter offensive will be able to recapture 4 sq km at the very least. When are you guys going to wake up to the reality that Ukraine has lost and was always going to lose? If the west had stopped sending weapons 2 years ago like I said they should, there would be an Ukraine today with many men and women of child bearing age to regrow the country. Sadly, this seems no longer possible. But that’s alright. It’s a good investment for America (Graham and Cameron). Poor Ukraine.
  18. There, corrected the text for you. Practically every country in the world is calling for a peaceful resolution to this conflict and yet the west continues to send weapons to Ukraine to continue it, justification being that it’s good for the (US) economy as it creates jobs thus keeping GDP up. If any of these long range weapons hit deep inside Russia and causes mass casualties, then I suspect that all hell will break loose and Kiev will be even flatter than Warsaw was. But that’s ok. It’s only Ukrainian lives. It’s not like any Americans will be affected. P/s: anyone posting a confused emoji, please state your confusion in order that I can try to respond accordingly.
  19. I don’t know any Ukrainians but I feel sorry for them. They are victims of America’s imperialism, hegemony and the MIC as much as the Iraqis and Afghans were. Sadly, unless you believe in God, the day of reckoning for the real perpetrators will not come.
  20. The “exceptional” country has a choice between a doddering, senile geriatric and an unscrupulous con man with vile values to lead them. But that’s democracy for you.
  21. If you don’t have a petrol pump at home, how do you fill your petrol tank? You go to a petrol station, don’t you? Similarly, if you can’t charge your EV at home, you go to a charging station. Never thought of that, did you? Did you? Lol.
