Yep, they said they wouldn't touch Section 11something. Which leaves only MFP as reformists, even though I have some doubts.

Thaksin is going to get hammered along with the PTP if the courts rule that MFP is trying to get rid of the monarchy.

The streets will be full of people, and instead of them asking for military rule or PTP it is going to be a sea of ORANGE.

Personally, I think the courts were stupid to take it. They could have simply said that they felt the amending of Art 112, while not possible, would not affect the people's love of the King and let it go.

Now Pita and all the members of MFP are going to become martyrs.

I think Thaksin realizes that this could be a bigger protest than anything the PTP or TRT ever had and is worried.

    Yes.

    You are correct.

But, somebody already made a very good suggestion concerning the best/most-efficient/quietest fans for my box.

I am, indeed, indebted to all the good support I have received from TV members.

TV members have never failed me, in my times of need.

    Thanks to all!

    TV is a wonderful resource.

And so, I do my best to contribute, in kind, as my way of paying back for the fruits that I have been given.

NOTE:  I purchased the CPU over a month ago....  The i5-13600K....

Doesn't  CM have it's own version of the old Pamntip where it is almost all computer sales.

Why would he need to leave the international portion of the airport if changing planes here? They do not look for Thai stamps if not actually leaving the international section in the airport. And he will not be passing through Thailand immigration either.

The OP is not clear where he is now. Is he presently in Thailand looking to go to Laos?  Is he in a Western country flying directly to Laos?

This, I think, is the confusion.  If he is presently in Thailand and Overstay, he is going to get nailed by immigration at the airport or border for being overstayed.   I think then he may have an issue with paying fine.  Border runners may be able to say what would happen at the border crossing into Laos.

Laos immigration, if they see that you have been blacklisted for Thailand, may ask questions and, based on that, can refuse entry.

I am sure the Canadian that just got nailed for being 2955 would probably get refused, and he has a history.  BUT it would be up to the border immigration agent.

That is a pity, especially for those passengers who have started to rely on the service.

Whilst the trains are proven in service elsewhere, this is the first time a Thai company has constructed a monorail guideway system.

will be interesting to see what the actual problem is and whether it affects the Pink Line, using the same rolling stock/guideway system as well.

They did these on the cheap and quickly I think that they are proving that Thailand does not have a company that can do it.

Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi, president of the Thai Hotels Association, called on the government to legalise unregistered accommodation swiftly to ensure fair competition and sustainable standards.

Im led to believe it's nigh on impossible to obtain a license,

And in her next breath she complained that small  registered hotel need assistance.

Local outrage - what nonsense, now national action?

What is a crackdown on foreigners? Are they going to hassle us in the malls? 🤣

This is what happens when you target party tourism.  When the beaches and hotels have very little for families and are more geared to young party types.

The difference between Pats and Phuket is simple.

Pattaya caters to the old guy that wants to go to the bar have a few get his ashes hauled and go home.

Phuket is the hip party place where the young people party all night.

Phuket had a great chance to reinvent itself and decided that it liked the greed, raunchy lifestyle and high-spending party lifestyle clients.

Too bad, actually  (looking at a different post God may have tried to send a message but it was not received)

I can see a case for a girlfriend or wife once you've lost interest in sex

I can tell you that GF and I have been together for several years, and neither of us has lost interest.

The other side of things is that having a GF or a couple, if you have t hve variety, is not an issue. Just look at the websites. Lol plenty of looking for a handsome farang.

Even young ones that want a sugar daddy.

Gods. Invented by humans to keep the masses controlled.

The belief is that we were created.  No matter how there had to be something that did it.

I have read the bible and debted teh koran with

Whether you believe in god, Allah or any Hindu god, there is one thing that we need to understand.

All of these books/religions, along with Buddhism, promote peace, ethics and love thy neighbour.

The challenge we have is that man was created with one big flaw.  He wants more.

It is interesting that those people who truly believe in the TRUE life understand that they must love each other.

The challenge is that man has and always will be tempted, even from the beginning.

The bible, koran, Talmud and Bhudda's teachings are all guidelines for living a true and peaceful world.

Imagine if the priests and monks all lived according to their oaths.

From a Thai perspective King Rama IX extolled the virtues and created a plan for all Thais to live a good life under a Sufficiecnncy Economy philosophy.  Imagine if the people had or did establish it.

    Why don't they?   GREED

As to why God allows these things to happen, consider this.  There have been more and more hurricanes. Tsnumai's and weather-related issues in the world.

Who is to say that they have not been a message from a higher power?

  11. Hollywood has become a CGI AI world, where before it was real-life stunts, and how far you could go is now how much CGI can you do.

The other issue is that most of the people have left Hollywood, and those that are left behind are bereft of fresh ideas because most of it has already been done.

I don't leave 20%, I don't think very many people do leave 20% here in Thailand but 20 baht to a Food Panda delivery person or to a waitress in a restaurant can make a real difference for them, and it means nothing to us.

Anybody can come up with a dozen reasons to not leave a tip, it's leaving a tip that makes a difference. Are we making a mark on the world or are we just another warm body taking up space?

10-15% is reasonable if you get really good service.

Personally, I tip 100 baht when I go for a massage. My ex explained to me when I got here that they only get a small percentage, if that or a minimum wage for their work.

I find that tipping for good service helps all the people working in the business, as most businesses share tips.

It's about 90 minute drive to Ban Phe, then get the ferry. Use to cost 200 baht entrance fee. Clean sea, relatively laid back. Spent Songkran there a few years back, going again this year. Might be a challenge to book room at this stage, but try Samet Villa Resort - best to phone them - my favourite place on the island.

There may not be many spots left, but the beaches are great, and if you stay away from the village, you should only get wet from the sea.

I would get my assets on agoda right away. There are only a few good rooms left

Can't argue with your first point but when the legal selling time is 11am, not quite so sure about the second, especially in tourist areas, where many Scandinavians are fond of a beer with breakfast!

Like I said it was not going to be popular LOL

There is nothing stopping them from having breakfast at home in their apartment.  The guys i see sitting at the bars watching people are not eating LOL
